  1. Please post a bug report to this thread.
  2. Have you tried compiling with "Optimize for" set to "None"? There seems to be some problems with optimized versions. Other than that it could be a bug in MAME.
  3. GameEx thinks the application has closed. The best way to solve this is to use the Advanced Config Editor. Go to "Advanced Emulator Setup" in the GameEx Setup Wizard and next to "Advanced Config" click the [...] button. You can create a new config by selecting File->Save As. Check the "Process Wait" tab. Select the executable for the game and now GameEx will wait for this process to end before returning back to the FE.
  4. These are strange errors. I would try installing GameEx again from a fresh download of the latest version. Also try installing the .NET 2.0 runtimes again.
  5. That was before you updated to Windows 7. I was just saying it was likely not a RAM issue. Adultery is on the right track with your latest problem so continue to follow his instructions.
  6. Since it's an error raised when enumerating joystick and keyboard devices using DirectInput I would have tried unplugging the keyboard and joystick to see if the error went away.
  7. An "Attempted to read or write protected memory" error is not in any way indicative of bad RAM chips. It is .NET's security preventing access to protected memory.

    Noob Needs Help

Yeah that is an old card. He only has 512 MB of RAM too.
  10. It could of just been a potential security risk that was patched rather than some sort of attack.
  11. You can enter an offscreen X position in the edtior.
  12. Actually it's not a limitation of GS it's how it's displayed. I use GS in CPWizard and pressing select goes from full page view to scrolling view. I just thought GameEx did the same thing. Anyway it wouldn't be difficult for Tom to add this feature.
  13. Doesn't pressing the select button change from fullscreen to the scrolling view?
  14. I thought CFG Magician can do this? It should be able to set the switch for each game.
  15. Thanks AlphaUMi your contribution is greatly appreciated!
  16. WinUAE Loader v1.76 Released - Fixed bug in artwork converter and artwork may not be in subfolders - Added support for editing the .uae files - Enable & Disable Input and Display options - New option under Config tab to disable uae config overwriting - New "-mode auto" command line option for detecting the type of game Since some people were having problems with WinUAE Loader overwriting configs. Now you can set up configs using WinUAE and not overwrite them. Also with the new "-mode auto" it can detect which set the game is from so you can combine all your Amiga stuff into a single emulator.
  17. Can you post the full error? Also can you post your theme so I can try and load it?
  18. We have a new sponser. Adultery can you please add this banner and update the BYOAC post?
  19. I just posted this on the Aussie Arcade front page.
  20. AFAIK The 64-bit version of Explorer.exe is in C:\Windows. Perhaps try running it using the full path "C:\Windows\Explorer.exe"
  21. It was a waste of time to support two different configuration apps and the Setup Wizard can do so much more now. With it's support for larger fonts I don't see any reason for it.
  22. I forgot that compiling an AutoHotkey script will UPX it. I checked the Mame Mapping Magician 1.0.exe and it's still UPX'ed (you can tell in the first 100 bytes or so in a Hex editor looking for "UPX"). Anyway you might want to decrypt it for the next release.
  23. It's detecting a signature of an AHK script. You can view the source code for it in the GameEx folder (Mame Mapping Magician 1.0.ahk). False alarm.
  24. GameEx should use very little to no CPU when it's launched a game. AFAIK all it does is poll input during that time (which should not be noticable at all). It will be using some RAM but nothing should impact the performance. If you want to see hard figures download Process Explorer and take a look. If you do report back what you find.
