  1. lol. ah, educated on a reference. it was the "meat" and the "popsicle" that made me hungry. Actually, no... I'm always hungry.
  2. Oh, and considering myself a man of my word, Tthurman - if yer happy - let me have an address and I'll send out the carrier pigeon.
  3. Oooopps! Know thyself, a wise man once said (was it Benny Hill??). My prematurely cantankerous old git pops out occationally! Glad of this + part of my original frustration - if folks have a go they'd realize they enjoy it! Rediscovering those dev logos from their youths (Software Projects, Ocean, Thalamus being amongst my favorites). Also, real satisfaction in trawling the net for advert/boxart scans of obscure 1-dev-wonders and producing a viable logo from it - thus preserving it for prosperity (well, at least until dropbox/GameEx drops its servers). Thanks chaps, and peanuts all round.
  4. Huh? Wha? That makes me hungry.
  5. DONE! Full list covered. 86% of images sourced (1,530) - others pretty near impossible to find (y'all welcome to look for them!) Many thanks to tthurman for all his hard work. Kudos. As ever - you can see them all here: https://sites.google.com/site/alienarcade74/logos Until the next list update...
  6. Terrible time to make a suggestion, I know!!!! However, having just found "OK Google, tell me how to get off me fat a**e and get to the gym" speechy thingy on android, started the mind cogs crunching again.... How about speech recognition in gameex? Specifically what I'm thinking about is the Search facility - so rather than type out stuff, you just say it. There's even some open source stuff available: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_speech_recognition_software#Open_source_acoustic_models_and_speech_corpus I have absolutely no idea how hard or easy this would be to integrate, so if the former, please invite me to eat my own hat... If the latter, I'll supply the beer.
  7. Just a question - how come you aren't putting game-ex on your ssd drive? Wouldn't that make GE super-nippy?

    PCSX2 Peeps

Been putting off the PS2 setup since had the woes with PCSX2 update and subsequent PCSX2Lunch woes. Sadly - looks like the dev for this has disappeared. I'll be re-checking Bonus, as I know that's still being dev'd. Just hoping: a) Can accommodate emu updates without having to re-do all the settings for each game You can batch process .exe production (think had probs with this before - but could be my dicky memory). Ta for info, chaps.

    PCSX2 Peeps

Cheers uber, that may be good news. However, I havent found a way the interface Bonus with gameex as you cant 'pass' games via command line. How does your setup work?
  10. I'd defo go for another drive. Think my "Assets" (emu movies and other game related media) is presently running at about 400G.... and that's without adding all the gamecube stuff... depends on how much of a complete set or selective choices chap you are.... Also, best to keep the system/gameex drive with a bit of space free? Over time, you may need that 20G for other emulators etc... I keep all my main apps (emulators/frontends etc) on my main/system drive. Yeah.. I know I should partition it really... I'll set that up after I setup backups! :/
  11. If I recall - there is a fair collection. Do check the naming conventions of your files (the game ones), though. Easiest way I've found to do this is use FileZilla + connect to the EmuMovies FTP - you can then browse each cover name easily + check against your file formats.
  12. I haven't been on in a while, so only just learned of this today. My sincere condolences, Aaron and my thoughts go out to you. What is clear from your temperament and posts is that your mother gifted you with a fine respect for both words and people. It also looks like she had a keen attunement towards creation and imagination; again, qualities evident and apparent in her son. Look after and be kind to yourself over the next few weeks, she will be wishing for that. Condolences to yourself too, Riffman. I'm wondering whether your mum had a good sense of humour and an "onwards and upwards" approach? Your resolve is admirable, and I'm sure she's very proud of that. Sure she was with you at the wedding, too..
  13. No worries. Something is indeed better than nothing and theres nothing to stop anyone adding an improved image if they find one...
  14. Amazing work tthurman and thanks for keeping the ship sailing in my absence..... Sounding like this is complete! Will tidy all this up and eventually upload onto the ftp. Bit of work to do around cropping images etc, but truly herculean task, tthurman. Many thanks.
  15. Makes sense to me, that, Draco.
  16. Details are sketchy, felix, but think this may have been reworked for evo... might be worth waiting for evo release. Only a guess on my part, but some control layout stuff on evo vid...
  17. Oh yeah... forgot about that.
  18. It was. And a C64 game. ZTT... 808 state, art of noise. Start of the electronic dance scene.....maybe.

  20. Im torn between ls 32 and ls 40. Why is it always so complicated... round gate vs octo... stiff springs vs loose... etc etc...
  21. Was only messin, null. Hope your stuff works out, fella....
  22. Cheers Flash. If, when you remove devs from the list and add them back in later on, you are re-adding with the same name, then yeah, just a list of the 'added' devs would be swell. However, that html method is quite difficult to grab (copy>paste-wise). If you've any means by which just to produce a txt list, that'd be more helpful. Your original method also works fine, as can just use the spreadsheet to pull out additions and removals..... ta very muchly..
  23. Who's that? Never heard of him... is he a lurker?
  24. Another piece of fantastic work, Adultery. Your hard work's appreciated.
