Well I would figure I would share a couple of pics of my cabinet... I don't have the wood working tools or ability to build my own so I opted to pick up a kit from recroommasters.com. It is the sit down version from them. I put in an inexpensive RCA 32" 1080p lcd TV. I wanted to use my own controls and not the x-arcade tank stick. Parts I used are as follows... Ipac keyboard controller LEDwiz lighting controller 2 happ supers 1 happ super with 4-way restrictor from groovygamegear 1 happ trackball - translucent blue Chromalite pushbuttons from groovygamegear AimTrak light gun from ultimarc Spintrak spinner from ultimarc Dolphin bar ( I only use for wii mote controls) mayflash gamecube adapter (for wavebird wireless controller) Ataptoid (n64 adaptor) xbox 360 wireless receiver For the PC I put together this little machine that is better that I ever thought it would be. Intel G3258 20th anniversary pentium chip (overclock to 4.5) Asrock Z97E-ITX/ac motherboard Cooler Master 120v water cooler Cooler Master Elite 130 ITX case Amd 7790 video card 4 gigs ram 2TB internal HD 2TB external HD Things I still want to do, hopefully in the near future... Artwork - still don't know what I want to choose.. Mario Final Fantasy Justice League Michigan Football Up the memory to 4 gigs New video card Can't forget my wall of controllers.. Black Xbox 360 controller White Xbox 360 controller Nintendo Gamecube Wavebird Wireless controller N64 Controller Logitech F310 wire controller Mario Wii Mote Red Wii Nunchuck Mario Battle Pad Mario Racing Wheel Xbox 360 Wired Guitar Just wanted to share.. A new graphic glide plugin for N64 has just been released, just tried myself goldeneye has sky and mario tennis now doesn't glitch when you do specials, testing others but looks like we finally have a decent no glitchy n64 emulation, while you're at it grab the new audio plugin Azimer's HLE Audio Plugin also released today. I ain't too sure on rules for outside links and whatnot, but google first result for both3 points

EmVoy 0.6.6 - Stable Beta Fixes + update: Workarounds for recent DTools changes.Big bughunt - tested on non-dev machine, so hoping will work OK for folks. To come: Better documentation...1 point

Outside linking is fine as long as it doesn't contain any roms/media that is copyrighted (or links to). So giving a direct link to a plugin (or emu for that matter) is acceptable as long as the hosting site doesn't contain copyrighted material as previously mentioned. If it's a direct link to a plugin dev site for example, it's totally acceptable as long as said dev doesn't also host copyrighted material/roms I think you know what i'm hinting at1 point

Humble Bundle is currently holding its Spring Sale consisting of some great game deals and even $0.99 (USD) daily deals. I've already swooped up some nice bargains! Definitely worth a look if you're down with ye olde Steam/Humble Bundle.1 point

'andsome cab that, chap! Artwork - argh - know the feeling. Mine's been waiting over a year now - cab and hardware all done, but really struggling with the artwork bit. I design something, come back to it 3 months later and think "god that looks crap." I'd go Final Fantasy - maybe 8. I think illustration art looks better on cabs - such as the streetfighter character etc.. bet the FF8 characters would look spiffing. Hmmm... comic book Alien art... now there's an idea... And whoa - that's some incredibly meticulous wiring - kudos! You wouldn't believe the mess some fellas get into wiring:1 point

We have an electrician, an artist (somewhat), just need a woodworker and a marketer and we could form a game cabinet company. Wait, would need lots of startup money.. dammit. OK, enough derailing of your cabinet thread!1 point

Very cool mod on the Tankstick! I don't know that I will bother with a complete gutting of mine. just want to add a spinner or two. Since it will be me playing it mostly by myself, I don't see a need to install two, but that may change as my mind often does. A few of us had created some Tankstick skin designs (not sure that the dimensions are to proper spec with the template at RRM, will have to check to see). You can see a few examples here.1 point

It would be a missed opportunity not to link this here since zabrin just shared it with us in the gamer rigs section. Check out the mods he did to his TankStick1 point

Yeah I second the GGG spinner, get the energy cylinder thingy, makes it feel so much better IMO. Probably should consider grabbing a steering wheel adapter too while you're at it. I need to do this myself. Sounds like this is old hat to you Z. If you kept all these you would have a small aracde1 point

I am thinking about modding my Xarcade Tankstick with the spinners from Groovygamegear referenced by ClassicGMR here. While I like the Tankstick, I will probably design my own overlay and have it printed by Recroommasters or see what an old highschool friend can wip up for me who lives in a smaller town just south of me. If he can do a one-time deal but it is of equal or better quality, I don't mind spending a little more $ to help a friend's business.1 point

For version number, it's major.minor.patch but I don't follow this convention. It's your app, number it how you like. Also, don't be worried, part of the fun is that everyone's machine is different so your code may function differently depending on the system. Every step is an adventure!1 point

Maybe you could modify the log engine to log the users system stats similar to the way that GameEx does for the log.txt files.1 point

Nice one Artemis and just finished addressing all the bugs you've helpfully reported. All packed into new version 0f 0.6.5 (heh - I've really got no idea what i'm doing with release version and everyfin - but that looks like what people do - give them numbers and stuff!). Do let me know how you find it. I'm thinking that it might be quite confusing to use - an unfortunate drawback of being an amateur coder - get it doing something first then realise that the end-user side may feel a little cobbled together! I think once you get the hang of designing and importing rigs, the rest should be OK. It really is the rig bit that takes a bit of mastery. I'd say just play around with the demo rig to also get the hang of editing from CPWizard in addition to doing so from CPWizBiz. Careful when using the "View" button under rigs - don't edit or save from this as ends up in misaligned text. Good luck, chap and just holler if anything else needed. btw - what system specs you running? I'd be interested in any speed/compatibility issues for different setups.1 point

Real DMD Video for "24 (Stern 2009)" Click on GIF above for preview animation. This DMD animation is not purely authenic. Because the original ROM sequence did never show the table name "24" I tuned it up a little bit and inserted a homebrewed animated 24 logo. I also started to make my own sequences for other non-DMD tables like "Fire!" and "F-14 Tomcat" using on-board tools Gimp, Powerpoint and Virtualdub. Please let me know, if you like such kind of improvements 24 (Stern 2009) REAL DMD VIDEO 1.1.zip1 point
