No. Games should list based on your path, rom/disc images, and filters. Please give more details. Post your config so we can see what's going on. Instructions on how to do so can be found in the How to ask for Help thread by Tempest, step 1.
Have already directed Tom to this thread. Seems he's here now to give his input. Best to wait on that instead of doing some much work unless it's something we know that can be fixed. Please wait for Tom!
Actually $CmdLine[1] is reading the 1st parameter after the executable. Normally would be the rom name. So this is looking for a file called whatever your rom is named. GAM would be the section. Number would be the key. 1 would be the default. Look at the following: It's hard to give support without seeing more code. But since this is impossible it makes it that much harder.
Recreating it could be accomplished if we only knew how it worked. I don't know the details of what it did since I never used it. Maybe list some of the details and we can whip something up. I would ask him personally but don't care to bother him with something he don't care to contribute to.
Talk about it is ok but sharing the files are not. That's of course the files are NoLogic's work. Unfortunately they have been pulled and will not be shared here to respect his wishes. There are a few of us that were lucky enough to have some of his work.
Well you still have the option of doing it the way you had intended in the first place as well. Even though the suggested way is the way to go for most users if you have the space.
Now you even confused me as to what's going on. LOL. So much going on and so many different users using different ways of making ZiNc work. This is why I haven't attempted a tutorial cuz too much going on. We need a global way for GameEx users to get ZiNc going. Anyways........If you want I can remote in and help you. To me, it is just faster as I can do what I need instead of going back and forth in the forums. If interested in PM me and we'll try to setup a time for you.
Perhaps the issue here is also related as it seems to be getting stuck at the same place in the log. I'll direct Tom to this thread to get his input. Thank you for the report and sorry for the inconvenience.
The problem may be here: GamesIn7Zips=True This is looking for zipped roms where as the roms in the folder seem to be uncompressed in smc format. Set this to No in setup which will turn this False. Also the map file for this emulator is the one that needs to be deleted to rebuild the list if it doesn't rebuild. According to your setup, it would be the EMU_1.map file located in the DATA directory of your GameEx install.
I've had luck with BlueMSX for Colecovision. This was awhile ago as I only played one game (memories from childhood) on it. I had great results with it but just use MESS for it now. My sources recommend BlueMSX and MEKA as the top emulators for this system. NONMESS suggests that they run fine in MESS so depends on the features you want and the luck with certain roms I guess. Best to try those out and see what you like!
Not sure the SYSCARD.pce is required in the command-line since it's loaded at first setup and then is called from then on. Maybe try the following command-line and see if it loads the image. Don't use this emulator or this system so I can not test past this. Sorry. Ootake.exe /CD Edit: I guess this gives the same results? Again hard to test with no images to test with.
I tried with it with the 5200.rom since that's what it was first asking for. I never tried just pointing to the bios in it's conventional name with the .a52 extension. And I tried it with a rom that had the .a52 extension and it ran just fine.
Have you tried running them that way? When I tested last night, I was able to run mine which are in .a52 format as well. Just not zipped as I mentioned. I was using my No-Intro set. So renaming them may not be required.
I don't personally use this emulator but the command-line seems pretty straight forward. Just read the General-Usage.html file included in the doc folder of this emulator. Seems that it's simple. kat5200.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" This should work just fine and setup the emulator to go fullscreen as well as any other options. I just downloaded to read the help file for ya but haven't completely tested. Not sure if zipped roms are supported. If not then use zip support in GameEx. Users of this emulator will have more info on this. Just giving the basics.
Funny how that works! I notice I have a lot less toys when I'm in a relationship. Now that I'm single I've been building up stuff that I want. LOL. Usually though when I settle down, I buy my stuff in pairs. Can't have them having something that I don't have. Cuz we all know we won't be able to use it much or at all for that matter.
