  1. Hi Krak, nice work buddy ! Maybe a bald request: is it possible for you to create two versions of your Gameroom V2 - theme ? 1) Like in the screenshot below A gamelist with icons and the pac-man gametheme nicely fit in the square on the left (+ pac-man game title banner). And when choosing pac-man at this screen having the possibiliy to choose the default game options (see screenshot 2) in the next screen without going to a full screen setup. 2) Your latest work with fullscreen gamethemes Cya, GC
  2. It's a fun game indeed Good luck posting a hi-score for this game !
  3. Hi Krak, first of all > hyperspin wheel images displaying the game titles is very nice and I agree with a solid coloured divider Nice work! I understand you will be using full screen Mame game themes again (V1 theme) with a possibility now to choose "both ways" to setup and run Mame. I do not fully understand.... 1. I really like the Pac-Man game theme you came up with as part of the Gameroom V2 theme. See screenshot below: [adding the hyperspin wheel image would make it complete] Will this still be incorporated in the Gameroom V2 theme ? Will the new V2 theme include these individual mame game themes like you've created for Pac-Man and presented in the same way as the screenshot is showing >>> video + game theme artwork + gamelist with icons ? I really like this setup you have created. 2. When you select a game in your V2-theme will GameEx still be showing the default game menu options like below. I really like these options Love to hear from you GC
  4. Nice Score Dazzle ! ........ when you play more of our hi-score games you will easily improve your Leaderboard position Good luck ! And to all others: there are just a couple of days left to try and become the winner of Game of the Month - June 2013 !!! So I welcome you to try and beat my hi-score I have posted my strategy to play Nitro Ball in post #28 Happy hi-scoring ! GC Leaderboard updated
  5. "Voting will end on June 30th ! The top 5 voted games will be added to our Hi-score Competition on July 1st"
  6. I completely forgot Tempest....stupid me LOL Very cool I will be able to make my own game themes after your theme is released Thanks !
  7. It was good fun indeed No problem buddy !
  8. Hi everybody ! Do you love to play Arcade / Mame classics like Donkey Kong, Galaga, Centipede and Mario Bros. ? You're more than welcome to join the official GameEx Hi-Score Competition The more the merrier ! It's easy and simple to join 1. Choose a game from any of our Hi-score game threads 2. Read post #1 of the hi-score game thread to make sure you're using the correct game settings (always use 1 credit) 3. Play your game and post a screenshot of the score you earned. To make it even more easy > we have created a small guide for "Changing your game settings" and "Making a printscreen of your hi-score screen". Each hi-score game can be played constantly and even if it's not a HIGH score, you can still submit it and get points for our Leaderboard. Games We now have several games to choose from. Each month new games will be added Because we like to add games to our hi-score competition - which YOU love to play - we kindly ask you to cast your vote in our Polls. Please cast your vote in our last created poll: "5 new games to play !" I hope you'll be excited to join our Hi-Score Competition. You're more than welcome GC and HAN NEW: Game Info Add-on Adultery, our Database specialist, has created a very nice hi-score feature for his Game Info Plugin When you select a game which participates in our Hi-Score Competition GameEx will show an image with the game's hi-score table. See screenshot below: This plugin is initially created for those who have a secondary monitor. It can however also be used on a single monitor, running GameEx in windowed mode and changing the screen settings to "1" in the Game Info Plugin - Config screen.* Download the latest plugin here * For info about setting up the Game Info Plugin please click here
  9. I'm really excited about this theme ! @KRAK: would it be possible to personally add more individual game themes after your gameroom theme V2 is released ? If you could perhaps explain how to create these game-themes and how this has to be setup in GameEx...Would be very cool!
