  1. Thank you very much TX_TRINITY and Atari800. It finally worked. Now the only thing left is to map the controls in the System 22 Emulator Vivanonno to my X-Arcade controller.

Anyone got Vivanonno working perfectly? Can't seem to map the keys to my X-Arcade
  3. Hi guys, I seriously need help configuring the controller.cfg file to make it work for Zinc in Gameex. I have done this: Have pointed to the the render and control files in Gameex. Also pointed to Zinc folder and Zinc.exe. My Zinc.exe is not located under C: but have tested it also. Same problem. Have pointed the roms in the MAME roms path so this I get: When I start GameEx I see the Playstation option with all Zinc games under it and also the Zinc games are under MAME. So far so good. I can start a game (the render is fine) BUT the controls don't seem to work even if I edit the Control.cfg and the file for X-Arcade. (I have a X-Arcade controller) I use Dafreaks Zinc GUI. Some people say that you must use the other GUI available (don't remember the name) to edit the controlls and launch from Dafreaks Zinc GUI. Also I have a problem with Vivanonno (Ridge Racer 2 and Rave Racer) Can manage to map the controls to the X-Arcade controller. Anyone knows how? Please help because those two problems are last things I have to solve before it's complete.
  4. Hi guys, I wonder if you have a solution on how to configure the controller plugin in GameEx for Zinc. I have the DaFreaks front end installed and configured up. There the render plugin plus the WinterBlast controller plugin works but as soon as I try to configure it in GameEx (using syntax under Zínc Options) I only manage to make the game run (not bad) but the controls are mixed up. Any solution on this? Also, does anyone know how to configure the X-Arcade controller for the Vivanonno emulator (emulates Ridge Racer 2 and Rave Racer) and make the games run when you click them. Now I get the emulator and must choose Load Rom and so on. I appreciate your help in the past and hope you will help me again. I'm so close to completing my cab and it hurts when problems such as this occur.
  5. Hi guys, I wonder if you could help me out with this one. I have had trouble with my configuration in Neo Geo games before. It seemed that MAME wasn't able to save the inputs I made for Imput (General) or Input (This Game)´. I thought that it just were my Neo Geo games that were trouble with but now it seems severeal other games also are affected. I have plugged in 2 extra USB controllers into my PC (1 is a normal PC controller, the other is a GC controller connected from a special switch) Both controllers is configured in the Control Panel, so they work fine. For some reson it seems that these two controllers save their information all the time but the input I set for P1 and P2 is ovverided by P3 and P4 respectivly. When playing Neo Geo games it's automatically set to all the keys for P1 + P3 and for player 2 it's P2 + P4. How may I solve this. It's very annoying to have to set up the controllers all the time I shall play. I have an X-Arcade controller. The X-Arcade can be manually configured but I have never touched that function. Is there any script or something like configuring the buttons for GameEx for MAME??? Please help a confused person out will ya. UPDATE: I've found the problem. It's not connected to GameEx nor MAME, it's my controllers that ovveride the x-Arcade because it's handled as a keyboard (stupid) and therefore doesn't have any JoyID to set. Does anyone know how to solve this problem. I'm very frustrated by this. I must be able to have two additional USB controllers and the X-Arcade.
  6. I've converted it into a .exe file and then it worked smoothly. Thanks for the tips anyway guys.
  7. No not at the moment but a friend of mine told me it would be easier if I did. It a PP presentation saved as a slideshow at the moment.
  8. Hi guys, First of all I would like to thank you all for very good support and fast answers. My latest and last problem I have before my whole arcade cabinet is finished (pictures soon) is the following: I have created a help file in Powerpoint and saved it as a slideshow. In gameex I have set it up as an external program but for some reason it's very hard to bring it up. It shows in Gameex but when clicking it sometimes it start and sometimes it don't. It could be that the document starts the first time but don't end as it should (executing in the background) Also I have managed to make it work but the problem is when I start Gameex with Instant Sheller. My guess is that Instant Sheller locks all background tasks and therefore it don't work. Perhaps it coud work if I convert the document into .exe but it's not supported in Power Point 2000. Anyone have a guess what I can try?
  9. I have an old version of Game Ex. Can't check which right now. I'm running on a PC-Monitor and I can select the theme from the theme picker.
  10. Thanks lingpanda You solved my 3 problems. Not exactly as you said but you gave me a push in the right direction. 1. I found the theme manager. Thanks 2. I solved this problem too. It seemed that the controls was mixed up when I installed a Gamepad to be able to play 3 players in some games. Changed the input for "all games" and the neo geo games were saved and the MAME were as they should. 3. The last problem was the hardest. I think there is some kind of bug because even if I turn of the Jukebox the sound comes up when I start Gameex. I deleted all my sound in the computer and it worked. It doesn't matter because I have backup of them in my computer. All these problems is in my dedicated computer for my Arcade cabinet. Anyway thanks lingpanda. And by the way, your Theme looks amazing. Is it working or a work of progress? Because I downloaded it but it won't start.
  11. Thanks Lingpanda I think you solved two of the problems right away. Shall test it when I get home. The 2nd Problem is as follows: When playing a Neo Geo game in MAME and GameEX (problem related to MAME I think) the controls on my X-Arcade is mixed up and not configured as they should in normal MAME games. The X-Arcade has 6 player buttons + 2 extra buttons for both player 1 and 2. The 2 extra buttons shall not be assigned any moves (as I remembered it) only the 6 player buttons. So if you play KOF2000 you should have Weak, Medium, Hard punch at the upper row and Weak, Medium, Hard kick at the lower. Problem is that some assignments land on the two extra buttons and some isn't there completely. It could be that I need to change this using the menu in mamae (the TAB button) but the only two options available is for one game only (takes awhile to set up 20-30 neogeon games, plus they loose the config after a while) or set it up for all games. But then all the MAME games is affected. There would be no problem if I had an emulator just for neo geo games so that I could configure them there. Maybe time for that. Don't know if you can help me out with it. I'll appreciate the help so far though.
  12. Hi guys, I have 3 problems before my MAME cabinet is complete! I usually fix all problems by myself but I have much trouble with these. 1. Firstly I can't figure out how to activate a new theme! I know where to put the theme after downloading it but how do you activate it? From Theme manager? I know I have done this before but can't manage to do it now. 2. The second problem I have is that the neogeo control setup somehow manages to reset itself all the time even if I change the settings for that particular game from the Tab button in the game. This is very frustating. I've searched for answers but the answers point to changing the setup in GameEx (editing the basic input file with a text editor and so on) I use an X-Arcade controller and this has worked fine some time ago but one day this problem surfaced. All normal MAME games work as they should and SNES, Megadrive and Amiga is configured from the emulators. 3. The last problem is that I can't turn off the Jukebox. When I do that it's not displayed in GameEx (as it should) but sound emerges anyway??? How do I turn of the sound because I don't want the Jukebox option but now I'm forced to because I don't want to have sound as soon as I start up the system (this can be deactivated from Game Ex if the Jukebox is activated) I hope you can solve my problems because it drives me crazy. 13. Thanks Jedah, I'll try that. Nicer forum and people are hard to find.
  14. I got the feeling that SNES9x was harder to configure but I'll try that. Thancks for the advice mate.
  15. I have a very annoying problem that I hope somebody can help me with. Some SNES games that work without problem in ZSNES don't show up in GameEx. The game starts to load then returns to GameEx. I have managed to get all SNES games that I have to work except for these 5 remaining ROMS. The games in particular is TMNT - Tournament Fighters, Super Star Wars - Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi, Tiny Toons - Wacky Sports and Marvel Super Heroes. Does anyone know any solution on this?
