  1. You need to set up the keys to exit out of CPWizard correctly for your setup. If you want to use the 'P' key to exit CPWizard, change the exit key to 'P'. You can also have more than one button mapped to a command if you separate the command with a pipe "|" or use multiple keys by using an ampersand "&".
  2. In the Setup Wizard, if you go to the emulator enable/disable menu there's an 'A' button. If you press that button, it will alphabetize everything for you.
  3. GASP!!! Mario on a non-Nintendo platform?! That's like having Sonic on a Nintendo machine...oh right
  4. So has anyone here put anything together for NES, SNES, N64, SMS, Genesis, etc that they could share? I guess if it's something that takes hours to do, I'll probably do a google search before I delve into another "waste of time" as my wife likes to call my hobbies
  5. I did hover over the images, but nothing seemed to pop up for me. I saw that when you went to the image it said what it was, though. I was just thinking that if I were perusing the gallery and saw something for the first time then it would be cool to be able to see the name prior to clicking on it. My connection is fast, but other people might have to wait a minute since these are really nice hi-res images! Anyway, I'm impressed! I hope my suggestion didn't come across as anything other than that. I would offer up a picture of my TI-99/4A, but I'm sure that you don't already have one! I do have a few games I could take photos of though (Alpiner, Hunt the Wumpus, Parsec, Football, Magic Numbers (I think), maybe a couple more). I'm sure the boxes are long gone though...
  6. I thought it was they player not working, but then when I tried to access the swf directly, I got an Access Denied message. Apparently my company doesn't want me to look at content from http://www.paltalk.com. Oh well...
  7. From the looks of it, the ones responding here are the ones who need help. I wonder where Tempest went?
  8. Just a suggestion for your site (too lazy right now to create a forum account ATM). I know you know what each image is and Tempest will lie and say he does too . But, for the rest of us who don't know the difference between an MTX and a Channel F from the image, perhaps you could add either a title for each image or text that pops up on hover that says what system it is. Looks like a great start though!
  9. No worky
  10. So there isn't a prebuilt set of controls data for consoles yet, or it already exists and is included with the download (I'm at work now and can't check)? I'm assuming the worst and that I'd have to come up with a database for each console that contains thousands of entries...

    History.dat

Ahhh, I thought you meant use "gameex.info" as the search criteria in addition to "site:www.gameex.info". Doing that is useless since "gameex.info" is on every page of the forum...
  12. Sometimes he even says he's going to leave.... but then he takes it back. He's such a tease
  13. Awe, Tempest was just trying to build up his post count so people would think he's smart or something.
  14. This is a good idea if it's not already implemented.
  15. You can do that, but it may clutter up the CP in an undesirable way. I personally have my pause and exit buttons hard wired this way, and it works fine, but keep in mind that some emulators won't think too kindly of it.
  16. I haven't gotten around to trying this CPWizard with my consoles yet, so I'm not sure if this is obvious or not. To get CPWizard to work for MAME, you need the controls.dat database. For console games, were do I get this data or does it just show the button letters for all games?
  17. I just redid my setup for most of my emulators a couple weeks back. When I built my CP, I wasn't concerned with emus as much as I am now, but I've come to 2 conclusions. 1) An arcade CP does not accurately reproduce the feel of the console experience correctly 2) 7 buttons is enough for older emus but it's not enough for anything past the N64 really. As a result, I've just decided I'm going to break down and buy 2 Logitec wireless game pads to use for consoles. These will have enough buttons to play pretty much any console short of the Jaguar

    History.dat

That doesn't seem to help... Google search will give all pages since the site is "www.gameex.info" and a forum search doesn't pop anything useful (that I can see anyway).
  19. If you want to try the links, here's the thread where I went into detail on how to do it. http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=5908

    New Setup

Did you get your question answered? There's a couple users that post regularly that have vertical setups, so perhaps they can help.
  21. You can't really answer the question unless you say what the difference is though. Each set has it's own goal and thus results in a different set of roms. Goodtool sets are intended to be the be-all end-all set. They try to have every single game and every version in the set. So as a result you will end up with 20 versions of super mario (USA, JAP, EUR, USA Hacked version 1, JAP Alternate ending version 1, .......). The set will be structured so that each game has all versions of the roms zipped together. GameEx can handle this and will list each one for you when you select that game (if you are a registered user). NoIntro sets are designed to be a no-bull set. They include only the "best" official release of each game. I think they still include the different regions in the set so you will have USA, JAP, EUR, WORLD, etc, but it will not include the hack were Mario looks like Barney . TOSEC is similar to NoIntro AFAIK, except they include other systems that used optical media as well. For newer consoles (Dreamcast, PSX, etc), TOSEC is the only way you are going to find all roms together. I don't think the other sets do these much larger collections, so TOSEC is the only game in town. But, like Flash said, you won't be able to find all consoles released from all 3. As a result, you will end up with a mixed and matched collection either way. Since I'm not familiar with TOSEC, I can't comment on where it would fall in my priorities accurately. As a result, my order of preference would be: 1) NoIntro 2) GoodTools 3) TOSEC
  22. Try another theme
  23. That's the error. It's saying you are using a resolution that's not supported by GameEx.
  24. What theme are you using? Only V3 and V4 themes can have more than one image displayed at the same time.
  25. Can you explain in more detail?
