I have the Daphne emulator set up in my cab. Dragon's Lair functions perfectly within GameEx. Space Ace does not. When I try to play Space Ace I receive error messages from Daphne. When I run Space Ace outside of GameEx the game loads perfectly in the emulator. Please help!
I have configured Chankast (Dreamcast emulator) in GameEx. Unfortunately everytime I select a game to start playing the screen goes black. I hear the game functioning in the background but do not get a picture. It was functioning correctly a few updates ago but now I can't figure out what went wrong. Anyone have any ideas?
I am a fan of the screensaver in GameEx. I love the way it displays all of the games from my favorites menu. The only thing I would like to do is to disable the sound it plays (Ms. Pac-Man sample) upon exiting the screensaver. Does anyone know how to do this?
Many thanks to Tom and everyone else involved in bringing back RedEx! This looks very nice! I will be uploading pictures of my custom cab with GameEx and my Gameroom once I get some nice pics.
I've heard talk about a theme called Redex. It's supposed to be a red version of the BlueEx theme. Will this theme be updated to work with the latest version? Red is one of my favorite colors and I would love to see what it looked like. Does anyone out there have a screenshot?
Actually my six-year-old daughter accidentally figured it out for me. It's the player two coin button and the player two start button pushed at the same time. Thanks for the assist.
I have a SlikStik Classic controller with dual side pinball buttons. I was wondering - is there some way to exit out of MAME32 games using the GameEx front-end? I have tried several button combinations with no effect. I would like not to use the keyboard escape key everytime I want to exit out of a game from MAME32 using the GameEx front-end. Please help!
It's working now! I re-installed GameEX because it crashed for some unknown reason. After I re-installed GameEx and configured the settings the trackball is functioning with no problems! I was able to play missile command without any issues! Thanks for your help guys!
First let me say that the GameEx frontend has got to be the BEST frontend out there! Everything I was looking for in a front end for my arcade cab has been answered with GameEx. There has certainly been a lot of time and effort spent on this application and it definitely shows! Once I tried out the demo I had no qualms about registering! I do have one question that hopefully has a simple solution: Is there any way to disable certain assigned functions for certain keys within GameEX? I have a SlikStik Classic control panel with a trackball. The second button of the trackball (which is assigned to the "L" key on the keyboard) sends me back to the control panel image within GameEX when playing certain games such as missile command. Is there a way to disable this function in GameEX so that I can play games with the trackball and not get sent out of the game mid-play? I greatly appreciate any help I can get with this "issue".
