  1. Dunno - feels overall that it doesn't really matter.... we've got one logo in the folder named that, so all should be peachy? Thanks for checking, Flash.
  2. Wow - yer straight on the update list, todd - amazing! I'm presently pulling 14 hour days trying to get things wrapped up at work before leave, so not able to get stuck in properly atm. However - did look at the above - very strange!! New devs pulled automatically from textual compare of two lists. My feeling is may be something subtle like different ascii code fot the tilde (?) or something. I think copy+paste the 'new' text for the dev and copy existing logo in folder, then paste the text from 'new' dev (if that makes sense) May look the same but be different in some subtle way - I dunno..... cheers
  3. IN prep for "the day when I can" tthurman!
  4. Swanky. I love attention to detail....
  5. No worries flash, and it really is no hassle to work from the list as you posted it. On disappearing devs, if they return, would they keep exactly the same name? This would be the most helpful, as the alternative is manual searching and re-matching.
  6. If I can pull my head out my......cab, by then! Just in the middle of ordering some Seimitzu joysticks - I'm getting fussy now + wanting those schmups responsive! Will have to check back in with Steam then.
  7. **** UPDATE : Logos Project and GameEx Database updates working in perfect Harmony!!! **** Tthurman - close your eyes and ears..... OK - so Flash and others are regularly updating the Developer/Publisher list for the GameEx database. He's also releasing periodic updates to feed into the Developer Logos project. The Spreadsheet now has a tab called "List Updates" that details any lost Developers through pruning and any newly added ones: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dzg8F5aIfDva_hT6xE7RMddU-Jczo520tlgMFQYXJWk/edit#gid=376327459 So folks - we've lost: But we've gained: Given the need to keep track of additions, also ammended the main sheet a bit to include date Dev added to main List. Also, newer Devs are different color to help distinguish: I'm going to keep Any Devs that we've sourced images/done searches for in the main list (even if they've been removed from the GE Database). No point in throwing stuff away. Cheers for everyone's ongoing help. **** Now more than ever STILL needing some community volunteers for this - so cummon - if you aint up to your neck in Evo dev - why not help out a little??? ****
  8. heh. Too late - I couldn't resist. Have a new sheet on the spreadsheet that shows Removed devs and added ones. All automated so should work for future updates too. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dzg8F5aIfDva_hT6xE7RMddU-Jczo520tlgMFQYXJWk/edit#gid=376327459 Can't believe you removed Bubble Bus!!!! That was my favorite logo!! On another note. I've noticed some devs have characters in that when converted to a filename produced illegal characters. For Example: Chaos89.com Or anything with "/" in - "Lucasarts/LucasFilm" for e.g. When saved as "Lucasarts/LucasFilm.png" - it 'breaks' the file's working (sorry, untechnical, I know) - basically illegal characters for filenames? I'm wondering whether it is possible to do a different naming convention for these, due to the possibility for future applications to use dev names and link them to file/imagenames? Thanks for the continued involvement, Flash. Will add new to spreadsheet in a bit....
  9. Cheers Flash - shall pursue. I like that idea Draco. Could keep an audit trail then of changes - also would hide the column as it's quite unwieldy as it is! Of course - could be shown for admin purposes. Amazing, tthurman. I just can't keep up with your contribution rates!! Star.
  10. Will have a look at this next week. Silly-busy week at work this week. P.S. - Doing as a separate list may be difficult and messy - I just need to find a way to compare the two lists; extract the 'difference' between the two + then add these to the current. I'm sure there must be someway to do this....
  11. Likes the way you get emailed the latest posts on topics you're following. Especially when a topic gets pulled for essentially slagging off the community in which it is posted! :)

  12. If you're making a Tardis - couldn't you make it inside itself? You'd have all the space you needed then. (above based on 32 year old memories of Doctor Who).
  13. Great work, Todd. Likewise, I feel for these small developers who do all the work and the best they get is a small line of Arial on the boxart/screens.
  14. Kudos. Work.
  15. has it finished?
  16. Thirded (I would say that wouldnt I?). Evos pending release caused me to revisit this. My understanding is that theres gonna be potential for hyperspin style pages at all levels from systems to individual games. That's a lot of games! Feeling is evo gonna propogate a flurry of new projects and ideas. Now is the time more than ever to have a centralised area for community collaboration signups and announcements.
  17. Nicely presented guide, Dazzle. Now... post your schmup customs...
  18. Quick Update: More amazing work by Tthurman!! 358 left!!! Turning into a real hunt + challenge tracing down those illusive logos. Satisfying when you find one on boxart, screenshot or ads + then snaffle it + contribute to GamesEx, making it the most comprehensive logosource online!! Any of you guys who just browse this forum + fancy helping out - drop me a line - it's as simple as searching and adding images to a folder!!
  19. Kudos to you, Censored... this is awesome! A pincab is on my list, although realistically a few years down the line. Hopefully by that time, all the 3D stuff will have been licked. Few months ago, I saw a vid where some fella had to (IR?) things on his head, and as he moved his head the display playfield moved accordingly - gave an amazing 3d effect - wish I could find this link again to keep track of its development! Are they using 3D TVs yet in pin emulation? Loved the touch of speakers under the playfield for localised sound production. Inspirational.
  20. That sucks. Work getting in the way here of pokalogo...
  21. If space isn't a factor, consider the zlaman aero flower: http://www.quietpc.com/cnps9900-max-blue Got an i7 920 rated at 2.67GHz OC'd at 3.98GHz - stable and as cool as a rock. Would recommend it.
  22. If I remember - didn't he feature an Apple 2 in his Dirk Gently (???) book?
  23. Cheers Flash. All makes sense and actually simplifies things for the logos project. Shall await the update list
  24. Thanks for the pin whoever did that. So Tthurman and I toiling away tonight - managed to crack through 20 odd logos. Wow.. this is getting a grind... Some real chasing down of logos having to happen now - finding ad scans and boxarts. Good news is - there's still some easy ones in there - we must have missed them first pass. As ever tthurman - yer a star and I hope your efforts are appreciated by those who will be using them eventually. (btw - I've just realised - what a silly time to start a project like this with Evo just around the corner - all the grafters and dedicates are going to be all hands on deck with that).
