Just my opinion on this emulator & my experience with it: Not a very good emulator,I had numerous rom and screen size issues.Also had controller issues when mapping the numerical keypad to a keyboard.also there are a few games it does not play ended up ditching it for bliss.havent looked back GET BLISS HERE

So I finally have a COMPLETE history of videogame consoles in GameEX.all the way from the first cartridge based system,the Fairchild Channel F(actually I have even further back then that,I have the original odysee and a few pong machines emulated as well,but they are not cart based,they used jumpers and whatnot) to the original nes to the PS2 ( I have no need to emulate the one 7th gen console that can be emulated,the Wii since I own one and I still feel that Wii games should be purchased,no offense to anyone who does emulate the Wii,just my honest opinion on the matter). So I was thinking next to move on to classic computers and as such I was thinking of starting with the C64.anyone here have C64 in their GameEX and use it with Gamebase? if so what do you think of it (gamebase) and what emulator do you recommend

Ever since $ony took backwards compatibility out of ps3's because of the "cost" they have been on my bad side. Has anyone else noticed that $ony made the exact same mistake Nintendo did? ill explain the original nintendo and super nes were 2 of the biggest consoles in gaming history so by early 95 nintendo felt like they could no wrong and were invincible.then they made their first big mistake.and that was the n64 nintendo felt they they could sell a system on NAME ALONE and turns out they were wrong.dead wrong they went from number 1 to number 3 after the monstrous success of the PS1. Flash forward 10 years or so and $ony is reigning supreme with the PS2 (another great console,possibly the best EVER,but that is debatable) Then comes the PS3.$ony's 3rd console.$ony also thought they could sell a console on name alone.despite coming out 2 YEARS after the 360 they put NO effort at all in PSN.then they take backwards compatibility out so they could put PS2 games on PSN and sell them again,even when people have the exact same game on disc.then the whole PSN fiasco.then failing to tell customers their CC info is in the hands of hackers until a week after it happens.now this nonsense.I will be the first to admit I have very fond memories of all the great games i played on PS1 & 2.but the PS3 is such a disappointment.and could be considered a failure,especially when compared to its predecessors.[RANT OVER] thanks for reading.xD @ adultery-If $ony were smart they would have hired him,to improve their online security,but no they opt to sue him instead.GENIUS! BTW I grabbed a Japanese to English FF 3\6.So much better so far! Its amazing all the good stuff they took out of the US version,and how "Americanized" they made it to not offend all these idiot watchdogs we so unfortunately have here in the USA,who feel its their "duty" to point out things they either dont understand (this is the case 99% of the time) or plain just dont like

I also need to finish MP3 corruption im about 1\2 though. I was thinking of playing it on PS one,in the FF anthology collection.but im rethinking it now and just may grab a translated japanese snes version.wasnt FF 6 in japan released as FF 3 in usa,right?

2.4.2 seems to be working with no issues,I set up adventure vision with it and all is good

Ok it seems to work after updating to 11.83.Im using the black glass theme BTW.ok the original issue was when clicking the dropdown arrow for logo's under emulator setup it was only showing logo's from the default-default folder.my logo's(actually Draco's logo's,or ANY logo's I added myself)were not showing up as a choice.they are now.thanks for the help HK & all!

Im thinking of grabbing a 3DS.it will be first handheld in about 8 years.that ocarina of time 3d just looks to good to pass up or play on a emulator,even with the enhancements available on pj64

right now im finishing up zelda-links awakening on gameboy,and since i got MK 9 for 360 i have been on a retro MK binge.then i was thinking of playing FF 6 again.IMHO,FF6 was the BEST of the older FF's. people will say sephiroth from FF7 was the ultimate bad guy,but he doesnt hold a candle to Kefka sephiroth wanted to destroy the world,kefka actually did it

it is only listing the logo's from default-default.only way i was able to use them was use the old advanced config and type them in.im going to update to 11.83 now and see if its any different

for some reason it seems to be using the logo;s that are in the default-default folder,IDK how,ive never changed it.

Is there a way to change which folder the setup wizard gets the logo's to use for a system.I use the blackglass theme.and I have added amny logo's myself,but when trying to select those logo's they are not there.it looks like it is only listing logo's that are in the default theme folder.I was only able to select my logo's by using the old advanced config utility,because with that you were able to actually type in the name of the logo while with the setup wizard it is a drop down arrow and you are not able to type in your choice. Not really that big of a deal for me,but it may stump some newer users.just a heads up

Wow text adventures huh? sort of like the book of videogames. just a little before my time Though I was on abandonware yesterday,and found some real old computer games i used to play in school.I wonder if GameEX gets along with dosbox...

Im not understanding exactly what your issue is with DAPHNE.It works quite well with GameEX.Let me know if you need any help setting it up,as I have had it set up for quite some time now,and never have any issues with it.I am usually lurking around here......

I think i know what he meant regarding the multiple cobra command entries in DAPHNE,and that was to do with the old advanced config utility,which as we all now know,is no longer used so that issue should be void as well
