    pc boot up

The problem is when you try to plug in the IPAC into a different USB port the driver gets messed up. You need to run http://www.ultimarc.com/Ipacfix.reg then unplug and re-plug in the IPAC.
  2. Yep, its a common problem, in the cfg file for zsnes you have to set ShowGUI = 0 or something like that. Then it works.
  3. Not sure, try doing a search in the GameEx folder for files containing the text of the last game played in the list?

    pc boot up

A search on BYOAC brings up heaps of ideas about booting pc's, the BIOS method, smart strip method, a button on the CP, a button connected to the front button on the PC, or directly to the motherboard. So it's worth having a read to decide what you want to do. Here is a link on BYOAC which I believe has an actual diagram on hooking up a switch to the m/b. Post back your results here, as it's one of the few things I havn't done myself yet either (Currently I open the front door and press the power button on the PC).

    pc boot up

Not all BIOS's have this function, but if you have a BIOS that supports boot on keypress your set. You might want to update your motherboards BIOS then check it out.
  6. There is also the new LCD/LED Plugin for GameEx I'm working on that supports some LCD displays. But not much of that has been tested yet. You can read more about it here.
  7. Okay, that bug should be fixed now. Can you try again thanks. Can you also verify as working.. 1. Scrolling through the list the correct buttons light up for the game 2. When attract mode starts the buttons go into attract mode (random lighting effects) 3. Selecting a game from the list highlights each button one by one saying the action, then lights up all buttons 4. Running a game will turn off all LED's
  8. Can you try again, I've added some exception handling that should give us a message if an error occurs.
  9. Hey ourgrace.. the audio mode isn't on there yet. I think the plugin must be crashing after launching a game.. I'll look into it today.
  10. Did you try running my KeyCodes program (linked earlier in this thread), in the background to find out what key is being pressed?
  11. That or a less sensitive way to exit from Attract mode. I wonder if the standard Windows screensaver has this problem? Perhaps the attract mode could exit after holding down a control for a few seconds rather than on the instant input is detected.
  12. Of all the FE plugin's for LEDWiz, I'm the only one who wrote one without the hardware. So I did rely alot on beta testers which is why I thank them so much for helping out; without them it wouldn't have been possible. Also, this is the only LEDWiz plugin with an attract mode "dance to music" and "speak button actions" that I know of Still I need people to test it, so we'll have to wait and see if it even works yet as I don't even have a clue if it does!
  13. The issue is that wireless traffic interferes with wireless mouse and keyboards. I've seen it happen with my mouse during copying, basically it becomes unusable. So it's not really a GameEx issue at all, it's the fact that wireless devices are effected by 802.11x traffic and then GameEx is told there is a keypress or mouse movement.
  14. LCD/LED Plugin 1.92 ============== -: SUPPORTS :- - BetaBrite - BPP-440 - CrystalFontz - PJRC - ProLite - LEDWiz -: FEATURES :- - Multiple hardware support at a time (for any of the above devices) - Game display and/or button hilighting while scrolling through a game list - LEDWiz attract mode/s (lwa's/demo/audio/plasma) - LEDWiz audio attract mode (LED's dance to music) - LEDWiz speak button actions (Each button is lit up one by one while the action is spoken) - LEDWiz plasma attract mode (10 paletted effects) - Create your own LWA animation files for LEDWiz attract mode - Uses real game CP colors to light up your RGB LED's (uses colors.ini which currently supports 1210 ROMs) - Uses Mame Interop (Mame.dll) to receive events from Mame in realtime and sends them to the LEDWiz or LCD (Eg. Flashing start buttons when you drop in a coin, flashing buttons on LEDWiz or output to LCD "PAUSED" message when paused) -: LATEST FEATURES :- - Test attract and lcd test modes in the configuration - Realtime color feedback while you configure your LED's - Color mapping so you can map custom colors for colors.ini - Now LEDs lights up and flash leaving last LED lit with speak button actions feature - Skip speak button actions feature with button - Includes over 70 lwa animations - LEDWiz plugin now works with cfg files in Mame so it will light up buttons correctly for custom key mappings -: INSTRUCTIONS :- - Just copy the files into your GameEx\PLUGIN folder and run the GameEx Plugin Manager to configure the devices. It should be pretty straight forward. - You can place LWA files in the GameEx\PLUGIN\LWA folder and the plugin will randomly show your own custom made animations in attract mode. You can create them using the GGG LEDWiz software. You must have GameEx 7.50+ to use this plugin. -: VIDEOS :- You can check out some videos of my plugin in action here -: THANKS :- Big thanks go out to the Mala team (loadman, swindus, edge) for help, testing and inspiration and Sliver (thanks for LCDGen source!), Time Pilot & ourgrace for testing and MikeQ for ledwiz.dll. Also thanks to RandyT from www.GroovyGameGear.com for the donation of a LEDWiz. And of course Tom! ************************************* NOTE: This plugin is no longer available because there is a newer version. The PluginLCD V2 page can be found @ http://www.gameex.in...?showtopic=4564 *************************************
  15. I second that, I already know someone who has played Mame lightgun games using the wiimote. It works just like a mouse AFAIK.
  16. Thanks ourgrace, I will fix up the speak actions thing, just needed to see if it worked.' The audio mode won't do anything until the audio is setup to record the Stereo Mix out and the level is set right. The red around the boarder is the colour it's trying to set the colour LED's when music is playing. If you play a song on your PC and that colour dosn't change according to the music, it won't be working for your LED's either.
  17. Just to see if it makes any difference I tried setting to flat menu on my dev machine (which has mostly default settings) and it just puts Radio on the start page instead of under Multimedia. So it must be some other setting or something.
  18. In zsnesw.cfg.. GUIDisable = 1
  19. Okay, I've just added another LEDWiz feature I need testing. It's called "Speak Control Actions" and it's a tickbox at the bottom of the LCDTest window. When you have it checked and select a game from the list it should hilight each button one by one and speak the action associated to it. If that can be tested along with the other standard hilighting of a controls. Ricci: I'm not 100% sure since there are a few different types of BetaBrites. I believe the USB ones are the ones we can't yet communicate to, and the others should have standard serial connections of some sort. I would contact BetaBrite and find out if we can do standard COM port serial communications with your model.
  20. From the GameEx menu, it's Multimedia->Radio.
  21. Thanks ourgrace, your beta testing is also appreciated! It's been so long since I've looked at the code (due to lack of testers) that I didn't realise that my controls.ini processing was incomplete. So I've fixed that part of the code and it should light up the correct controls now. If you can confirm that it's working again please. Were just about ready to turn this into a plugin
  22. I think I've figured it out; the DLL is expecting the bits in opposite order I'm giving them. The documentation dosn't actually say what order they should be, it only gives an example for turning them all on (SBA:255, 255, 255, 255) and all off (SBA:0,0,0,0). From the examples you can't see what order they should be in, but I should have assumed right to left instead of left to right I guess. So for '88 Games it should be SBA:7,24,7,0,2 This is why I need beta testers ourgrace, can you download and try again, thanks.

    LEDWiz Advice

Hi iano, thanks for the offer but keep your money for your cab. If your not a registered user of GameEx, you could always donate money for that instead. The plugin should hopefully be finished by the time you get your CP made
  24. You just made me realise that this setting isn't in the Setup Wizard. I will have to add this in for Tom's next release. For now you can run Start->Programs->GameEx->Advanced Configuration. Select Multimedia/HTPC and Startup Video/Dir is the folder to your startup video.
  25. A quick type of cd+g ripper in Google turns up a few results.
