  1. Thanks, @scutters This is perfect! Thanks for your work on this
  2. Exactly, so "right" nudge is the same as hitting the right side of the table to nudge the ball left and vice versa?
  3. In the settings, there are buttons for Page/Left Nudge and Page/Right nudge. What is meant by "left" and "right" here? Does left nudge mean it nudges the ball left, in which case it should be assigned a right-sided button? Or, does it mean the literal nudge on the left side, which would nudge the ball to the right?
  4. I'm going to resolve this. I have static logos for now. I'll keep my eyes open or make my own at some point.
  5. The Page Up/Down feature says it goes to the next/previous letter in the alphabet. While this is true, the actual behavior is a bit non-intuitive. When moving forward the behavior is as expected, but when moving backward it isn't. Let's say I am on Bomb Jack and hit PAGE DN. It will bring me to the LAST "A" in the list of games starting with "A". That's not what I would expect. Now I have to continue moving backward to get to games that occur earlier in the alphabet. Can you change the behavior so that paging up/down always goes to the first entry for the letter? Thanks!
  6. What's the story with screensaver audio? I put a track in there which is 10 minutes long. At the end of 10 minutes, the playback stops but screensaver mode is still active. No option to loop the track? If I put multiple tracks in there, will PinballX pick one randomly? How do I get continuous playback while in screensaver mode? Thanks for any help!
  7. Thanks! Just a few more tweaks on the frontend and it should be complete. The rest is just grunt work for the individual games/tables. I'll create a thread in the builders forum soon, as well as a video link to a walkthrough of the build
  8. I tried the transparent image and it works!
  9. I understand the purpose of the wheel, however, my system is only ever going to contain 3-4 systems max, so scrolling through them is not a problem. If the main playfield shows the currently selected system, then I don't really need that huge system logo. If there was an option to keep the logo small, that would be good. Gives more flexibility on cabinet design
  10. Occulus Quest is standalone. I'm sure it won't be the only for much longer
  11. Since I have video screens showing the system, is there any way to get rid of the system overlay? I like having the wheel image so I know whats coming next, but the big overlay image is blocking the display. I was thinking I could define one for the system that is blank? I'm sorry if I am using the wrong term "overlay" here. The attached picture shows what I am talking about. Part of the learning curve in all of this is learning the terminology. Thanks for any help!
  12. I see animated logos for PBX et al, but didn't see one for MAME. I want to put a animated logo on the DMD in attract mode. Anyone know of one? I found a sweet one on Youtube but its 11 years old and no download link.
  13. Got it! I missed the space after the '-'. I also did a search in the documentation for "- system -" and didn't find it. Thank you for your help!
  14. I did, but it wasn't clear. When you say system folder you mean MAME system (for MAME)? I found an earlier thread asking this same question and I did that, but its not playing. I put it in MAME\table videos named "-system-.mp4"
  15. I'm sorry, I thought it would be obvious, but where do these videos go so that they are played when the system is selected? I tried every media folder and looked through the documentation. I didn't see what I was looking for.
  16. The VPUniverse files are perfect!! I just need to rotate them. Thank you!
  17. I want to use a system video for Visual Pinball X and MAME. My plan is to create my own, but wanted to ask the community if you know of any good preexisting system videos for PinballX. I was going to try and make a mosaic of different tables/games in Shotcut or something. If I can save the trouble in the near-term, that would be great! Thanks!
  18. UPDATE: It looks like I won't need to mess with screen orientation at all. I was able to adjust the Visual Pinball table to work in portrait mode without a lot of trouble. Once the base POV setttings are made to allow the table to render, I used the interactive mode to tweak the table to my liking. Problem solved!
  19. @scuttersyup! That did the trick. Thanks! @Mike_da_SpikeThanks for your help as well. Fiddling with that option didn't solve the problem
  20. UPDATE: I went ahead and tried the multimonitortool route and for the most part it was very painless. I simply created a horizontal and vertical config and modified PinbalX settings to load the configs before/after launching Visual Pinball. It's not quite perfect though. When loading Visual Pinball, it switches too soon and you can see the loading screen after switching the orientation. Is there anything I can do about that? If I can fix that one little glitch, it would be a perfect solution!
  21. I've been struggling with the 270 degree rotation that I had set in PinballX. It was working fine for pinball, but gave me problems with MAME. For instance when I try to record MAME gameplay, the video capture looks good, but then PinballX rotates it again on playback and its now oriented wrong. If I set my main monitor to portrait mode and disable all rotations in PinballX, MAME works great and the playback videos are all good. However, when I go back to the pinball side, all the tables are messed up. How can I deal with this in a sane way? Ideally, I'd like to have the option to tell PinballX to rotate my screen based on system selection, but it only has one setting currently. I've heard some people use the load before/after feature to run multimonitortool to change orientation. Is this a viable option?
  22. UPDATE: I set my main display screen to portrait mode and set all the PinballX and MAME rotations off and tried again. This time everything worked as expected. I am nervous though. I've heard that you shouldn't set your main monitor to portrait mode for virtual pinball. I'm going to open a new thread to talk about dealing with screen orientation between MAME/Pinball. This way the conversation doesn't get lost for someone looking for the same info @Mike_da_Spikethanks for your help!
  23. @Mike_da_SpikeOk, so that worked... sorta. I was able to use PinballX to start recording using the Microsoft screen capture. When I play the video back by itself it looks perfect! It's recorded in the exact orientation of the screen at the time. However, once I add it to PinballX, PinballX rotates it so that its upside down! FML
  24. How? In the keyboard inputs section of the settings, it won't let me enter combination keys (CTRL+R) for example. The default hotkey for recording is "v"
  25. I've noticed that whenever I load a MAME game, it takes about 20 seconds for the DMD image to appear. I select a game and choose to play it. I see the loading animation and then it switches to the game display. From that point, it takes 20 seconds or so for the DMD image to appear. Looking at the log, I see: Any ideas?
