  1. This part is what confuses me!
  2. It's best to start another topic. Especially if it's been marked as [RESOLVED]. Please run in debug mode as it will show why it's not working. Command-line looks fine from here.
  3. Did ya bring us any souvenirs? And I hope it's not that controller. LOL.
  4. It would be best to post this in the Feature Requests topic.
  5. You break stuff all the time!
  6. Yay! Now I can have a life again! Now you can give the support all by yourself!
  7. I know Brian! Help me! Help me! I hate these guys! LOL.
  8. The files are stored in the MEDIA folder of the selected theme. MAMEBak.png is the name for the background file for MAME. emubak.png is the default for Emulators. For a custom one then these files need to be saved in the MEDIA folder and can be selected in the Emulator Setup section, Custom Background setting. And the data will be saved in the GameEx.ini file of course.
  9. It! LOL. Miss ya Brian!
  10. Sure has. In my years here, it's grown ridiculously. Only worth editing by hand if you're familiar with the settings as us senior members are. The setup apps make it easy to deal with. They both offset each other and offer things that the other doesn't. So glad they co-exist. I hope my app that I'm writing will compete and be used.
  11. If you just edit the EMU_29.map file then it will be rewritten because GameEx will rebuild it. Did you follow the directions I gave? I quoted myself to the key points again.
  12. No problem. As a rule it's always best to enclose [ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE] in quotes. Actually Project64 (earlier versions) is the only exception I'm aware of. Marking as [RESOLVED]! Enjoy!
  13. Ahhhh ok. I thought it handled different brackets as well. Sorry! Then I would suggest creating a copy of that map file and then editing it with a text editor so that you don't mess with your files. You can use regex to clean it up easily. Also, Tempest created a MAP file app called Map File Magician that can simplify this for you. Then you just simply point GameEx to this file by selecting it in the Map File setting found in Emulator Setup. An example would be as follows: Addams Family [U][CD][TGXCD1019][ICOM Simulations][1991][PCE][rigg].cue|Addams Family or Addams Family [U][CD][TGXCD1019][ICOM Simulations][1991][PCE][rigg].cue "Addams Family"
  14. Have you tried putting the file in quotes? I know the older version required there be no quotes used but I think the newer versions fixed that. I could be wrong and have no way of testing since don't have that version. Try the following and if not then we'll try something else. Project64.exe "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"
  15. Maybe try rebuilding the list? Delete the EMU_29.map file found in the DATA directory of you GameEx install.

Actually they do! They just have a GUI built around MAME.
  17. Advanced Config alphabetizes emulators for you with a setting found in Enable/Disable Features section on the 3rd page called Sort List of Emulators. Help context on this feature is as followed:
  18. I tend to run both setup applications, depending on what I'm trying to accomplish. The setups are kinda hard to understand at first but once you get the hang of it then it's very easy. For stuff I don't remember, I tend to read the help context a lot. Even so, both apps have their pros and cons. I myself am writing a new setup application for GameEx as a learning process to vb.net. Maybe some day I will release and hope to simplify things for new user. Adultery and Tom are the only ones who are aware of it and Adultery is the only one who has seen a peak screenshot.
  19. No problem! That would explain it. Good luck with your install and please let us know the results.
  20. Welcome to the forums and sorry for the inconvenience. Search turned up a few results. This one was one of the first ones. Is it related? If not then we can troubleshoot from there as I'm not too familiar with this error.
  21. That's great that it pointed to the correct directory but did the game actually run?
  22. The PONG sim I remember was this that was directed from NONMESS. Not sure if this is what you're after.
  23. For now I think they should be posted at the social club so that support questions can be handled here. As for releases, I'm not all that much for them. Reason being is that there are releases on something emulation related all the time. This is news that are better served by going to emulation sites as that's their purpose. But that's just my two cents. This is not my forum. Sorry but -1 from me.

Understood! As this is something that can be asked, it would be better to ask in HyperSpin forums as they can be of more help and since they use HyperSpin and not GameEx. Please try their forums unless someone is willing to create a tutorial just for you on this subject.

Please stay on topic people! This thread has been totally hijacked and we haven't even heard back from the OP yet.
