God's speed and good luck. Have you tried switching it off and back on again?

Inch by inch... The product of labour: tbc... (tthurman's been a star, but seriously - any of you GameEx Users want to help out? )

Ah, forgot you were on a new rig, KRC. Damn.. integrated vs dedicated GPUs - bit beyond my paygrade, that one
-
You got a NVidia card, KRC? If so, go for the latest rvn (?) build. Nvidia updated their drivers a few months ago, which "broke" PCSX2 - screen jumps and stretches.... Latest build has Nvidia hack which stops this. Sadly, I also use PCSXLunch, which launches games with individual settings. However, make the update to newer versions of PCSX2 difficult (not necessarily impossible - just gonna take time to look at it properly). There is another launcher called PCSX2Bonus - dunno if this is easier to keep the version updated.... Did a guide to pcsxlunch/GE integration, here: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/13947-pcsx2-setup-with-individual-games-settings/?p=115401

Thank god I'm still building and tinkering rather than playing... that could seriously hit my balance

Whoa. Through the valiant efforts of thurman in a few days, we've got about 1/3 through the logos in under a week! This may happen in under 14 years (as originally feared!) Thanks, Thurman.

Gamepad or arcade controls? Both! Those table end are just asking to be converted. How about they fold down with the controls on the inside of the ends? Amazing for mame vert schmups!

The guy's on fire... Tthurman's fantastic efforts have also made me rethink things a bit... I'm going to concentrate on getting all source logos first... The upscaling to 600px is a project in itself, and I'm just needing small developer logos at the moment for a project to compliment Adultery's GameTagger tag. Therefore, will come back to upscaled quality versions at a later date. Of course - there's nothing stopping those of you with infinitely more graphics prowess than I getting stuck in...

Ohhh!!! So that's what's in the middle of a 'bunch' of celery! I never get that far, as I'm normally exhausted expending more calories than I'm consuming. Either that or the phone is far too close for pizza. Put yer pizza and beer on the thing you're playing - like it

Like it. Ashamedly I have to ask "what kind of vegetable is that?" Oh and what did you use it for?

Heh. I found it hard not to go off reading the stories of the early small or individual game developers....

Ah Prometheus... the tricky second album.... So, taking your advice into account.... I am gonna keep the top graphic.. dunno why - gut feeling. However, you were right Daz - blimey - he did stick out didn't he? So, another version, fully vectorized with a (hopefully) more blended xenomorph: A real struggle to truly blend him - especially as it's vector. However, I'm hoping to get away with the slightly 'cartooney' feel of the black outline, as people will be able to see the vectors at a middle distance. Your feedback, as ever, is truly valued. Damn, this bit is hard - especially with a Gig inkscape file on a 3 year old computer :/

**** WTG Draco and tthurman!! ******* More Source and Final Logos added! "A" Games Finished!!!!! Only 25 more letters to go. Who wants to take "S"? Last of the A's: Plan is to store final versions on dropbox whilst working through them. This means that logos will be visible to everyone via: https://sites.google.com/site/alienarcade74/logos The dropbox "final" folder can't be edited so they're secure there (with the below precautions). Of course, keeping a local backup copy of the dropbox "final" "for approval" and "source" folders on my local machine. Then will be periodically uploading 'off site' to the FTP server.

Nice one chaps. The no-logo Developer issue: Thinking about this, I think it might be best if we don't use a publisher logo in the place of a Developer where there is no logo. My feeling is it's best to preserve each to their roles, to keep the data straight (dunno how to explain that one). Unless the GameExDB developer is a sub-developer, or one carried by a larger developer/producer (and not a publisher) - seen a few about where bigger software houses have put their name to it. If they had an authoring role, this may be OK. Dunno - it's tricky innit. Maybe, in time, we can make custom logos for the 'no-logo'd' developers. Right. Back to it. I'm obsessed. Nearly finished "A".

Complicated business isn't it? From looking around, appears tgeres many levels to game development. The more obscure seem to be individuals or small companies, which are assisted by larger development houses and then published by other companies. A number of games have 3 or 4 company logos on. My guess is someones worked really harc to track down and honour the original developer in the databse work. May be a case of custom logos for the obcure. Ironic yhing is for individuals, there are often pictures of them on fansites etc... might be a case of having their boatrace with stylised text sensative to the era for their logos.

We could create another sheet called "Custom" where users could enter their own game names and follow the normal drill for these 'customs.' Would that do it? @ tthurman: Great hunting and thanks for the sources - do you mind if I pick these up and format them for the final versions? You're right - some of the devs are only for 1 game, 30 years ago - so may have no logo - we'll have to think about what we do about these. Maybe for these, just put a comment on the game name cell (right click, comment) so we can keep track of research done and then maybe create custom logos for un-logo'd devs. And also, yeah, the platform can be a good clue. However, not sure can get these into the sheet as devs can be for more than one platform and also not sure practically how to do this. I'm starting to leave 'research' in a comment against the game name - so others can see what's been tried. What I also do is use this link: http://gamesdbase.com/developers.aspx This db mirrors the one used to create this list - find your Dev and then it'll list the games/systems associated with it. Cheers for your contributions, tthurman.

**** UPDATE ***** Altered sheet so any entried approved and graded automatically go green - easier to see what's been done and what's not. Updated the webpage that shows the logos to include contributor stats. So think I managed to do about 20/30 today. It's quite easy when you get the hang of it. That's 141 down and 1,551 to go! We'll see how this goes, but it's definitely not a one man job.
