  1. What version of GameEx are you using?
  2. Nope. I'm gonna have to take that for evidence! Bwa ha ha!
  3. Wow dude, looooong time no see! I had no idea! I figured you just threw in the towel on us! You went through some real crap, but hopefully you rose above it and are here for a while now. I was just wondering the other day what happened to you when a user asked about a wrapper in one of your threads! No matter, it's good to have you back again. A LOT has changed around here!
  4. Nope, that was perfect. Sorry to come off like a prick, just making sure.
  5. Not as much work as you think Drac! You can get LEDs on the net that use all kinds of sockets, and you're really unlimited on what you can do no matter how small the space.
  6. Ahh PHP script. Good times! I'll have to dig around and see what ya got there. Is it GameEx friendly?
  7. Why so dodgy about the question? I mean Tom's protecting his investment (and rightfully so). If you bought a rig and GameEx was included, and Tom doesn't see any profit from the sale, then the person who sold you the cab is pirating (especially if this person uses all the same gx reg keys and sells cabs). We want to help you, but you have to help us too. If you bought the key yourself, awesome. If you bought a used cab from the internet, great! If someone's manufacturing cabs and selling them with a registered copy of GameEx, their taking money out of our pockets and we want to know about it. Just be honest, you're not on trial here bud.
  8. I ought to since I don't run a ton of Windows games (I really only play Bionic Commando Rearmed and SSFIV), but I need to do that for both Windows, PC, and OpenBOR. It would be a nice touch. Kinda hard to do it universally though since names will vary from user to user without some kind of lnk file pack to dl with it.
  9. My Windows games list relies solely on .lnk files. You set it up just like any other emu, except your ROM filter would be *.lnk instead. Another bonus is you can install the game anywhere and keep all your shortcuts in one place. I wouldn't change my setup as far as Windows games go, because this method works perfect for me.

    My Cab

I think it looks good Ian! Reminds me of the ol' NBA Jam cab I once attempted to rebuild... Best thing about having plans for another one is you get better and better at adding details as you go. None the less, awesome work man! I'd plop that bad boy in my gameroom any day!
  11. For #2: Set your PC games up as an emulator instead. If you use the default emu config for Windows PC Games, it uses .lnk files instead of the EXEs, and when run loads the game right away. You can name the lnk file whatever you want it to appear as in the GameEx list.
  12. You have a dremmel tool? Man I want one sooo bad! Always have! Man I would love to use it for projects... *drools*

DJoneK was right on! That was the secret! Make sure you change the INI! You still need mine?
  15. You can actually format large drives in FAT32 using SwissKnife V3 without the need for partitions. I used it to convert an 80GB external HDD for use with my PS3.
  16. Strange, I use CCC and it has never popped up a splash screen on me?

Don't do that just yet mesk. I have this emu working and will post my command line tomorrow (Thursday).
  18. Don't get me wrong, Mich is good beer. I like me Heiniken though! And Spotted Cow is pretty damn tasty!
  19. Cosmetics are good to save until last. Functionality and purpose sometimes demand redesign. Once everything behaves how you like it and you're sure you've done all you want to, then finishing touches and cosmetics come into it. The cab can look nice all day, but if it doesn't play it's a huge box.
  20. Yeah, it's a core 2 for now. I may move the cab up to a quad and use the core 2 in the juke once I finish it off though, and I must say I'm already blown away at how much better Windows 7 looks on it. I got worried for a minute because of xpadder needing to run on Vista, but the awesomeness of compatibility mode fixed that problem for me right away. Even the network and downloading seem to be much faster. It just blows my mind how much better this thing performs with the same CPU and RAM as was in the old board! Here she is, complete with bezel and Windows 7 in case anyone wanted a better photo: ...and a shot of the new mobo:
  21. All in all it took me roughly 25 minutes to get it working. I'm very pleased at how easy it was.
  22. Well here we go... Let's see if this bugger flies straight. I've already had some bad luck today (Windows 7 cost me $115 since I lost the copy my parents gave me when it first released), but everything else is going great so far. This board, SATA HDD, and video card are already running circles around my old equipment. Windows 7 though... I dunno about that one!
  23. So my plan is to copy GameEx's proggy folder over to my new SATA HDD and then install the offline installer to finish the job. Bad idea? Any suggestions on how to approach this?
  24. Ahh must be nice! Light up LED buttons would look sweet on my juke, even though I changed the plan to touchscreen. Did ya work for IGT?
  25. Sure! Let me go get my digital camera right quick. .:EDIT:. It was hard to get a good shot using my kid's Lego camera (LOL I know) but I mislaid the good one. Here's a shot of the installed bezel. I had the star cut out to accommodate the web cam, and I got a piece of yellow foam from the craft store to fill the void around it and keep the lens from bleeding in light from behind the plastic. I think it came out pretty nice.
