    I think its a one off where it just downloaded MAME ICONs. Check the artwork download log. I will fix for the next release though. Also ensure you have LAV codecs installed.

    Probably just one of the emulators did not exit correctly. Hard to troubleshoot something like this or suggest it is GameEx at fault when you have run so many games from different emulators.

    I guess so. Like I said they've just been removed from the Setup Wizard. They should still work the same.

    Just so you know the advancemame settings are still supported. There just not available from the setup wizard. They have not been removed from GameEx.

    According to the utility you are missing some files, namely 005.zip. This is what the utility checks for to validate a proper mame set. If you want to work around it - just create a dummy 005.zip file in the folder. Again, unless something drastic changed with MAME you do not have a full MAME set in that folder.

    Again, question goes back to do you have a full MAME set? Does 005.zip or 005.7z exist in C:\Emulation\ROMS? Are all the MAME Roms located in C:\Emulation\ROMS? What is in this folder?

    That error means files are missing from the system pack itself. Did you delete or move some files within it? Perhaps try downloading the system pack again?

    Again, not trying to argue with you but the MAME system pack is designed to work with a full MAME set. I cant really say much more that that, sorry.

    Sorry, well that's what it is, it cant find the files. Namely 005 and I believe invaders.

    And I guess you can't make an omelette without cracking a few eggs. Performance is my main concern too. PinballX would have to load the animation frames into memory. That's where you would get the lag.

    Here are several examples I can think of. 1. http://tags.hfc-essentials.com/tags.php your tag viewing page would work as an addin. 2. An interface for an archive.org collection. 3. Any kind of feed, top 10, or list. 4. Interfacing GameEx with another database. For example Gamebase support in GameEx I think could be created as an addin. 5. GameEx High Score lists etc.

    Unless you wanted to develop your own jukebox or display deep content with menus and lists from LastFM - that would fit better into a PlugIn rather than an AddIn. Addins In simple terms allow custom menus and lists and allow you to run any code when items from those lists or menus are selected such as launch something or play a media file, or load another list. A scraper would work as a plugin, where it would download artwork as you are navigating. Just install the example from the repository manager to see what it is.
