  1. Honestly it only keeps about 50 games in the list I think, maybe even 30. It stores the game links in a db and doesn't really get too intrusive. The more games you play frequently will rise to the top and bump out lesser played ones. This feature isn't process consuming so IDK if it needs tweaking (if it ain't broke don't fix it). Tom can chime in on the exact number of games but if you look at people's last played/most played lists on GameEx Live, even the longest running members don't have abnormally long lists.
  2. Ok. So that's a problem with the process watch. Advanced config *should* fix that.
  3. Does it fall back to GameEx or remain stuck?
  4. Instead of using sendkeys you should be able to press ESC manually.
  5. Ahh see you need to have GameEx watch the child process since it's actually launching the launcher exe instead of the game itself. This step is imperative. I'll post my advanced config tomorrow and you can use that instead of trying to make one. Plus it'd be tough for me to explain while I'm at work. I'm also going to have to look closer at your INI and see if there's something I missed. All documented cases of BlazBlue producing the I/O error are based on dual monitor setups. Maybe try mapping keyboard controls to it instead of the joypad, since that's the only other I/O device besides the monitor. You can test TTGM by running it and pressing ESC. If you need to do it this way, you'll have to make an emulator group instead of one emu setup because you nailed it: it will send ESC to every game instead of just TTGM (unless you make a batch file). The major issue here is that I run W7 32-bit and sometimes the issues are OS specific with PC games. I will test further but as I said many of the games you run into trouble with are working great on my rig.
  6. I was just about to ask about this. It's so close to perfect... The way the toolbar comes down from being hidden is cool. I'd hate to sacrifice the real estate that's there by making the media bar permanently stay on the screen. It should hide unless it's moused like regular v4 themes do when hide_toolbar is active. Is that a bug or is that intentional? /me curious
  7. As for BlazBlue: are you using multiple monitors? For TTGM: I have a similar issue launching this game. It gets stuck for me too but if I send ESC while it's stuck it loads. What OS are you using? You added the programs I mentioned to GameEx Advanced Config right? Many you list work fine for me. I haven't tried Otomedius yet, but it's not a Type X game so it may be an issue with the file system itself. That being said, additional program exe's will need to be added to Advanced Config since they're not game.exe or launcher.exe as are the Type X ones. I use xpadder for all these games as opposed to joystick mapping so you may solve some issues there. Tough to say why some of these aren't working for you. It's also true that if you use joypad mapping 8-way controls don't work (sucks for fighting games) so you're better off using xpadder. :Edit: I haven't set up v1.3 yet so it looks like I need to do that and do some more testing.
  8. Unfortunately I am unable to duplicate this issue. What theme are you using?
  9. They call him 'The Fixer'. Movie trailer coming soon!
  10. Like a 'look here first, if not then look here' sort of deal. It'd have to be in the default theme's folder instead of GameEx's install folder then, right? That's where GameEx defaults to AFAIK.
  11. I can't say for sure when it started working. As long as I've used it it always worked. Xpadder can take advantage of rumble too. Everytime I press my 'shift' key my pad rumbles. Games that support it also support rumble. Admittedly I have a Dreamcast and haven't really used a DC emulator to the extent where I can guarantee it works for Jet Grind. I'll have to do some testing. However, Jonathan @ Xpadder is pretty awesome at finding and fixing bugs as they get reported, so I doubt this problem still exists. Libusb is the PS3 controller driver right? Xpadder is a profiler, so you'd still be using the joypad driver so Windows can detect the joypad presses. All the functions that your driver supports should also work with Xpadder. In other words, you can use Xpadder for some emus and not for others if need be. In many cases it works better than the input system for emus (I don't use Xpadder for MAME but that's the only emu so far). You can also easily map a mouse to one of your sticks for games that need a mouse (I play Bejeweled and 7 Wonders a lot, so this is primo IMHO). It's really well worth the $10 for the software. Quite possibly the best $10 I ever spent!
  12. Thanks for the +1s guys! I thought I was going to have to check myself into 'tweakers rehab'! LOL
  13. Ahh thanks Tom. I didn't know this. I typically just map a key to whatever the emu uses to exit. Noted.
  14. I'm not sure what you mean by 'I need axis control and Xpadder doesn't provide it' because it does. You can set any stick to normal mode, 4-way mode, and 8-way mode. I use Xpadder for everything and all my axis controls work just fine... I use it for all the emus you mentioned and no problems. On the other side, I use Xpadder to assign a shift key (say to the home button) which provides another set of controls. If you have to do it this way and you want to press the b key 3 times to get out, Xpadder will map the b key to whatever you assign it to. This means the computer thinks it was a keyboard so it will produce the same results. Just as a side note: The PS3 joypad driver is more of a 'hack' than anything else. This driver is not supported as a legitimate driver, so it's anyone's guess what methods it uses. I ditched using PS3 controllers in the first place because they didn't work exactly the way I wanted.
  15. You're on my list bud. I told my kids to approve ya. I missed you by like 6 mins last night.
  16. Thanks for the quick fix Tom!
  17. It actually makes perfect sense. If that were to happen, bezels should be in there too instead of in the media folder of the GameEx install. Then all these elements would be customizable for each theme. I don't typically rotate themes too often so it works for me either way. It's a good idea though!
  18. Suckubus. Sorry I missed out you guys. Our third shift girl was a sick out and I had to work til 11 CST until my relief arrived. The plight of a family business I guess. It was already midnight EST by the time I got home. Usually I'm home by 9:30 (10:30) but that will be pushing it for me. I hope you guys had fun though.
  19. Ahh so it was related to the RSS scroller! D'oh! Never would have guessed that! LOL 12.03 is out now for those that had problems with their controls.
  20. For most of us (well, me at least but I'm sure others can agree), it feels good to give something back. Tom gives us all so much, that generosity spreads through to the members too. Which is another reason I love it here so much.
  21. No worries. I always share!
  22. Thanks Ian! I'll be making one a little more pimped. I just tossed that together to test. I'm glad you like it though! Bullet Bill + Smudge tool = FTW! LOL
  23. On top of it as always! Thanks Tom! I always feel better when it's a bug. Is that crazy?
  24. So it's only MAME games? Emulators don't lose the joypad?
  25. Don't worry Alpha. I'm sure it will get sorted.
