  1. Here it is bud. J log.txt
  2. Hi All, I dont seem to be going up in the same balloon as the rest of you guys and gals with regards to the new features. I am refering to GameExtender and Pressing 'L' for the Control Panel Viewer. Pleae can someone explain to me what I am doing wrong. Many Thanks J.
  3. I dont normally use Snes9x but I have just quickly tried this out. It seems to work. On your snes config setup the config file as N64 (this is already setup in GameEx and it is confured exactly how you need it. configFile=N64 (This sets up GameEx to Exit the emulator using the corect keys Alt +F4. You can still use Escape to quit back to GameEx.) Then on send keys type {ESC} SendKeys={ESC} Then on waitbefore keys type: WaitBeforeKeys=3000. The number in this is the amount of milliseconds GameEx will wait before it presses Escape. (which is the button that gets rid of the GUI. You may need to reduce or increase this figure to get it hidden as soon as the rom opens up. J.
  4. I gather that we are trying to create full sets of shots for all of the good sets. What I mean is we should decide which console each of us is going to work on. So we dont duplicate work. Also are we just doing USA shots I think it would be better making Individual folders for all folders of a good set. i.e. /USA,/Europe,/apan and maybe some of the others like /Hacks. Basically what I mean is do a complete set of Everything in a Good Set so that if Multiple Rom Folder support is implemented we will already have the shots for them. J.
  5. It isnt on the link but the full set has recently been posted. J. They are on the front page but listed as pinmame tables
  6. I think I might join in with this. What format do the screenshots need to be to be displayed in GameEx? Also who is doing which console? should'nt we decide this so we dont end up doing the same thing. J
  7. I think you have debug switched on. Turn it off that will stop it. J.
  8. Not sure if this is what you are afte or not. Open up the GameEx config and click on display settings. Then near the bottom turn Run in Arcade Mode to 'ON'. This should disable the mouse buttons. Secondly Click on Input settings and Enable the 'Enable SlikStik and IPAC Support. I really dont have a clue if that will work as I dont have a SlikStik. J.
  9. One quick question, Are you buying this monitor from a website or is it a private sale. I have been looking to get an arcade monitor but have had no luck finding any. I am in the U.K. Anyone have any suggestions. J
  10. I dont think this is a GameEx issue. I had this problem. Are you using the MNG video previews. If so that is the problem . The Street Fighter and Star Gladiator ones dont work properly. I ended up deleting them from the folder and just using screenshots for these games. J
  11. Open up MAME32 . Click on 'Options', Then 'Default Game Properties'. Then click on the 'controller' tab (NOT the controller mapping Tab). Then on the right hand side there is something called 'default input layout'. Click on this and change it to either hotrod or hotrod SE. Then apply the changes. Hope this is what you meant J

    Controls.ini usage

I have thought about this too Necro. The way I think I am going to get around it is to make a custom Background for each emulator with a Picture of the X-Arcade in the bottom left-hand corner(with the buttons written on it). Hope that makes sense J
  13. Thankyou Tom. That fixed the problem I had with Start-up Vids Cheers Bud J
  14. Hi Tom, Sorry about this but GameEx dosent seem to want to play any Start-up videos now. Any Ideas. Cheers J
  15. I dont think it is a resolution problem. I have tried a few others but get the same results (with slightly smaller or larger images in the bottom-left corner). I have also tried one of the video game commercials as a start-up video and I get the same results. These videos always play full screen when played within GameEx. So I am at a loss as to why this isnt working. Does anyone have any ideas what I am doing wrong. J
  16. Are you guys managing to get this to play full screen? If so please tell me how you did it. J.
  17. This is a cool find Cupid! It dosent quite work properly for me though. When I start GameEx it starts off full screen but then changes to about quarter of the screen (Bottom left). Not sure why that is. Anyone got any ideas or am I doing something stupid again? J
  18. One other thing if you set Gens to open full screen. Then on the config you can change Show Desktop = False . So the desktop stays hidden. J.

