  1. Sorry, actually your right, yep you found a bug. Thanks.
  2. Thats the standard message it gives if it encounters a problem. It was probably just a temporay connection problem. If it persists please let me know, but it might just be your internet connection dropped It runs exactly the same code with automatice update without prompt, so i think thats it.
  3. Thanks. Will be fixed in next release.
  4. That's fine, I can download them just as easy, just need an easy way to get them all. Cheers.
  5. You know, its not a good idea to tell people who your supplier is, but its Orc.
  6. 15th July, 2007 - GameEx 8.49 Thanks to the best graphic designer I currently know, new not played and live MAME logos by Amos If you downloaded 8.48 let me know what you think of the new and improved auto update.
  7. Just FYI: As far as I can see he (Circo) is deffinitly a stand up guy.
  8. There was a long standing bug affecting the speed of the GameEx Menu/User interface, which I did not even know existed until last several versions. Now it is fixed this significantly improves the smoothness and performance of the Menus. Because of this, for anyone not keeping up with the updates, I can at least highly recommend now is a good time to get the latest version. There's also been a ton of great enhancments this last week or so, and because of the new error reporting introduced, GameEx is a lot more intuitive about common errors that may occur that would normally kick you out of the front end. In additon Screensaver/attract mode now also has some clever code to detect when the bypass disclaimer keys have been sent to MAME, meaning often pressing a control will exit the screensaver immediatly after a game is launched rather than after some time. Yourll appreciate this if your running on a Cab. Thanks to everyone for all there feedback and feature requests. As Headkaze said the other day, this is now not software its a community. Thank, Tom
  9. Your welcome, this happened when I was improving the frame skipping and reducing the CPU load in recent version. I found a massive bug that's been present for maybe 18 months. Kind of anoying because the GameEx UI should run smooth on low spec setups now like you say, but there most have been loads of folks who tried and thought it was too slow. On my Vista HTPC its like butter now
  10. Are you sure about that, there used to be torrents?
  11. GameEx always appreciates some nice power behind the hood, so it probably wernt wasted Just a bit of info, I personally find that if you have tripple buffer turned on you dont need VSync on aswell. In MAME and some other games/multimedia apps, you generally have one or the other.
  12. 15th July, 2007 - GameEx 8.48 New and improved Auto Update -Fixes the IO error -Frees up MS Windows to do other things (system friendly) -Can minimize window -Can cancel by closing window -No pause before and after running -Progress bar when downloading -Can clearly see install running -Tells you if an error occurs (Auto update is a registered version feature)
  13. Hey, Are there any that emumovies does not have? You may want to get in contact with Circo and work together. Just a thought. www.emumovies.com

    jukebox

My suggestion then would be to use a tagging tool, or WMP, and rename all those albums with only a couple of tracks to "Various".
  15. Thanks. Much appreciated.

    Sound Issue

Before I can help, can you please try GameEx 8.47 Cheers.
  17. I do plan to improve the update shortly. Ill be integrating the actual download into GameEx.
  18. I just tested the screensaver with latest MAME 1.17 release its still all woring fine for me.
  19. Hey all, If anyone has got any updated translations, can you please email them to me or post here. Current time of posting we are at GameEx 8.47. So need from say 8.xx onwards.. The thing is most of them are really out of date now. Even if you have updated someone elses, Im sure they wont mind as its for the good of all. Cheers. PS: Im happy to give credit where its due and offer you a free license if you dont have one.

    jukebox

You should have menu buttons on the left to select by album, artist, genre etc. Do you not see those? Its standard in GameEx, and has been since the jukebox was introduced. Sorry if i misunderstand the question.
  21. Yes, plan to.. Cheers.
  22. Hi all, If ok with you guys, to make it easier for folks to find and improve the user experience. I'd like to host all your wrappers, docs, and launchers etc on the main Gameex web site. Can you email me at [email protected] if your up for helping with it. I should be a able to accept email attachments up to a about 20mb, so feel free to email anything over. Headkaze, that includes you, youve written a few wrappers and utils yourself. It must be a slight problem, as I cant find them easily. Lets get everything in a single repository. Cheers. Tom
  23. Thanks for the feedback Iano. I think I am happy for the moment that at least its not a bug as it was before. The video previes are never going to be 100% smooth, it never has been on my systems and there fast. I'll look at moving the track info a little to the left. Your right it is off.
  24. Sorry, I only smoked crack a couple of times, that means its fixed right?
  25. Hello mate, I hope you read this. If your around you notice we have a not played list and live lists in MAME now. I wonder if you could knock up a couple of logos for the Media Center theme, and Ill use these as the default for the other themes? Hope you can help? Cheers. Tom
