  1. I would change something just for testing. I notice that the rom is being called in the command-line as well as daemon tools. It's possible for it to conflict. I would remove the "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" from the command-line as it's not needed there anyways. You have: SSF.exe "[rompath]\[romfile]" Try: SSF.exe This just cleans things up a bit! Also I notice that this isn't in the default SSF.ini: [Program1] DisableInput="1" Not sure what that does but for troubleshooting I would try setting this to 0: [Program1] DisableInput="0"
  2. Thanks Tom!
  3. What interests me is this part of the post. So if you use the keyboard then you're able to enter you initials just fine?
  4. No. Not the db cache as those don't store this data. Actually he did have spaces as indicated in my post. Spaces were after the semi-colon. I could have sworn the map file was not there but when I made the change to the rom filter then it was. But I could be wrong about that. The thing is when it was refreshed, it was a file created at an earlier date according to the file and it created based off an old file he had before. So not sure if it were cached somewhere or what. So understand better: Opened DATA folder so that I could manually delete map file according to this emulator but was not there (or at least don't think it was. LOL.). Then I noticed the filters and I changed them in hopes that the map file would be created correctly. Then noticed the map file there but it had a timestamp from an earlier date. Deleted it Resolved as the list rebuilt. So either I didn't notice map file before or it was created based on something else. According to massop, he deleted all files in the data folder according to that emulator.
  5. [RESOLVED] There was in fact a file called that previously. The map file needed to be rebuilt. The weird thing is that I didn't see a map file for it. I noticed that rom filters had spaces (i.e. "*.bin; *.smd") and I corrected this and then noticed that the map file was built. I then deleted it and it rebuilt just fine and issue was resolved. So I'm assuming that having spaces in the rom filter is not a good thing? Also where is this info cached as it wasn't cached in the any of the cache files related to that emu number?
  6. Please fix your working path. Also you can meet me in chat if you want real-time support. Chat is found on top of forums. There's a tab there for you to click. Seems like it's trying to load a file called that. A 7zip file. Do you have that file? Maybe your list needs to be rebuilt. Is that file being called when you load any file or does that appear on the list?
  7. Karaoke in this setup was setup as an emulator. I tested and GameEx will not play these files like this. Meaning that the user created video snaps for their collection. I'm unaware of a way to hear the MP3 file when scrolled either. How do you have your karaoke setup? I've tested in the karaoke section and audio section and it doesn't give the results you're after. Sorry. Maybe someone who uses audio knows of a way. This is something I don't use in GameEx.
  8. Post your long when trying to run a game please. What is the exactly location that's loading instead of?...: E:\Games\ROMs\Sega megadrive\Europe Why does your Working path have commas?: WorkingPath=E:\Games\emulated\sega megadrive, Game Gear, Master system
  9. To answer your question, I was actually unaware of this feature. Are you sure what you saw was in fact the CD+G file playing the preview and not a video karaoke file instead?
  10. My listing is as follows: ZiNc - 64 Model 2 - 44 Again, that's with all filters off and yet they still don't list complete. So has to do with filters as well as GameEx filtering the rest. I haven't gone through to see what games are filtered out. On a side note, the correct rom amount is being listed for all mame roms.
  11. Glad you got it sorted out. Enjoy!
  12. You can either just post the generated link to the post using bbcode or some users post the link in their signatures so that it shows all the time. Search results turned up this. Have you signed up for a GameEx tag yet?
  13. If you're still on then meet me in the chat room for real-time support. I'll only be around for a few more minutes. The chat can be found on the tab on top of the forums.
  14. I suggest that with every new problem, start a new topic. That way it can benefit other users as well when searching for an issue. Will also help us to know if we've resolved the problem or not. As far as your issue, it's a good thing to test by mounting an image and then running the emulator outside of GameEx. Always test outside of GameEx first!
  15. Thanks Tom!
  16. Actually ZiNc is the only emulator where another rom folder can't be selected unless there's a trick I haven't figured out yet. Model 2 gives you the ability to choose different directories. GameEx points these emulators to the MAME roms folder. Zinc by command-line and Model 2 by editing the EMULATOR.ini file. I've never been able to get GameEx to correctly list all games and that's with all filters off so not sure how it's handled. That's why i choose to set these up as stand-alone emulators. You can always use the mame emu mapping feature to add them to mames list.
  17. I don't use this emulator so bare with me. Does it not work for the img files? If not then the easiest solution would be just to mount the image via external tools in the Start before setting of emulator configuration and then run the emulator. Then it can deal with multiple disc image formats. Otherwise work will have to be put in like creating a wrapper to launch different command-line settings based on file extension or to convert all your images to a standard format recognized by the emulator itself which seems to be bin, iso, img, cue, ccd, and mds.
  18. No problem. Marking this one as [RESOLVED]. It's just a matter of knowing DOS. Rule of thumb: Always use quotes around the file name so it will read everything in between. Else it will read only to the first space. This applies to pretty much everything in GameEx since it's way of launching things is done via command-line.
  19. In that case try: c:/program files (x86)/videoLan/vlc/vlc.exe "[VIDEO]" Quotes around the file should correct this. Sorry. Don't use this feature so wasn't sure it was required.
  20. No. It's for all emulators. Listed by EmuNumber (Emulator Number). 0 being MAME as mentioned by Draco1962 before. Best to just open up the file so you can see the details of what's in there.
  21. Happy Birthday! So am I to assume we're gonna see Happy Birthday posts for every member from now on? LOL.
  22. Don't think he meant GameEx can do this cuz I'm not aware of such a thing either. Just something that can be done by other means.
  23. Yes! It is the DATA.mdb file located in the DATA directory of your GameEx install.
  24. Your filters are invalid. They need to be separated with a semi-colon. Taken from the help context of this setting: Let's fix that issue and then go from there.
  25. Thanks for the details as it makes it easier to troubleshoot. [PATH] is not a valid parameter which proves since it shows in the error. Simply remove it and just use the parameter. c:/program files (x86)/videoLan/vlc/vlc.exe [VIDEO]
