Tempest

I discovered this last night while setting up some artwork. When I Choose "Emulated Games", then "Raine" in Gameex, when the menu switches over to the Raine games list, screen goes black, and I can hear Arkanoid in the background. Please note that I did not choose a game! Gameex shows minmized at the bottom of the screen, and the button says "GameEx|Raine|arknoid2|0/60|" Arkanoid is not the first game in the list, but is at the top of the list because I have "show last game" set to true. When I start the task manager, Gameex is running, but not Raine, which indicates to me that Arkanoid isn't really running, and that the sound I here is from the video. Ok, I figured out a little more, so all of that typing above was probably un-necessary... My snap path is: C:\MameUI32\snap If I Eliminate the snap path, this doesn't happen. My snaps are unzipped, in .png format. What's up? Brian if you can answer this in 60 seconds or less, I'll send you a dollar....ready? GO!

I used stardock bootskin, but I haven't used instant sheller yet, so I don't know if that anwers your question, or not....

Space in the path I had to hurry to see if I could beat you brian.. Edit: Woo Hoo! I did it! (of course, that doesn't mean I'm right!) LMAO I made my own day....

Are you looking for other windows versions as well, or just vista? I'm running XP pro.

I'm pretty sure that CPWizard isn't causing this...Try shutting CPWizard off (so the icon doesn't show in the tool tray), and let us know if the problem still exists.

I'm guessing it's your framefile.... I also think it's odd that you don't have a path to your daphne.exe. Using Brian's example above... c:\emulators\daphne\Daphne.exe... yours just says "daphne.exe"... Please check my signature for forther information.

Just out of curiousity, are you using Ultrastick 360's? I went through your posts, and you made a post in the PluginUltraStick thread, so I'm thinking you are... How do you have them hooked up? Input, output, USB ? I'm interested in seeing if somebody has them hooked up in the USB/output combination, and how it's working for them....

I wasn't really thinking of us, I thought it would be nice if everything was organized for the new user. But I have this fantasy that if it was, people would try to read more, I don't know why, I haven't read any of this stuff yet! Bottom line is I don't want to spend alot of time on it if you think it would be under utilized. It's been bugging me for awhile (even before I started giving crappy advice), that alot of the stuff in the forums is outdated. Back in January I considered offering to work on it, but I really feel that I don't have the qualifications, because the stuff that is outdated needs to be deleted to avoid confusion, and I wouldn't know the difference (being confused all the time as I am). Anyhow, that's my take on it....

I'm pretty sure that when you click on "view new posts" it includes all of the Spesoft forums. I saw one not to long ago where someone was trying to figure out Tom's backup software, and I almost replied that he should post in the backup forum, until I realized that he had. I'm pretty short-sighted though, and it should definately be thought out befor it was done....

I believe there were problems with mame.124, and they have a mame.124a now. I haven't verified this.

This has been bugging me for awhile....I would volunteer to do this if you think I can handle it. I would think it would be broken down at the minimum as: Gameex Emulators Zinc daphne etc. 3. Off topic 4. etc.

Just as a rule, triple posting is generally frowned upon....

Just because you can't open them in media player, doesn't mean they won't work in Daphne. Cue sounds off balls-busting. (I'm sorry, I couldn't resist!)

use project64 for the n64 games Ya I hear you I just re-orginized my stuff. I was well worth it.. Much easier to follow. Brian, I don't know what came over me last night...I must have been posessed, because I got Nestopia, Zsnes, and Project 64 all working in Gameex! Thanks for your help!

Just to clarify about my U360.... See how the + isn't over the . ? It causes issues...I don't know why there isn't a way to calibrate these... Insted of just bitching here, I think I'll go to the Ultimarc forums

I found this to suppress window popup errors. I don't know if it would block the "keep resolution" error or not.... http://www.pctools.com/guides/registry/detail/816/ I'll keep looking for awhile Edit: on the other hand, I don't think this will help, Because I believe you have to click on "yes", or it will revert...I did see something on how to change resolution using the registry, would that make more sense?
