  1. No problem, I really need to play the games more...Once again, it's a great plugin, and if Tom did have to remove it from Gameex, I would stop updating, and keep your plugin. Of course I prefer the latest (greatest) version of Gameex!
  2. I wish I'd thought of that!
  3. Oqqalz, As far as I can tell.... It works Great! I jumped in and out of 4way ,2wayh, 8way, analog, and even threw in tempest and arkanoid just to see what would happen in the Mame Tab menu. I checked to make sure the Mame tab menu worked on each game, and did the same for the GameEx menu. I probably jumped in and out of each game 3 times just to be sure. List of games I tried: Pole position - analog Ms. Pac Man - 4way (custom map for my wife) Star wars - analog Galaga - 2wayh Donkey Kong - 4way Lode runner - 8way Joust - 2wayh Q*bert - 4wayd Tapper - 4way Tempest (probably not necessary) If you have others you want me to try, let me know.... Great Job! I will keep playing testing, and let you know if anything changes...
  4. HK, Well, with your help, and Patience, I got everything straightened out. I deleted everything in the default.cfg that had to do with my spinner, and trackball, and the CP's display correctly, and the controls still work! Thanks again!
  5. Config HQ http://www.hfc-essentials.net/gameex/ If you can't find them there, I think I have them... BTW: I live in Adrian, so far you are my closest neighbor!

I'm not even close to being qualified to answer this, but I did stay at a holiday inn express last night... Then only thing that I see as odd is in the two lines I have in bold above... The first has qoute's around the entire command, while the second one does not. I don't know if it makes a difference or not, it's just that I'm a pattern guy, and I don't see the pattern...
  7. LB11, This time I'm not joking.... Alot of these directx errors have been fixed by either changing themes (try a default one), or making sure you have directx 9.0c, (directx 10 seems to cause problems) I'm just talking here... I wonder if VMC is loading a different version of Directx (or something), so when it is loaded first, Gameex sees it already runnuing, and doesn't load it's own version that it runs as stand alone? (that could be smart , or stupid ) Or do you have Gameex set to change resolution? I'm thinking if you don't, then maybe when VMC is running Gameex gets a different resoulution than when started by itself, causing your theme to break.
  8. Come on Brian ban him! Do it! Do it! LMAO (maybe then I won't have to build a three-sided cocktail cabinet) DJ - As far I can tell, it's still a free forum....Look what I get away with! I like this idea, sometimes I wonder if I'm pushing things to far so far as humor goes, I know there is at least one person out there who is wondering why they have to read my crap, when all they want is an answer. I thought a couple of days ago about starting a thread just to B.S. in, but my monologues aren't that funny. I'm still waiting to hear back from mightypeniz about the motorcycle thing, I thought that was a good one. I'm not sure he agrees... At any rate, a chance to mess with people (or maybe even help now and again) in real time? Who could pass that up?
  9. Good to see you again! (I've missed you posting here)
  10. HK, I tried, but I'm not getting it. Would you upload the (modified) stuff I sent you? Thanks! Edit: Disregard, I figured out what you were saying.... I will test some more, and get back with you... Thanks!
  11. I had to work today, I'll definately have time tomorrow, but I have a question. Should I delete the existing Q*bert and Congo bongo entries in the .ini file? I would think I should.... I also have Vista on my laptop, if you can't get other volunteers, I will set gameex and mame on it, and test that as well. I understand the value of the plugin that you have written, and feel that without it my U360 would be useless. Hopefully others will understand that as well, and step up.... I would hate to see the plugin go to the wayside
  12. That was my first guess, then I found that website, and I had to do it! Hmmm... I wonder if it's this sort of thing that makes people mess with me? BTW: If you are going to play games while riding, I recommend one of these: http://www.webbikeworld.com/heads-up-display/
  13. Would it be safe to assume my connection is to slow? Also, I can't play anymore tonight, if I don't pay attention to my wife every once in awhile, the guy across the street will...It's 8:00pm here. But if I can help in the future, I will.

let's recap... 11:10 I Bump the topic 11:12 You have a coughing fit 11:18 I completed installing FFDshow (I already had it in my downloads file), and I'm back in business! Why do you torture me all day like this?

Ok, I did a little more checking...I do have video preview enabled for my emulators, I thought maybe you meant previews for videos, and I don't have videos enabled..does that make sense? I also checked a couple of my .avi's, and they play in media player. My paths look right, they were working before, Obviously I did something, but what? I was going to blame it on the latest update, but I already gave it a clean bill of health!
  16. Just for giggles, try and see if the daphne loader will build a framefile for you as I described in the other thread....Maybe it won't work, but if I remember right, Bkenobi said "That works if your video data is a single file, but if you have multiple files, you will have to go a different route, right?" So find out for us, and Let us know if it works.
  17. It looks like he has a bunch of separate .mv2 files, instead of one large one, in which case the framefile has to give the starting frame # along with the name of the appropriate .m2v file IE: .\ 000001 Dl2-1.m2v 000700 DL2-2.m2v And so on, so you would have to know what the starting frame # is for every individual file....

MF...WTF....SOB....Mame is doing it too! Does that help?

No, those are .png My .avi are in C:\MameUI32\video snap (with a space, that doesn't matter does it?)
  20. To be honest, I don't know...all of mine are single files. It would sure be handy(er) if it worked on multiple files as well.

Maybe....What's an AVI Preview? I was dinking around yesterday, trying to get the artwork for the "N" emulators that I setup. When I got done, I "verified paths" in the setup wizard, and found some paths that were wrong since I re-installed Mame. While doing that, I do remember seeing something about AVI previews, and I may have even change something, but know I can't find that option. Where is it? What does it do? What should my settings be? I do have the Emu videos collection, and they do work in mame... But in Raine, (after I was having problems) I set the the snap/video path to my snap.png folder, and it didn't help. Heres my CFG just to be safe: [Emulator_3] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Raine TITLETEXT=Raine StartPageLogo=Raine ROMFilter=*.zip RomPath=G:\Raine roms SnapPath=C:\MameUI32\snap TitlePath=C:\MameUI32\titles BoxPath= CartPath= ManualPath= ControlPanelPath= InstructionsPath= WorkingPath=C:\Emulators\raine MapKeys=False WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=False Debug=False MAPFile=C:\Program Files\GameEx\Map Files\[Arcade] Raine AlsoLaunch= Command=raine32.exe -nogui -game [ROM] OLDatZip= LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= configFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close) ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False DATABASE=[Arcade] Raine GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=False CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= [GENERAL] If you hurry, you can get this one before lunch!
  22. If you use Daphne loader, select a game, then configure. Then click on MPEG locator. Browse to your MPEG, and insert the frame offset (in the case of DL, 151) then click on "generate framefile"
  23. Damnit Brian, That's where I was going.... Maybe run the task manager, and see what resources are left....CPU, Memory.
  24. I hope I was answering the second question... But I may not have...
  25. I couldn't help myself, So I ran it through Beyond Compare again... Everything Looks Good! (This doesn't mean I won't continue to blame you for things that I've screwed up myself) I really like the "last played" option...SWEET! Of course, if it (and "most played) would show a snap for the #1 game in the list, it would be perfect! Thanks Tom! Edit: Yes, I'm happy!