  10. Tempest added by Tempest hoping Tempest can play Tempest with an individual Tempest game theme LOL
  11. A couple of my favorites. You may already have created themes for some of these games Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jr Donkey Kong 3 Mario Bros. Circus Charlie Tempest Popeye Mr. Do R-type Lady Bug NitroBall Burger Time Clash-Road Bubble Bobble Arabian GC
  12. @Krak: If you could do individual Mame themes I'd be very happy Classic games rule ! How do you select the Mame-games for which you create individual themes ? Maybe a bald request but could I (and others) perhaps suggest Mame-games ? I'd very much like to see my favorites with a cool individual gametheme
  13. This is looking amazing. Really looking forward to these individual game themes This has a greate chance of becoming my most favorite theme !!! About the rss feed > just follow the discussion in the thread-link I gave you What I last suggested is having / creating a rss-scroller for each game participating in our hi-score competition. Let's wait and see what is possible... Keep up the good work GC
  14. @Draco: this RSS feed sounds good to me But what I would really like to see > when you select a game which participates in our Hi-Score competition GameEx should show the RSS scroller with the top 5 or top 10 of that game's best hi-scores. We have now 6 hi-score games. 5 more games will be added soon (see poll) and more will follow each month. So we should really have GameEx show the RSS scroller for each hi-score games selected within GameEx and not just Game of the Month....if possible of course If this would imply somebody has to add these scores to the RSS feed somehow (I don't know how it exactly would work) I'm more than willing to do this I really hope we can incorporate each hi-score game in this RSS feed Love to hear what is possible... GC
  15. Improved my personal best score: 51,090 > 78,760 > Score: 78,760 points > Initials used: DEN > Settings used of post #1 (HARD) > Mame 0.147 compiled used > Screenshot of my hi-score: GC Updated OP
  16. Wow, absolutely amazing !!! I was really hoping you would incorporate a gamelist. I loved everything about your V1 theme apart from not being able to scroll quickly to the system / game of your choice. This is really looking good Great work ! 3 questions for you...: 1. could you also add the little game-icons when selecting a game ? Like in the screenshot below. That would really make it a perfect theme 2. When you select a game in your V2-theme will GameEx show the default game menu options like below ? That would be most ideal I really like all of these options. Especially the hi-score menu option... 3. incorporating a hi-score rss-feed would be making it a theme from heaven . I welcome you to read / follow the discussion about such a feed in the Hi-Score Database Manager thread > link Hope to hear from you ! GC [you are, of course, more than welcome to join our Hi-Score Competition It's very simple > choose a game, follow the rules of post #1 of that game and submit your hi-score The more the merrier ---> link ]
  17. @ Adultery: HiToText support (created by Fyrecrypts) stopped at Mame version 0.139. In short its likely that ROMs that have been updated since this version of MAME supported by HiToText, may or may not currently work with HiToText since the affected ROMs and/or ROM sets may have been may have been updated in the meantime. However: I use a compiled version of Mame 0.147 and a lot of ROMs are still working with HiToText and show the highscore in GameEx. GameEx uses HiToText to generate the High Score menu-option after having choosen a Mame-game and allows you to see the games high score table within the GameEx menu. Although HiToText is not being updated anymore a lot of Mame-games are still supported but this may change with every update of Mame. Either supporting more or less games. This is not really clear... It would be very cool if Tom could integrate the hi-scores of our Hi-Score Competition in GameEx by adding a GameEx Menu-option - something like "GameEx Hi-Score" or "GameEx Hi-Score Competition". As we would update these hi-scores manually using the DB-manager every game which is part of our competition will show our Hi-Scores in GameEx. Showing our Hi-Score as an Image2-object would be ideal. Showing it as a pop-up screen (like the high score menu option in GameEx is working right now) is also an option. Love to hear your ideas about his. GC
  18. @Han: I'm sorry to hear you're not feeling well I've read your post at the Social Club about your diverticulitis. Unfortunately I can't give you any good advice but I really hope you're getting well soon! I can always ask Adultery to update any of your threads. (btw; my tapper score is 12,625 ) Hang in there GC
  19. Come on guys, you can do better than this...LOL It's our Game of the Month !!! LOL So, ....my strategy for Nitro Ball Level 1 you can use your secondary weapon 2 times per level. So you have to use it wisely The first time I use my secondary weapon (spinning orbs) is at the screen where you get the counter which goes from 10 till 0 (see screen below; notice the counter at top center of screen). When you use your secondary weapon at this point you can collect all the bonus treasures the cheerleaders are throwing at ya. Collect them points !!! The second time I use my secondary weapon is when trying to defeat the level 1 Boss (see second screen below) Level 2 Again, you can use your secondary weapon 2 times per level. The first time I use my secondary weapon is at the screen where you encounter the tanks. At this screen you also have a counter which goes from 10 till 0 (see screen below; notice the counter at the top of the screen). When the tanks are defeated you can again collect a lot of treasures / points. The second time I use my secondary weapon is again when I'm facing the level 2 Boss. Hope this will help you out collecting them points Good luck with Nitro Ball ! GC
  20. What a fun game ! The game concept reminds of Burgertime and Fire (Game & Watch). Very nice game! But....up till now I kind of suck at it LOL Here's my first submission: > Hi-score: 12,625 points > initials: DEN > Settings used of post #1 > Mame 0.147 compiled used > Screenshot of my hi-score: Updated Leaderboad and Hi-Score Database.
  21. Wow ! Looking good Adultery I'm looking forward using this easy to use DB manager. Uploading new hi-scores to the Hi-score Database will work like a charm Again, I'm very happy one of our Database guru's has joined our Hi-score competition Keep up the good work Adultery !
  22. I agree with Han completely ! Because Han and I unfortunately can't become dedicated admins/mods for our Hi-Score Competition forum, having a 3rd person around who can update our hi-score tables is greatly appreciated Thank you Adultery ! Thank you all for your Tapper submissions. Nice hi-scores I'll definitely try to play this game in the next few days. Leaderboard updated. Congrats to rtkiii for regaining his 1st position and to celly and Adultery for moving up our Leaderboard ! Happy hi-scoring ! GC
