  6. Thanks Brian I've been wanting to know what MAME Plus offers too but couldn't get the features section of the site to work either Am I right in saying it also has built in 3d acceleration support for the the PSX arcade games... something similar to Zinc? Stu

Managed to get it to carry on were it left off, had to baby sit it through the last 500 as it kept stopping but it's easy to start it again, you just need to find the page it stopped on and you'se that address So here's the Playstation MDB: _Console__Sony_Playstation.zip Stu
  9. Are you using the either of the last 2 U builds of 116? there are problems with the disclaimer now that MAME supports mulitple keyboards Stu

Just checked how the playstation mdb was getting on there and the bloody thing has stopped at record 775 which is the last entry on the bottom of page 31 on Mobygames... is there anyway of me telling it to start where it left of? Stu

    I've sorted the date problem by adding $array[$Pos + 1] = StringReplace ( $array[$Pos + 1] , "." , "/" ) to the date section so In Work: Playstation Stu

I tried running the Playstion section there but it's erroring with the date... it's trying to paste day.month.year but access is expecting day/month/year I then tried the dreamcast section as well just to see if it would work as you've already done it but it's not working for me either it's having the same problem with the date Is there something in Access I can change to let it autoformat the date and replace . with / or is there a filter missing in the AutoIt script Stu

Cool I've been wanting some info for my Dreamcast roms Whats the easiest way to make these mdbs? Surly you haven't sat and added all these manually in Access? I've been wanting to make a Playstation mdb Stu
  14. very nice indeed Stu
  15. I just checked the product dimensions: 44 x 173 x 268 mm Just a bit bigger than 2 hard drives side by side, so your right Tom it's 2x 500gb Ah well looks like a 750gb it is then Stu
  16. The picture doesn't look big enough for it to be 2x 500gb... I was going to go with a 750GB drive until I seen this one on amazon for 40 more than the 750 I'd found maybe it's just a generic picture though that they use for all their lacie drives... it does seem rather cheap compared to the standard price of a 1tb single drive... I think I'll email them and ask them what size it is Stu
  17. I'm on the hunt for a 1TB drive the best I've found is £170 from Amazon has anyone seen anything better? I'm in the UK so if I import anything I'll be charged a further 17.5% I'd rather just a plain old bare drive either sata or ide but any I have found are more expensive than this 1 in a case, so hopefully I'll be able to strip the case off this one and just use the bare drive Stu
  18. I've been wondering how to do this myself, I've set GameEx to close explorer and a few other processes before it starts and the same happens to me, when I start a game you see the GameEx window minimized at the bottom left of the screen very briefly before the game kicks in Stu
  19. This is looking really nice indeed Not sure if I'm any use to you but if there's anything I can do let me know, I know my way around AHK if thats what you mean by Mame control mapping but if it's anything to do with the internal workings of mame then I wouldn't know much Stu
  20. cool I must give it a go tomorrow evening Stu
  21. For my LCD Top Gun I have: # INPUT DEVICE OPTIONS mouse 0 joystick 1 # AUTOMATIC DEVICE SELECTION OPTIONS lightgun_device keyboard it all works fine though I need to run the games at 640 by 480 with hardware stretch on my arcade monitor, if I run them at their proper resolutions and no hardware stretch I can only move the cursor in the top left quarter of the screen Stu
  22. when I first installed my arcadevga my desktop colour depth set itself to 16 bit and GameEx would crash after the loading screen, changing back to 32 bit sorted it out, just checked there now though and it doesn't do it anymore but it might be worth checking Stu
  23. Now that would be very nice indeed but a complete nightmare to maitain, I would imagine Stu
  24. You've got it right with the script, it''s just a::b or whatever... What you need to do is you'se the lauch before and after options in the advanced config Compile the ahk to an exe and then set it to run before the emulator and then use process.exe (you can get it at the bottom of this site http://www.beyondlogic.org/solutions/proce...rocessutil.htm) to kill the exe after the emulator exits which will return you back to standard controls Stu
  25. Possibly but I was using the "run" command which does the same thing as "cmd /c" I feel happier using AHK though as flashing is always dangerous as there is always that slight chance of messing the whole thing up if the flash doesn't succeed but each to his own Stu
