    Model 2 problem

I replaced it, and it still does not work. I do notice that there is something additional happening when I start a model 2 game from the mame list, but the cursor is still restricted to a small area of the screen. When you hit escape to return to GameEx, you can briefly see that there is still the "default sized" window of the model 2 emulator still there "behind" the full screen.

    Model 2 problem

Sorry about the repost, but I posted about this a week ago, but didn't receive any replies. Can someone confirm that the same thing is happening to them when they try to run Model 2 games from within GameEX? I am having a real problem playing Model 2 "gun" games. When I play the games outside of GameEX in either windowed or full screen mode, the gun configures and works perfectly. Only when I play inside of GameEX, the gun cursor is limited to what apprears to be the default small window size, even though the screen is full screen. When I move the cursor out of this "window" area, the target changes back to the normal windows cursor. If I click the game screen with this normal cursor, the emu closes and I get a black screen. This only seems to be a problem with the "gun" games, other games seem to work fine. I have tried this with both the new Mame Launch, and the pervious method using the separate au3 files for each game, and have gotten the same results with both while launching from inside of GameEX. It seems like the smaller game window for the model 2 emulator is still running "behind" the full screen for some reason. If you close the emulator, I believe you can briefly see that the small screen is still there. I don't know if this matters, but another thing I have noticed is that only the "left" ALT key + Enter makes the emulator go to full screen, the right ALT key does not work. I am using the most current version of GameEX (5.99), but this problem has been there in every previous release I have tried.
  4. I don't own a SlikStick (yet), but I have seen the option to enable this. If you look in the folder "Program Files\GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS" you will see some ".ini" files. I believe you should copy or create one and name it something like "silkstick.ini". Under the "General" area, make sure the slikstick option is set to "true". Then I believe you need to use the GameEX configuration program, and in each of your emulators options add this file (last page of options for each emu). hope this helps.

    Model 2 Question

Yep, your right tom, thanks alot!
  8. With the new Model 2 launcher, is it possible to NOT hide the cursor for light guns games like House of the Dead? I use a trackball instead of a gun, and it seems like I need to cursor to be able to play. On a side note, does anyone know how to actually start the game Top Skater? How should I set up the controls for this game since it is looking for me to step onto a skateboard? Thanks!
  9. Does anyone have a working config for this great Sega Saturn Emulator that works in conjunction with with Daemon Tools for automatic mounting\unmounting of iso's? Thanks!

    Model 2 Troubles

I was having the same problem too, I could not get the "exe" files to work at all. What I did was use the AutoITv3 scripts (download in the config section), but they selected the wrong game. You need to edit each script with the correct cursor position coordinates based on your monitor font\resolution. There is a script included called "`get mouse postion.au3", which you need to run for each game, note the cursor position, then edit each game au3 script with the new values. Now all the games select and run perfectly. Remember you need to have AutoITv3 installed to use and edit the scripts. I also had a problem with the emulator exiting back to GameEX (I didn't what to have to hit AltF4), so what I also did is add in a advanced emulator ini sending AltF4 when ESC is hit. Now everything runs perfectly smooth. I am running gameEX 5.88 btw, don't know if things are different in 5.92
  12. Thanks for your reply Tom That was exactly my problem. I updated my game list the first time I started up GameEX. Then, I enabled Zinc, but I did not update the game list again. Now everything works perfect, thanks alot!
  13. Hi, thanks for your relpy. I am using zinc 1.1, and mame32 .105 btw Yes I am using the DirectX renderer. I tired deleting my .cfg file, and it still did not work. Yes I am running zinc full screen, and yes zinc works perfectly from the command line. Everytime I try to run any of the zinc games in gameex, mame loads them. Anyone else have any idea of how to fix this?
  14. Hi, I can't seem to get zinc to launch when I select PSX games from MAME. Games tested: G-Darius, Street Fighter EX, Street Fighter EX2, Raystorm, Tekken all the game roms are in my Mame rom folder, and zinc is configured to run them from the mame folder also. This is from my gameex config UseZinc=True ZincEXE=ZiNc.exe ZincPath=d:\zinc ZincOptions=--renderer=.\renderer.znc This is from my gameex log 01:38:57.0 4/16/2006: Initialising Windows Media Player Component 01:38:57.1 4/16/2006: MAME Path is: D:\Mame32 01:38:57.1 4/16/2006: daphne Path is: D:\daphne 01:38:57.1 4/16/2006: daphne EXE file is: Daphne.exe 01:38:57.1 4/16/2006: Use daphne on.
