  1. I don't have it in my C:\Program files\Gameex\loaders folder, and I am at version9.12. Now that I have my Gameex.ini, and Pluginultrastik.ini set to read only (Thanks Adultery!) I will let Gameex update today, and see what happens.
  2. Brian wrote a guide to shelling here: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?sh...amp;#entry25142 The part about cursors is about 80% down towards the bottom I hope this helps!
  3. I tried to find the information on how I set up Zinc, but it has been pulled. (it was ********) Zinc.exe ZiNc_Loader.exe Zinc options C:\Emulators\zinc\ZiNc.exe --roms-directory=C:\Emulators\zinc\roms -- renderer=C:\Emulators\zinc\Plugins\Renderer_D3D.znc -- controller=C:\Emulators\zinc\Plugins\Controller_KB.znc ******* had created a loader for zinc, and once it was setup, you used that in Gameex. I have all the files, but not necessarily the knowledge. I Assume that It is not ok for me to upload the Zinc_Loader.exe, any chance that you already have it? Look in Gameex > Loaders That's where I expected it to be, but come to think of it, when it auto updated I bet it got removed. Luckily, I had a copy in my zinc folder. I could not help at all without the loader, Anybody else?
  4. I'm sorry spoonch1, we are talking about two different things. You asked me how I made all of your roms show up in Gameex, and I was trying to upload pictures to show you, but I couldn't fiqure out how to do it. With a little help, I found out that I was trying to upload a .bmp, and the forum uses .jpg format. I saw your pictures, If you change "Only Existing Roms" to yes, I think you will be happier with the results. Keep "verify Roms" turned off, and "update list" will go much faster. I show all of this on the link that I posted before. By the way, I had french in highschool, but what you saw was from Babelfish. I've forgotten all I did know. Your English is way better than my French! Mathieu
  6. Mappy, Unless I'm missing something, the real question is "What Changed?" About halfway up this thread, you were happy as a clam, off to play Mr. Driller, now more problems.... Seriously....What Changed? Did you move a file?, change a config?,re-name something,????. I spend about ten minutes screwing something up, and the rest of the day fixing it. At least it keeps me busy..... One thing I know for sure, "everything effects everything". I'm not busting your balls, just trying to help, and I'll keep trying to help as best I can - Honest!
  7. Use Epsxe to configure your renderers. Even if you are not going to use Epsxe. It has a nice interface to allow you to configure, then you can move the files into the directory that they belong in. It has been said that this is the only way to configure opengl2. I believe that it writes information to the registry. I have no idea what I'm talking about....I'm just a parrot repeating what I heard.
  8. I just updated yesterday, and it was 9.12, so he must have released just to fix this! Edit: Sorry I didn't notice that the topic went to page 2.
  9. Judging from hanging out here, the first thing they'll say is: Do you have Zinc running outside of gameex? What's your command line look like? Post your Gameex.ini
  10. There is a pinned topic for feature requests, place a post there if you want more than 5.
  11. I was trying a BMP which apparently is unacceptable. spoonch1, check this: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?sh...ic=5072&hl= This is what I was trying to do yesterday....I have alot to learn!
  12. If you only want to show roms that you have, change "Only Existing Roms" to yes. Update List! The "Update List" option should be in the Mame section when running Gameex. If not, then you need to enable it in the setup wizard. Run setup wizard, click on "Next", and then select "Search", Click on "Next", and enter "Update List" in the search box at the top, and click on "Search". Put a tick next to the search result, and click "Next". That will take you to the page you need. Make sure "Hide Update List" is set to "No"
  13. Do you mind sharing what you did? It might help others......
  14. I am trying to learn how to display a picture in a post, when I get the help I need, I will show you. Avec plaisir, Mathieu
  15. I made a few changes to your Gameex.ini, Backup the one you have now, and try this one. Don't forget to "Update List" GameEx.zip
  16. There are only two ways to answer a question like this! 1. What do you take me for, some kind of moron! (angrily) or 2. no, but I have it now...(sheepishly)
  17. HAPPY BIRTDAY TOM! Gameex was always #1 in my book!
  18. LMAO There's a fine line between bravery, and stupidity!
  19. You can't beat "Tempest", it just goes on and on. Tempest only saves the top three scores, so the best you can do is to have them all at 999,999. It rolls to 0 from there, and trust me its a pain to die at EXACTLY 999,999. After Level 99, the levels appear randomly so when you die you come back in a different level. In Mame, use Tab > Dip Switches > Bonus Coins, and set it to one that says (+demo), and you can start on any level you want. If you get into trouble in while playing in "Demo Mode", press player 2 start, and it will take you to the next level. I realize most people don't care, but it's always been an obsession with me.....
  20. I don't have any manuals on my computer for the games of any emulators, so I don't know what to expect. I did download yours and set up the paths, etc. I will say that when I tried to download, it automatically started Adobe, and I saved it from Adobe into the proper file. (maybe zip the file so that doesn't happen?) When I go to a game that does not have the manual, Gameex does not show the "Manual" option. When I go to the game that does have the manual Gameex shows the "manual" option. It seems like all is well. When I move the cursor and highlight "manual", nothing happens. I assume that I should see the manual? Gameex does not crash, it just doesn't display the manual. I don't know how to help you, but if you want me to try something else, I will. How about Zipping up one of the manuals that does work for you, that way I can say "yes, one works, but the other does not"
  21. That was one long hour.... In the Setup wizard in "emulator setup" there are 5 options for different art paths for each emulator, 4 at the bottom of the first page, and 1 more if you click on next. To Access the different emulators you have, select them at the top of the page in the box "select emulator" It looks like Mame has 11 paths in "Basic Mame Settings" You can put whatever you like in each of the folders, and change the display name in Gameex as described above, but beyond that I believe it would take a Feature Request to add more art paths if that is not enough. I hope this helps.
  22. Seriously, this is annoying.... I updated to 9.12 today, and my PluginUltrastik.cfg has been replaced with the standard one. Now I have to re-do it to enable the custom maps that I have been using. I can't tell you what else is wrong, but is this necessary? If there is a good reason for it, is there a guide somewhere for updating? If there isn't a guide, I can feel another project coming on.... Will somebody give me the full story on this? Maybe a new topic should be started.
  23. This morning I tried shutting down my computer, and it wouldn't go so I did a hard reset, and everything is good. I sometimes just need to be reminded that it's just me again. The Docs look Great!
  24. That' sweet, I wonder if you'd be willing to trade it for some of my wife's shoes?
  25. What % of CPU time is Gameex using? CTRL-ALT-DEL to bring up the task manager, then performance. Also check to see if there are any other programs "hogging" CPU's. Sorry if this is basic, it's all I could think of.... DOH! - Its in the title 100%! I'm sorry, but I am the "basic answer man", So I can't help.
