I came back from my holiday yesterday ! @ Tempest: it's never too late to give it a chance If you like a hectic shooter as Galaga I think you might also like Cyvern. It's a beautifully crafted game, by arcade and any other standards. And what makes it most fun is competing against other GameEx hi-score members. The more the merrier

It's looks very nice on a HTPC setup I'm glad this theme allows you to see it without any problem when you're sitting further away I like the color bar on your Atari 5200 theme ! Very nice touch

Hi everybody, I thought posting it here was the smartest thing to do. I am on holiday from August 13th to 22nd. I will go to the south coast of sunny Portugal for nine days As you may already have figured out I won't be able to update our hi-score threads during this period. Possibly I will have wifi during my holiday so I might be able to visit our Forum and maybe post a few things. I just won't be able to update our Hi-Score database and Leaderboard. Of course you can still submit your hi-scores as Han - my hi-score moderator in crime - can also update each thread. Thanks in advance Han ! I will probably delete this thread when I'm back from vacation to keep a clean hi-score forum... Thanks, GC

Hi Krak, I understand you're waiting for the new gfx engine to arrive. You shouldn't feel frustrated creating your theme so I understand you're keeping things graphically more basic. And it's still looking very nice ! What I liked about your previous two versions of the GameroomEx (v2) theme: everything was perfectly integrated and you didn't get a feel of seperate located images / elements on your screen. Not a lot of themes were able to accomplish this and yours was perfect It had everything I wished for: a nice system-banner, a perfectly integrated menu and video-image and very nice artwork. I also very much liked the menu's background cab art. It's a pity the present theme creator is kind of holding you back creating and completing the visual stunning theme you initially created. Don't get me wrong > your last work is also very nice but it's graphically more basic and the image / video objects are less integrated in the theme as before. Again, you shouldn't feel frustrated so I understand you're waiting for the new gfx engine to arrive. I hope it will be introduced shortly Keep up the good work. I'm certain we'll see a lot of nice themes created by Krak ! You definitely have a follower in me

@rtkiii: I agree on the "no-freaking-bonus-while-having-cleared-all-the-bricks". It doesn't seem right. But like you said, it is fun to play this game. It's a real challenge getting a good score......and we all have to face the "no-bonus-all-bricks" rule. So I will keep playing Arkanoid and try to get better I hope more will join us playing this frustrating but more-fun-than-frustrating game Updated OP, DB, RSS

@ Daz: nice score ! I knew my score was easy to beat but your score is raising the bar BT ! Could you perhaps explain how and where you should put -mouse in command line (argument) options to get your mouse working when playing Arkanoid ? @Han: I presume you have selected "Enable Mouse Input" for Arkanoid ? (see guide above) Maybe you could try setting the Dial Device to "Mouse" under: Right click Arkanoid > Properties > Controller Mapping > Dial Device Adjusting the Dial sensitivity (Mame > Start Arkanoid > Tab) does have effect on the sensitvity of my mouse movement...strange...it seems to depend on which mouse you use. Although I'm also using a Laser Mouse...