    Daphne Config

Sorry Bud I havent worked that one out yet. I will post if I manage to find out a way of doing it. J.
  20. Unfortunately that didnt work DJ. This time I had to click on the table to get the lights to show (Music was playing in the background, so everything was running properly). I also had to ALT and TAB to get the scoreboard in front of the Table again. Thankyou for trying though Cheers J.

    Daphne Config

    Here you go buddy. This one works for me. UseDaphne=True DaphnePath=H:\Emulators\Daphne DaphneExe=Daphne.exe DaphneSnap=H:\Emulators\Daphne\EmuMovies Daphne DaphneOptions=vldp -fullscreen -x 640 -y 480 -nohwaccel And here are some examples of the game configs Enabled_1 =True ROMName_1 =lair GameName_1 =Dragon's Lair GameOptions_1 =-framefile H:\Emulators\Daphne\disk\dldvdrom\dl_framefile.txt Enabled_2=True ROMName_2 =sae GameName_2 =Space Ace GameOptions_2 =-framefile H:\Emulators\Daphne\disk\SpaceAce\ace_framefile.txt Enabled_3=True ROMName_3 =astron GameName_3 =Astron Belt GameOptions_3 =-framefile H:\Emulators\Daphne\disk\abelt\abelt.txt Enabled_4=True ROMName_4 =bega GameName_4 =Bega's Battle GameOptions_4 =-framefile H:\Emulators\Daphne\disk\bega\BegasBattle_framefile.txt Enabled_5=True ROMName_5 =cobraab GameName_5 =Cobra Command GameOptions_5 =-framefile H:\Emulators\Daphne\disk\CC\cc.txt Have a good one J.
  22. O.K. I have uninstalled and re-installed Visual Pinball and PinMAME to the same versions as yourself. I also added the xpfix and changed my GameEx config accordingly. It still dosent work though. The only thing that has changed is that Ctrl and Tab bring the scoreboard forward but it will not stay there anymore. So it is definetly getting forced behind the Visual Pinball window. Any sugestions? J
  23. Hi Dj, I have noticed something new. If I press Ctrl and Tab when the table has loaded the scoreboard briefly appears and then disappears behind the Table again. If I press these buttons a few times eventually the scoreboard stays in front of the table. So whatever is being used to hide the Visual Pinball window is also hiding the scoreboard aswell. I have tried using different video options on Visual Pinball. And it is set to full screen I just dont seem to be able to remedy the problem. Also I dont think it is the Video card either because it works perfectly when I load a table directly from Visual Pinball. The Graphics card is an ATI Radeon 9200 128MB AGP with TV out. Cheers J
  24. I get the same results. I only want to use it for the games that aren't in M.A.M.E. I have tried using command line wrappers too but it still wont work. J
  25. Hello All, I am sorry for bringing this one up again but PinMame/Visual Pinball are still not working 100% for me. I have scoured the forum for answers but not come up with a solution yet. The problem is that the scoreboard will not show up on any of my tables once loaded. There is no mention of anyone having a problem like this on this forum so I must have something set up incorrectly or installed wrong. Could someone post their config and also tell me how they have the 2 programs installed on there hard drive. PinMame is obviously working because the tables have sound and are playable. It just isn't working 100%. It does work properly when I use Visual Pinball on it's own. One other thing I have noticed is that when GameEx loads Visuallpinball/Pinmame i dont get the Pinmame Splash screen like I do when launching a game from windows Everything else is perfect. It quits when I want it too. I can use the flipper buttons on my X-Arcade (Thanks to Tom). I can play the tables. I just cant see the scoreboard Also, I have recently started using music in GameEx and have noticed that sometime the music dosent stop when playing a Game. Or it will try to pause but end up sounding like a stuck record (just repeating the same piece of music over and over again). I am not sure if this is a GameEx or Media Player problem. I also cant pin down what causes it exactly as it dosent seem to happen all the time. Cheers J. P.S. Is there a way of getting the first list that Jukebox shows to be "By Album" rather than "All Music".
