  1. Wow, I never knew TDK got into this market, interesting for sure. WTG Stigzler!
  2. I recall the being so far away at some point, but now we're practically at the end of the countdown. I too have been anticipating the release, or what ever it is we will be treated to once it hits zero. Ya know, it could just be a teaser trailer.......
  3. That is super cool Stigzler! I certainly appreciate the kudos, but the real stars will come out when you talented gents take some of these very rough logos, and polish them up and make them presentable. Perhaps some day I will learn this talent, and who knows it may be this project that gets me started, but for now I'm doing what I'm most capable of. I'm up visiting my folks for family reunion, and will return to the hunt the first of the week.
  4. I don't know what the cutoff date for that is, or if there is one, but pre summer sale purchase doesn't automatically mean you don't get the free upgrade. It has been advertised as a upgrade to anyone registering the current version since the first of the year.
  5. You can shortcut to all of this config inside GameEx by selecting the "Advanced Config" once you are in config mode. These links break it all down for you.
  6. The extras set is I beleive 11-15 GB, I don't recall right off, and is available here on the FTP site. See the news section for Tom's annoucement. The extras contain pictures of the cabs, marquees, in game screen shots, etc., and really add to the overall feel of GameEx. I would consider it a must after being exposed to it, but you can get by without it. Look at the MAME settings screen here It doesn't really matter where you put the files, but like I said, I used the suggested directory structure. Just click and browse to your folder location. You will also see in here numerous default paths to the Extras, if you download those, edit the paths to point to your directory locatioins.
  7. Is the summer sale is already over? Do you have 0.151 Extras for MAME? If so, open it up and look at the contents, from a "folder" perspective, then in GameEx you will see in the MAME settings the default paths for these, which are no doubt incorrect for you as they were for me. I tried to stay right inline with the suggested directory structure withn setup to keep this clean and simple. I would suggest this method, but regardless, just point those to the correct folder paths, and you'll be off and running with all the bells and whistles the EXTRAS set has to offer. I'm no help on XBMC, but there are several XBMC guru's here that can answer that one.
  8. Oh Geez! I've been going with humble bundle myself, but competition is a good thing, right? Bring on the daily deals!
  9. You been hitting the ales again? I just got to "Headsoft", and I'm betting you know what came up!
  10. I'll be out of pocket over the weekend, so things will be slowing down from my end. I may have to show my wife this thread, I'm not sure she believes that I'm looking at logos!
  11. Yes, then you can stay busy keeping Dazzle off your system!
  12. Cool! I gotta ask, what's the cheese slicer for, and were bloody mary's involved at some point too?
  13. Thanks! I want to do my part to help, and there is still much to do once the source has been found, so I pretty much just dug in my heels and went for it. You get on a roll of sorts, but man, I was dreaming logos Monday night
  14. Man, that is going to be sweet when it is finished! I really like that style of cabinet. Thanks for posting the pics, keep them coming.
  15. Nice build you got there! Be sure and post you progress in the gamers rig section if it isn't too much of a bother. I love seeing pictures of the process, as do many others here. Welcome to the GameEx community!
  16. You may want to check out the "hidden gems" thread over at PD.
  17. Just wait, they have freebies from time to time of pretty current games. You can goto steampowered.com and install it without games, so you can grab one as soon as it's available. If it's good, there's generally someone here posting about it. The steam sales come around pretty often too, but be warned, they can become addictive!
  18. Yeah, somehow "HandEgg" just doesn't have a good ring to it. ........and who came up with the pattin on the ass thing? Wouldn't have wanted to be the first guy demonstrating that! Big ole sweaty dudes running around in tights, pattin each other on the ass, what a concept! I like HandEgg, but some of these traditions gotta go!
  19. I'll be going to see my dad next weekend, when I go home for one of our family reunions, but today we will get together with my wifes family to remember her dad who passed just this March. I remember as a kid wondering why such a big deal was made of these two days, but man, enjoy them while you can!!! Happy Fathers Day!
  20. I almost did this last night, as the publisher logo was available for Aprinet, I'll go dig it back up. stigzler, Filling up the dropbox today I C, also feel free to do whatever you need to, I'm just pointing to them. Anyione else notice that googledocs doesn't play nice with Firefox? I get constant crashes, so I just open IE, which keeps me from closing it accidentally anyway.
  21. I see Hans point. Ultimately it is work, really, but some softening may go a long way. Perhaps something like "Helping hands signups", with a list of those projects most in need of help, I dunno, just an idea. Over the years I've done serveral of these recruiting type posts (not here), and it seems, at least to me, that the ones that want to be involved, become invloved. Others are simply irritated by what they view as "pressure" for lack of a better word, with any sort of reminder, and oftentimes no matter how subtle. I would agree that there is a portion of the communtiy out there that is simply unaware, and may be attracted to a certian project if it were right in front of their face, or otherwise it could go completely un-noticed. my .02
  22. Here's what I'm running into: Right now I just finished a 15 minute search for ARC Entertainment, and I found something, but I doubt it's what I was looking for becasue it was for PSN and PS3. Nobody I know is currently emulating these, so it's doubtful I found the one I was searching for. It would be nice if we knew the platform the dev was coding for. I can see adding that info for 5k games being a lot of work, but it would help to narrow it down. Some of these devs are so old and obscure, that they are only named by association with the publisher. I'm sure this isn't breaking news to you guys!
  23. I'm sure it was just me. I registered using my personal mail server address, then when I got to the google login, I thought huh, and just used my gmail account since I already have that all set up. so you had my permissionis set to my actual email address, but I logged into my existing @gmail.com address (which has no permissions) had I thought it through I would've simply provided the gmail addy to begin with. Sorry for creating work for you!
