  1. So I quickly tested the following. All install and work without issue. I downloaded with Edge and used the embedded Windows extraction. GameEx, GameEx Arcade Edition, PinballX, Lav Filters, Open Shell and Instant Sheller. So it seems there is maybe a naughty list for certain apps or this guy was talking shit! 7zip also also installed without issue. Windows 11, version 24H2 (26100.2) amd64 That is how it went for me. I tested with VPN inactive and using the normal pihole blocklist
  2. If you want to try Windows 11 24h2 without joining the insider program this seems to work well. https://uupdump.net/ i am testing today.
  3. So, its still in testing and not even a beta but I came across this yesterday. Its on my list to test my apps and pay Microsoft if needed. I'm not 100% sure if its just unsigned exes or certain ones and Microsoft manages a naughty list (or good boy list) but from the below it looks like any exe. You already have to pay Amazon, Google and Apple for the privilege of giving away free software so my take is I am seeing this going the same. On a positive note it has been reported that Apple is allowing emulators in their store.
  4. It could be a windows update or an emu update that broke things. Windows broke background direct input in GameEx some time ago. Its possible. Its kind of why GameEx will never be finished.
  5. Again, I think its an issue with GameEx and my burden to bare! You have the option of rolling back to an older version though until I get to it. There all here.
  6. Well, you helped other folks who had the same question even if you still have an issue! PS: I just tested the FTP with filezilla and my "email" and password and see no current issues.
  7. I have noticed issues with high refresh display rates but not in the latest version. Get the latest version. You are not on the latest version. You did a fresh install of Windows 10 then I assume you did all updates but did not do updates for GameEx itself? 03:35:50.71 09/04/2024: GameEx Core x64: Version 18.56: Starting Log GameEx 18.64 I have also noticed issues with onboard graphics when you also have dedicated graphics. Switching to dedicated graphics for the app fixed the issues. Please confirm you have done both those things and also tried lav codecs? There was also a new version I uploaded last week. Thanks, Tom.
  8. I'm one of the few to still care if you are running Windows 7 or even XP but .net 6 is approaching end of life at the end of the year and assuming no issues; builds that use .net core based compile will be moving to the latest LTS release of .net (core based). This only supports the latest Microsoft Operating systems. I still plan to support .net 4 until it is not possible to do so and this will be your way forward on Windows 7 and below down to ancluding XP. View the full article
  9. Well, it sounds like together we troubleshooted and identified it is a bug or issue with GameEx. It is down to me now to investigate further. Thank you for your patience.. Tom.

  14. There were also improvements to potential lag in a newer version than you are on. Is there any particular reason you are using an old version?
  15. I am referring to this. Not logitech. 13:47:13.09 4/3/2024: Initialising DirectInput for Gamepad support 13:47:13.21 4/3/2024: Using Device 1: Ultimarc Ultra-Stik Player 1 13:47:13.21 4/3/2024: Using Device 2: Ultimarc Ultra-Stik Player 2 As for your issue, it could be a GameEx issue but it could be the emulators work differently from the command line. Look at runitgame.bat in the data folder.
  16. I don't that is a new thing in desktop mode? Could be wrong.
  17. So I purchased an Asus BE98 Pro, a thunderbolt 3 10gb adapter and put the BE96U in media bridge mode. 5 GB Interestingly, although the BE96U is a tri band and the BE98 Pro is a quad band with 2 6ghz bands the BE96U can connect to the second 6ghz band in media bridge mode. 2024-04-05 05-34-40.mp4
  18. Still an active project. Not done!
  19. Not running full screen windowed can reduce lag a little on videos, but yeah, you need a hefty CPU for all apng. Unlike videos they are not hardware accelerated and also single core based.
  20. - This release uses the main GameEx video playback and bass audio code for future cross platform versions. - It may have slightly better performance playing videos on multiple displays. - Upgraded to latest .net 6 desktop runtime. - If upgrading from previous version and have any audio or video playback issues, please report View the full article

  22. Thanks for the heads up. I noticed too the other day.
  23. Its possible, yes, but unlikely. Would need to see logs etc.
  24. Im a little confused as you said it with using a keyboard encoder but this looks like a gamepad issue which is possible I guess. Once you resolve that little bit of confusion i will look further. if you look at the log they are gamepads, no?
