Here's how I got my mouse to work with Arkanoid and was able to adjust the sensitivity 1. Go to MAME User interface 2. Select Arkanoid 3. Click on right mouse button 4. Choose properties (see image below) 5. Select Controllers Tab 6. Check "Enable Mouse input" (see image below) 7. Start up Arkanoid 8. Hit TAB 9. Select Analag Controls (see image below) 10. Adjust the Dial Sensitivity (my value is now 15 instead of 30; see image below) It's a huge improvement being able to play Arkanoid with my mouse (Logitech G5 laser) and being able to adjust the sensitivity. Finally my new hi-score submission: > Hi-score: 31,470 points > initials: DEN > Screenshot of my hi-score: Good luck beating my hi-score. Shouldn't be too hard... Updated OP, DB, RSS and LB

Thank you Krak. Looking forward to it

Nice work Krak ! One tiny little small thing > the menu "Change View / Back / Home / Exit" seems to fade away a little using white text on top of a bright green background color. You could perhaps make the green a little less bright or use another color....? Do you perhaps have a sample of the Mame game select menu ? Does the game marquee also show in the right bottom corner ?

@Rtkiii: I totally agree. I'll definitely look for alternative controls to play this game. Damn, this game is hard playing on a keyboard. Anyway, here's my first submisson: > Hi-score: 24,130 points > Settings used of post #1 > Mame 0.147 compiled used > Screenshot of my hi-score: Your can enter your initials on the Arkanoid hi-score table when getting 30.000 points or more. That's why up untill now rtkiii and myself weren't able to upload a snapshot with our initials. GC Updated OP, LB

@Krak: you're of course free to do whatever you choose I just like your theme so much I may be a little bit impatient for its release. Sorry for that

EF-2 tornado tears through my neighborhood
GimmeClassics replied to Draco1962's topic in Social Club
Glad to hear you're ok Draco ! We don't see any Tornadoes in The Netherlands. It's pretty scary to see how destructive these things can be. -
We’ve decided to add Cyvern to our Hi-Score competition! It has been suggested many times and almost made it to Game of the Month. Missed it by an inch… Quoting our “Shmupper from Hell” : Cyvern is one of them gems that no one has heard of! Any shoot em up fans should play it and realise just how awesome it is. It's a beautifully crafted game, by arcade and any other standards I hope you enjoy playing this game ! Happy Hi-scoring !

Game of the Month Winners
GimmeClassics replied to GimmeClassics's topic in GameEx Hi-Score Competition
Hello everyone, I've adjusted the artwork for our Game of the Month winner banner (see post #1) The first edition had nice artwork but was way too big to actually add to your signature. I think the new banner I've created fits very nicely beneath your GameEx Game Card and is nice to add to your signature. Free of will of course Just watch my signature to see the result of the redesigned GOTM winner banner in action Good luck winning a future Game of the Month and be awarded too with your own signature banner Happy hi-scoring, GC -
When I take a snap with Fraps it's only showing the screen you've snapped without an actual overlay showing your name or date. The filename Fraps is creating is something like: "mameui64 2013-05-11 18-12-10-25". Only the filename is showing the date and a filename can be changed to easily. I would like to be able to take a snap using Mame - or another programm - which automatically adds an overlay with date and your name or initials. Maybe there is a programm which allows you to pre-configure the info it shows when you take a snap. The result would have to be a snap of your screen with an overlay showing your initials and date. If Mame can be pre-configured to this that would be very cool. If I have to use another programm (e.g. Snaps) to accomplish this please tell me how...? Thank you guys !

I am indeed talking about an overlay. Reason I'm asking: most games have in-game hi-score tables where you enter your initials after setting a hi-score and are therefore a perfect fit for our GameEx Hi-score Competition. There are however games (like Pac-Man and Frogger) just showing the top-score without the possibiliy to add your initials. For these games it would be great if it is possible to let Mame automatically add a date and/or name to the snapshot ! If somebody has an other solution I would be glad to hear Thank you guys !

Hi y'all, I've a question about taking a snapshot when playing a Mame game. Hansolo and me have already created a guide for our GameEx Hi-Score competition which enables you to easily take an in-game snapshot (of your hi-score), determine the location where the snapshot is being saved and also allowing you to change the resolution of the snapshot. Hitting F12 will take an in-game snapshot. What I would like to know > is it also possible to let Mame automatically add a date and/or name to the snapshot ? Love to hear if this is possible GC

Looking great Krak ! Thank you for considering my "comments" I love what you're doing with this theme ! Just sharing my thoughts... : videoscreen The video screen on the right is looking good I was wondering if each video exactly fits the video square ? - because of no black space anymore - Perhaps it's a nice idea to somehow integrate the video square with some more artwork so it's looking less of a seperate object...? wiki info panel The wiki info-panel is a great idea ! For users with a HTPC setup it's perhaps a little small to read (..?) but for those with a cab it's an amazing feature arcade setup You've created a theme with an amazing retro-look and is perfect for an arcade cab setup. I understand you are creating a 1920 x 1080 theme. Maybe you could test if your theme is also looking good when using a 4:3 (cab)screen resolution. That would be the best of both worlds With adding more art to this theme (maybe not too "crowded"...?) I'm really excited for the final result. Great work Krak ! These are just my thoughts. You're free to do anything of course

I was wondering the same thing. Thank you for replying Tom ! ....eagerly awaiting the new (theme)engine ...
