No wonder I don't get British Humour! EDIT: HK (or somebody) Removed his post that was in between my two!

How can you tell what's wrong? I didn't know it, but that picture sucks! My working directory is C:\Emulators\freedo_1_9_wip The roms (iso's) are in G:\3DO I'm not putting that / in there, I don't know where it's coming from... enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Panasonic 3DO (FreeDo) TITLETEXT=Panasonic 3DO StartPageLogo=3DO ROMFilter=*.iso RomPath=G:\3DO SnapPath= TitlePath= BoxPath= CartPath= ManualPath= ControlPanelPath= InstructionsPath= WorkingPath=C:\Emulators\freedo_1_9_wip MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=True RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=False Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch= Command=closemul.exe FreeDo.exe file="[romfile]" OLDatZip= LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= configFile= ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False DATABASE= GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=False CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= The command was "[rompath]/[romfile]" but I changed it to the above, because I thought it would get rid of the path. I did this before, the way you see it above, is the way it is...I also tried it without quotes.

I am setting up FreeDO, using Ex0's example here: http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?sh...pic=3&st=40 Look at my screen shot. Top of the pic: The command line shows G:\3DO\gamename, Middle of pic: which is causing the game not to load, Bottom of pic: my commandline from my config, which I don't believe should be throwing in the path... What's up?

Still working on that whole "British Humour" thing Tom.... I was just working on my cab, and started jotting down things that I had been noticing. I wasn't really sure where I was heading. As always I want you to know that my intentions are honorable! It's always good to hear from The Man!

And once you have the correct catver.ini file, you will have to "update list" Actually, you have to "update list" everytime you make a change in what/how you want your mame games displayed, so maybe you haven't done this?

5. I also have a problem when you preview a post, then go back, it scews up stuff in code boxes (and quotes) I knew I should have waited before posting earlier..... @Bkenobi @fRequEnCy

Ok. Brian helped me get PJ64 working.... the command line should be: project64.exe [rompath]/[romfile] Apparently some version of PJ64 require Quotes, and some don't.... Thanks for your help Brian!

These are things that don't make sense to me, maybe I just need further clarification, or if some of theses are valid, I'll move them to feature request's, or the thread where people can vote on them. Gameex comes with maps in the map file, but defaults to looking for them in the config file. A drop down list like the database one would be nice. When you browse for a map, it includes the .map extension, and ends up looking for System.map.map At the top of a page of an emulator where it shows "Last Played" it shows the rom name instead of the name that is displayed in the list. A forum question, Does anybody besides me find it annoying that I can cut/paste everywhere, except within the window I'm typing in? I started this yesterday, and was waiting to see if anything else came up but nothing has....I must be in a better mood!

I am running XP pro SP2. Nebula 2.25b I have uploaded my Nebula.ini, and Config folder (contains game configs) these go in your Nebula folder The file called GX-Nebula, is my exported Nebula config I included my Nebula.png if you want to use it. There is a Nebula guide at Easyemu: http://www.mameworld.net/easyemu/nebulaguide.htm And for sure I will be willing to help all I can, Lord knows I owe you guys one ot two! I looked at the guide, I didn't realize before that there was extra work to getting the NEO GEO cd games going, so I haven't worked with that yet. I always just "borrow" roms from my Mame set to build a set for these oddball emulators into their own folder. I would try to not use my game configs, I'm sure the mappings won't work for you. I included them in case there are other game by game settings, I can't remember for sure....If there are then you could use them, and then do your own mappings. When you first start Nebula, don't choose a game...click on controls to set up your menu (interface) keys. Then choose a game, and it will change to player controls. There is a save as default button at the bottom. (That is what Winterblasts plugin is missing...And yes, I know I just changed the subject to Zinc ) Looking forward to helping if I can.... This is the same error that I'm getting on pj64. The sad thing is I (with help from Brian) had it working before. So if you guys would hurry up and help Spuds get this working, then I'm sure mine will work too!

I could try this: If it wasn't for this:

Here's the one I was thinking of, this is the site I used to decide which emulators to get... There's quite a discrepancy between the two... http://nonmame.retrogames.com/
-
I found this: http://unmamed.mame.net/ If this is the site I was thinking of, then it has changed alot...They are showing 16 games in nebula that mame doesn't have, and none for Raine. Mame has added alot of games in the past months... Look at the bottom of the page for emulators.
-
I was looking for a site (unmamed, nonmamed) that had a list of emulators that played the same games as mame, but better. The guy had a list of different emulators, and the games that he had tested (I guess) that ran better in those emulators than they did in mame. Now I can't find it.....ring any bells? I took another look at Nebula, it doesn't look hard to set up. You have to have a game selected to configure controls, you might have missed that, otherwise it doesn't look too bad. I would be happy to upload my nebula.ini, and export my gx config if you want it.
-
Nah, it's no biggie, I just thought it was a done deal, and was going to give it a "spin"! If you ever do decide to work on it for your own purposes though, Please let us know!
-
Unless of course you started setting up emulators today, then everytime you do a search, it leads to a dead end, then it can be annoying... In all honesty, (and I know alot of people feel this way), I wish he was still here. That way, I could go ahead and use the "piss in my coffee once for free" card he sent me! (it's basically useless now ) That's it, I'm done.
-
Ooohhh, now I can only have what I need, and not just things that might be cool?
-
A list of things I need help tweaking (if possible) - Brian this is in addition to the other list I gave you. I looked but couldn't find a way to do the following: Raine 32 1.0.3 when it starts, it shows some stuff about CPU reset. Can it be turned off? Znes 1.43 Starting a game shows rom info. Can it be turned off? Nebula 2.25b Shows rom info on start up. Can it be turned off? Maybe there's a way to show an alternate screen for a few seconds to hide everthing until ready to play?

The games that zinc runs, run better than in mame....But it's a pain!
-
I'm glad you are laughing....I am always afraid somebody's going to take me the wrong way!
-
Brian - relax...I don't want anything, seriously! Frequency asked what else his wrapper should do, and I took a shot at it. Then that turned into bitching, and so on, and so forth.... I might want some help in the future though if I can't figure out what I've screwed up now... Hey, you know what? I did want something...I wanted to know if there was a way to setup Jaguar (PT), and I was also trying to setup FreeDo, but the only setup I could find used closemul.zip, and it doesn't seem to exist. Also, (since you asked) It would seem that I've farked my pj64 (getting file not found errors, but my paths look right, and it runs standalone) ,and For whatever reason, Vpinball won't run(well it runs, but it doesn't show on top, after I shut down Hide OS, it's there)...After that, if you could take a look at my ports, and while your at it help me drink this case of beer while shooting some pool, then I would be happy. I'm just frustrated today is all...it seems like it's always 2 steps forward, 1 step back. But that's still progress. Right?

I can't wait to see what you come up with. If you need someone to bitch about how your doing things, let me know!
