  1. 'andsome cab that, chap! Artwork - argh - know the feeling. Mine's been waiting over a year now - cab and hardware all done, but really struggling with the artwork bit. I design something, come back to it 3 months later and think "god that looks crap." I'd go Final Fantasy - maybe 8. I think illustration art looks better on cabs - such as the streetfighter character etc.. bet the FF8 characters would look spiffing. Hmmm... comic book Alien art... now there's an idea... And whoa - that's some incredibly meticulous wiring - kudos! You wouldn't believe the mess some fellas get into wiring:
  2. Thats a great idea thanks draco
  3. Nice one Artemis and just finished addressing all the bugs you've helpfully reported. All packed into new version 0f 0.6.5 (heh - I've really got no idea what i'm doing with release version and everyfin - but that looks like what people do - give them numbers and stuff!). Do let me know how you find it. I'm thinking that it might be quite confusing to use - an unfortunate drawback of being an amateur coder - get it doing something first then realise that the end-user side may feel a little cobbled together! I think once you get the hang of designing and importing rigs, the rest should be OK. It really is the rig bit that takes a bit of mastery. I'd say just play around with the demo rig to also get the hang of editing from CPWizard in addition to doing so from CPWizBiz. Careful when using the "View" button under rigs - don't edit or save from this as ends up in misaligned text. Good luck, chap and just holler if anything else needed. btw - what system specs you running? I'd be interested in any speed/compatibility issues for different setups.
  4. Thanks Artemis. There is a setting in the defaults where you can set CPWB to start minimised so it could be that - is it minimising during the setup process, or just when you boot CPWB after setup? Will take a look at the .net error - same issue as last time so will re-visit. Lastly - despite the above - is it running for you after the above or does it crash at some point? Could you do me a favor? Keep the zip of the install just to 'check from fresh.' Also, re-unzip this and replace attached file before running - wondering whether this may help. It's looking like it's got something to do with the 'use background' feature in the defaults settings - try changing this to false/true + selecting a background from your PC to see if that helps with these errors. Thanks for the feedback - really helpful in getting this into a useable state for others. CPWizBiz.ini
  5. Think I sussed it. Try the new release: https://cpwizbiz.codeplex.com/releases/view/614939 Let me know if any probs. Gonna split the large image assets file and the operational files at some point. But for the mean time - apologies for the large file size!
  6. Sorry about that... could you post your CPWizBiz.log from CPWizBiz>Logs? Got a good idea what it is, but need to know exactly where happening....
  7. +2 - going loopy my end too.
  8. Reviewed page briefly. Recently been setting up Dolphin for per-game settings. The advice around right-click game is OK for a lot of settings, but doesn't save GPU/Controller setups -per-game. You can use this batch script: ..or alternatively wait a few more days until I (bleeding hopefully!) get Emvoy into a release state.
  9. Looking Pucca! That's trackball's definitely green!!! See you're in europe - where did you buy it from? - just handy to know who to/not to buy parts from! Oh... and nice shot of yer washing
  10. I can't be sure, but I think I may have seen another appearance of GameEx on TV.... it's a bit hard to make out, but I'm sure it is.... Dunno who the fella is on the left....
  11. Loving the steel CP. Wiring next? Then the true fun begins....
  12. God, they really have trashed Daemon Tools! Sometimes you unmount a drive and the image is unmounted, but randomly the drive doesn't disappear as usual. You try and unmount the empty drive and you get "A reboot is required for the changes to take effect" A feckin reboot!!!??? What is it - 1985? I'm getting the filthy smell of monetary capitalization on this one.... Very poor.
  13. Meh hinstincts were right.... Not knocking the emu, nor the pricing - very nice GUI and seemed pretty stable when testing. I really don't mind donating for code - just that had Mednafen set up, so why make work, huh?
  14. That's helpful Daz, thanks - so - Makaron should be my first stop for DC fighting. Emu's can be a bit of an egg hunt sometimes - with forks and alternative devs. Last stable nullDC Naomi on the project page is 2011. Seen some SVN builds @ V150 - you know about any newer, Daz? One day I'll PLAY a game. ...When I'm 80. With arthritis and the reaction time of a salted slug.
  15. Think it got resolved for Sega Saturn, but took a random leftfield lurch onto TurboGrafx. I missed the 'Traffic Merging' sign...
  16. Sadly Uber, because of the random/unknowable demo version issue making chasing this one down possibly a fools errand, not going any further with this. But I wish you god's speed, fella! I'd like to consider myself occasionally benevolent; however forking out £20 to fix another man's emu is a bit beyond my pale.. back to null.
  17. God... I hate batch so so so so so much...

    1. nullPointer

      nullPointer

Now you're messing with a [duh duh] SON OF A BAAAATCH!

    2. stigzler

a combo of batch and the lurverly "run as administrator" phenomena. I really wish I hadn't started all this...

  18. Yeah. Overall, for Dreamcast, I'm getting a definite NullDC over Demul. However, the graphics seem a little better on Makaron than NullDC for Soul Calibur (see above - smoother, and less glitches - the green fog at end of playfield). For Naomi, Demul looking better overall compared to Makaron (whilst latter is smoother - more glitches in Crazy Taxi): This could all get very silly.... (are their any other Naomi emulators? - anyone tried the nulldc naomi build?)
  19. Recently getting into emu comparison, and it's a shame there's no site comparing emu performance for different games. For example, it would be good to know which games Makaron runs well (as for SoulCalibur - it appears the bestest!) and which ones run like Kack. Yet anther project for another day (or year at this rate)
  20. On the whole, PCSXLunch works OK for me. There's different approaches you can take - mine does invovle changing file names, but it's no biggie. However, if I rememeber correctly, you can also batch create .exes if preserving your filenames is necessary. Made a setup guide here if any use: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/13947-pcsx2-setup-with-individual-games-settings/ There is one drawback I'm still to revisit, but it also applies to PCSXBonus as far as I know. It's around PCSX2 updates including updated plugins - think you have to go through your games list updating all the settings. Of course, with a bit of time and coding, sure this could be worked around.
  21. Yeah - not knocking it. Downloaded demo and looks very tidy indeed. Had a play around with bin/cue files. I am working with the demo version, so not sure limits in any way. However, yer right uber - has to be mounted to scsi not DT. Also, this works in terms of mounting the image in the emu: pce.exe -cd :t this doesn't: pce.exe -cd Sadly - it boots to a black screen my end. You can press escape>Boot CD>[Game] and it boots just fine. Not sure how to enable autoboot. Wierdly, as commonly happens, searching + pursuing emu site doesn't yield any obvious command line lists.. Sorry couldn't be of more help.
  22. Oh. I won't be looking into it as MagicEngine costs £20! Good luck brother, and feeling your emu rage!
  23. I'll look into it. You know you can use Mednafen for TB-16 games? Just in case you got it set up already. Then you can just use the command line: mednafen.exe -fs 1 "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"
  24. Right you are... sorry to interrupt.
  25. Just tested - you can mount images on a DT drive with SSF (tested with .nrg file - sure it'll work for iso too)
