me thinks i figured it out.on systems that you have your roms merged,it shows a snap of the game.systems w\o merged roms it shows the title screen.pretty nice feature,if it is meant that way. and no,that was not me Adultery

I thought GameEx showed the title screen artwork in the game tag,not a screenshot.am I incorrect? or has something been changed? or does it differ by system? for genesis it shows a title screen,for nes it was showing a screenshot.strange....

Oh Draco just wanted to throw this one up,maybe you can use it because I noticed it wasnt in the packs

@ Draco is there a way I can make a few of these logo's a little bigger? some of them like adult,vertical,horizontal and a few others are really small.maybe it is the theme I use (blueglass) that tends to make the images look smaller.

Only thing I have ever found regarding AAE art image

Draco-just wanted to let you know that you are missing 1 emulator: AAE another arcade emulator also,the snes one,that is not a US snes,the US one had purple buttons on the controllers and the console was different.other then that they are great and they look good on my theme

@Draco these logos kick ass!! they are by far the best I have seen for GameEx so far,and they are going to look great with the blueglass theme I use.thank you.my first game of mortal kombat on the tankstick will be dedicated to you!

you mean your games are not showing? if so,you need to specify the extension in the rom filter.my saturn games are in .bin\.cue.so in the rom filter for sega saturn I have *.bin so only those show.if you dont specify with cd based games,and say you have a game that has seperate audio tracks they will all show unless you filter them

how many games are showing for each? some are clones.you could set them up as seperate emulators.I use the GameEX integrated zinc support,but for m2 I have it set up as a emulator.I do this because all the m2 video snaps in the mame set say that this game doesnt work zinc has 60 and m2 has 56

what format are your roms in? are they zipped up or no?

I believe what you are talking about is Hyperspin With HS you download HS 1.0 then apply the .exe updates 1.1 & 1.2

AH!! the infamous zinc emulator.never has there been a more user UN-friendly emulator.I swear my blood pressure spikes when setting this emu up.Frequency and I have spent more time on this emulator then any other.and it still doesnt work 100%,for some strange reason it will not give focus unless GameEX is in windowed mode while launching the game. anyways enough of my rambling,have you tired using the zinc FE by aldo to make a cfg file?this is the only way I have gotten my controls to work correctly.I guess you could set it up as a seperate emulator and use the advanced config utility,but there must be a reason I have not done this already,just cant remember now.sorry I couldnt be of more help,but what I suggested worked for me.I do use a 360 controller though,but I did just order a tankstick w\trackball about 15 minutes ago

I would just create iso's IMHO,iso's are better then constantly switching games in & out of drives,its not like they have to be mounted with fusion,and you can keep your original's in the shape they are in now,pretty much what I do with my real turbografx cd's--just me 2 cents

how do you start a game? do you click on a game name or do you type a CL something like this mame.exe starwars -joy or do you use this in the attached pic?

I actually use mess for coleco & 7800 and a few other obscure consoles and for those systems it works well.it was working well for 2600 until i tried loading a starpath game.....now I have stella for 2600

I have no intro 5200.goodsets had way to many hacks.no need for 10 versions of "carol shaws river raid",not at all Adultery,you have a pm! UPDATE.frequency is correct,I changed my roms back to .a52 format and they did work,but I had to change the bios back to .rom because it would not load in .a52 strange......

just rename them to .rom.thats what i did. i used FILE RENAMER

freq is correct that command line works fine for kat5200.and yes i use bliss for intellivision,since it supports more games then mess,and it also supports voice in b-17 bomber! to get full screen with kat,you have to set the options in the emulator.in other words,set up up fully outside of GameEX.and no,the roms have to be unzipped,and in the .rom format sorry for the delayed response Adultery,I fell asleep @ 9:15 last night GameEx.zip

lol what a coincidence this just happened to me a few days ago!.I was using mess for 5200 but tried playing joust and found out it does not work in mess.neither does asteroids,and a few others.and according to the mess svn log,it seems that system is in limbo.so i tried them all and i have to say that kat5200 kicks ass.it plays ALL roms,and supports voice in berzerk,something else mess does not do click HERE for kat5200

Jeremy-these files are what you need. History.dat Catlist.ini Nplayers.ini Mameinfo.dat Command.dat ------->CORRECTION I would go with the shorthand but it really is all about personal preference Controls.ini what you want to do is download these files,make a new directory in the GameEX folder,then go to advanced mame options and set the path to these files,then update your list.not only will the game names be correct,you will have categories & game information.Also I would delete the cached game list located in GameEx\data.It is a text filed called gamelist,delete it,(make backup just in case) then update your list Let us know how you are doing.We will have you up & running
