A bit of old news now that still may interest some here. I'm sure that door will be (if not already) closed soon.

The arcade atmosphere is one of those intangibles, there's just nothing else quite like it! https://scontent.cdninstagram.com/vp/651f51fae14dc1bc20021a9d5369c0db/5B50F95F/t50.2886-16/36705541_281498362418883_902128752056598528_n.mp4 Cool stickers!

https://filmgoblin.com/igroeper/iggy-says-ready-player-one-literally-best-movie-ever-made/ Well after four failed attempts to see this movie (although I did get to see 50 minutes of it on the last try), I look forward to the 4K release. I know it got mixed reviews here and most everywhere, by those that read the book anyway, but I liked what I saw regardless of the deviation from the book.

Joust 2: Survival of the Fittest is an arcade game produced by Williams Electronics in 1986 as the sequel to Joust. Although most Williams Electronics games in the 1980s used horizontal video monitors, vertical monitors like those in Pac-Man and Galaga were very common. Recognizing the need to create games that could be packaged as conversion kits for vertical cabinets, Williams asked Joust designer John Newcomer to create a vertical-screen game. The result was Joust 2. Released during the waning days of the golden age of arcade games, Joust 2 did not achieve nearly the level of success that Joust had. Given the slowdown in the video game industry and the game's screen configuration, Joust 2 was not made available to home systems of its time. The difficulty in locating operating arcade cabinets meant that video game fans were generally unable to play Joust 2 before 1997, when Midway released the game as part of Arcade's Greatest Hits: The Midway Collection 2. It was later included on Midway Arcade Treasures in 2003.

One of the greatest of all time IMHO

Okay, I get it! Everything is tweakable from here In just a few seconds time I completely ruined the appearance, but I was just randomly adjusting things. I think it's safe to say that I'm happy with the great results I've already been exposed to in the d3d realm. Certainly, it is something I'll retain for future reference though!

Hi, jborgy and welcome to the PinballX forums. It's always a good idea to provide your ini and log when encountering issues just in case it's a configuration issue. Please be patient for a response, as many of those the most in the know are quite possibly enjoying holiday time

Thanks for the clarification, I'm a newbie on these visual fronts and really appreciate the guidance. I'll give this a go as soon as time allows and see how it shakes out compared to what I've already seen. Thank you!

I'm not sure I'm following this one. I've tried it but can't seem to locate the sliders. Does this work in conjunction with the raster and vector ini's or is this an entirely separate monster? Thanks!

Geesh, the polar opposite and while sad, spot on in most cases!

I ran across this while doing some imgur browsing. Nice to see people being respectful and cool to each other. Just something simple that made me smile. One of the most British things you'll ever see

Starting to see a trend here. The new version highlights the darker areas, where the original raster has a tendency to crush the blacks. This is particularly noticeable in the shadow details. Previous: New:

I added it to my original Joust 2 shots. It's a bit of a tough call for me. On one account I like that the new version gives the yellow text a bit more "punch", but at the same time, it has sharpened the image in such a way that the pixels are sharply defined. This sort of takes away that CRT softness and brings back a bit of the LCD look to me. It is just a single title though. <edit> look at "survival of the fittest" and you'll almost see a pattern in it. This was more pronounced on the monitor than the screen cap, I thought anyway.

Wow, hard to believe how many times that old title has come up recently. From what I've read the Link maxes out at 30 Mbps and since it only has a 100 Mbps network adapter it must be particularly dependant on a stable feed of that 30. I assume you've updated to the latest firmware? (and yes I feel stupid asking a dev that question)

I edited the topic in hopes to clarify what it is for those not familiar with the API. Please edit it if you prefer a different description.

That's a good idea! Such a small amount of effort for such large returns. FWIW I'm simply ALT > PrtScrn for these shots (which are being displayed on a Hanns G circa 2008 22" LED) so certainly nothing special. If B2K24 is for it, I'll sticky it in the other FAQ, Guides & useful information subforum per Draco's suggestion.
