  1. Does anyone know if it is possible to add an option when selecting Playstation (or any other CD based Emulator) to play an actual CD rather than an .ISO image. Perhaps at the top of the games list. I cant think of any way of doing this. Anyone have any suggestions. Also has anyone got a working config for P.C. Engine C.D. using Magicengine. Cheers. J
  2. Could anyone tell me what I am doing wrong with this chankast Setup. Here is my config: [Emulator_41] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Sega Dreamcast TITLETEXT=Dreamcast Games StartPageLogo= ROMFilter=*.lnk RomsInFolders=False RomPath=H:\Emulators\Sega_Dreamcast SnapPath=H:\Emulators\Sega_Dreamcast\Snap WorkingPath=H:\Emulators\Sega_Dreamcast MapKeys=False WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=True RemoveBrackets=False ShowDesktop=False Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch= Command=[ROMPath]\[RomFile] OLDatZip= TitlePath=H:\Emulators\Sega_Dreamcast\Title BoxPath= LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= CartPath= configFile= ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic= PCGame= DATABASE= Here is my shortcut setup: "H:\Emulators\Sega_Dreamcast\chankast_launch.exe" -fullscreen -cpu 108 -showstats -daemon "C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe" 0 "H:\Emulators\Sega_Dreamcast\iso\Super_Puzzle_Fighter_2X_for_Matching_Service_(J)(Eurasia)(SB).cdi" I think this is where I am going wrong. The shortcut that I am creating does nothing. I am copying this info into notepad and saving it with a *.lnk prefix. Is this wrong? If not can anyone see what I have setup incorrectly. Thanks J.
  3. Tom i see on your Website you have asked for help creating Database files for GameEx . How do you go about doing this. Also when creating them is it possible to add more filters. If so would it be possible to add Region specific ones. J.
  4. Make sure you add : DATABASE=SNES To your Snes Config. That should work. J.
  5. To Wrench and Protecteur. Browse to your Theme folder in GameEx. There will be a new set of layouts at varying resolutions. All with V2 in the title. Open one of these and you are ready to start creating. J. Fantastic release Tom. I have one question. Can we make our own Database files or will more be released with upcoming versions of GameEx. The theme editor is also excellent. A Great piece of work Headkaze.
  6. This could be partly to do with rom renames with each new mame build. J.

Ok no worries. Thankyou anyway. Has anyone else got this problem. Tom do you think it is the frontend stretching the image. J.

    3D GAMES

Emph, Did you manage to get the Brave Blade problem sorted. I have got Zinc working fantastically well (including Tekken 3 at 57-60fps!). But Brave blade is still stretched. I noticed that you posted something similar on the Zinc boards. They seemed to blame it on the frontend. Do you or anyone else have any solutions for this. Thanks in Advance J.
  9. It works in and out of GameEx. J.
  10. No put it in the main M.A.M.E. folder. This should fix your problem . I have just double-checked. This definitely works. J.
  11. I use this for mame. just unzip and put it in the Mame root folder. I dont think there are any for consoles unless you use save states. http://www.mameworld.net/highscore/ J.
  12. With Zsnes there is a cfg file that you can edit. Firstly set up your joysticks and exit buttons using the Zsnes GUI. Then go into the cfg file and look for this line. GUIDisable = 0 Change it to 1 and this should make it run even better. No Gui will show when loading a rom within GameEx and your joysticks should stay configured as long as you dont change which USB ports they are plugged into. J. P.S. Dont forget to change this line back to normal if you need to get back into Zsnes on it's own . It will not open with this line changed.
  13. I dont use one myself but I think I remember reading a post similar to this a while back. Do you use a wireless keyboard. I think they can sometimes throw out repeated keystrokes. Just a guess. J.
  14. Here is my ZSnes config. It took me ages to get this working properly but now it is perfect. Try this if you like it may solve your problem. Here's mine [Emulator_33] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=Sega Master System TITLETEXT=Master System Games StartPageLogo=sms ROMFilter=*.zip RomsInFolders=False RomPath=H:\Emulators\Sega Master System\Roms\USA-Europe SnapPath=H:\Emulators\Sega Master System\EmuMovies Sega Master System AVI Game Previews WorkingPath=H:\Emulators\Sega Master System MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=True ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=True RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=False Debug=False MAPFile= AlsoLaunch= Command=mekaw.exe "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" OLDatZip= TitlePath=H:\Emulators\Sega Master System\Title Scans ( Master System) BoxPath=H:\Emulators\Sega Master System\Box Scans (Master System) LaunchBefore= LaunchAfter= CartPath=H:\Emulators\Sega Master System\Cart Scans (Master System) CustomBackground=mastersystem I am sure I used a modified version of Meka to get this to work from Screenshot Archive. But you can try it if you want. J.

    NES video snaps

To stop you getting banned. Do you have a full mame rom set. If so run it through clrmame Making sure it is perfect. Then download Torrentzip. Drag and drop your mame Roms folder into it and wait. It takes at least 2 hours. Then once complete download their hosted Torrent for Mame (Currently v.103) and share that. There are always peple that want Mame Roms Sets. This is a way of keeping control of your ratio, until you download something that is more frequently leeched by others. Also with Emuconnie you need a proper E-mail Acount the same as what you would of needed to register with PleasureDome. So use that one and that should sort out that problem. J.

    NES video snaps

They might show up as dead torrents because at the moment he is using As a host for his torrents. I recommend registering with these. Once you have done so type Emumovies in the search bar and at the time I wrote this all of them were being seeded. This also happens to be the best torrent site I have found. But make sure you share otherwise you will be banned. J.

    NES video snaps

Request a reseed on the Emumovies site. Circo the person runninng the show there will help you . I would but this is one set dont have. Also I may be wrong but the NES versions were in a different format to all the other hosted videos. (NES were just intros, all the others are intros followed by title screens) So this might be why they are not being seeded anymore. They may be being remastered. J.
  19. Try a couple of these emulators if you want. They arent as upto date as the standard releases though. They have been modified to work within a cabinet. (No Keyboard, and quit with Escape) I think most of them require you to set up each one using an original copy then overwrite it with the modified emulator. http://home.comcast.net/~cpviewer/applications.htm The Screenshot archive used to have a load of these too but there site is down atm. Also to get rid of the timer with Magic Engine you have to register. It is worth doing though . It is an excellent emulator and works fantasically well with GameEx. J.

    Mame Videos

They work fine on my system. I have been using them for a while. More so the console videos. If you are using rom sets with the GoodXXXX naming convention then they will work perfectly. J. If for some reason they dont work go here and download this. http://www.xpcodecpack.com/ This should enable you to play pretty much anything in media player so these videos will work too. But chances are they will work without this.

  22. I am currently using Mame32 v.103. I just cant seem to get this control panel viewer to work. Can you name a few Mame games that it definately works for on your setup because I have tried plenty now and still had no luck. J.
  23. I have GameXtender working now thanks. But as for the 'L' button I have tried several games all with a CP viewer available to look at before launching but it dosent display once Mame is launched. J.
  24. here is the ini file Tom. J GameEx.txt
  25. O.K. Firstly with regards to the 'L' button. Does GameEx display the Cpanel shots or the control panel viewer when 'L' is pressed. Or have I got the wrong end of the stick. Secondly I have tried following your guide. I have set GameEx to windowed then opened GameExtender. The first time I did this My firewall picked it up and tried to block it(ZoneAlarm). I allowed it through but all that happened is the screen went black and stayed like it for some time. Until I decided something wasnt configured properly. Hope that makes sense. J.
