  1. Well test results are in. I can set the file attribute to 'read only' and the update will skip this file and finish out. At current though GameEx does indeed rewrite this file everytime, so you'd either have to do the read-only thing or copy/paste it everytime. Maybe in the future this will change, IDK. Either way I'm gonna whip something up for this and the stats.png and see how that birdie flies.
  2. I fully understand. However what you're trying to do isn't possible at current, so you're gonna have to put in that feature request I'm afraid. Add reading IDv3 tags to that mix while you're on it. I'll happily +1 this thread... not that I can do anything about it! LOL
  3. The only things that come to mind are: Command line switches. Are you pointing it to the wrong ini somehow? -or- Advanced emulator configs. Is there a config in place that's jacking your mappings? Either way, export and post your emulator ini so we can take a look.
  4. I don't mind at all! In fact it was Greatflash who gave us BlueBox in the first place. I'm actually happy you're getting some mileage from the PSDs! I include them in every project so the stuff I do can be easily blended into your own configs/ideas. These look nice Krak! Good job! I'm actually surprised at how far you've come in such a short time. Looking forward to v3! LOL
  5. That's a shame that it doesn't read IDv3 tags. Also explains why my own mixes and tracks I produced refuse to display the artwork even though I embedded and tagged it by hand. Oh well, maybe in the future. To answer your question, doesn't it 'remember' how you left it when you exit the jukebox? Or does it default to something else? I don't use this feature that often so I never really took note.
  6. Yeah but it's just a pass through right? I mean it's handled by the system not the card itself? My mobo has a header for HDMI, would it be better to use that? I like this card and was thinking of using the same one in an HTPC. Obviously my cab doesn't need HDMI since I judt use the DVI on my monitor, and taking one of my HDTVs off the wall to test is a little crazy. Would it say in the card specs?
  7. Isn't that more RAM than XP can handle anyways? I thought the cap was 4GB, but you're dual booting anyways. Big plus is if you want to beef up your video capabilities later that card supports CrossfireX. You can buy and install a 2nd one (depending on your board of course) and probably cheaper when that time comes. @Drac: my video card runs HDMI natively. How do I know if sound comes over the HDMI or not?
  8. Ok cool, thanks for the update.
  9. I looked at these too when I was building and decided it was a bit out of my range, but I like ATI stuff and I'd be more than happy with that.
  10. I use an ATI HIS with 1gb DDR3 PCIe 2x which works great for me but may be a bit less than what you're looking for.
  11. $350 for just the video card? Really? I would kill for that budget!!
  12. I'd say probably as the 7zip option in GameEx was needed and MESS supports zip, but of course he'll have to confirm this. Especially since they dropped support for the new UI, it might have been the switch was all that needed to be changed.
  13. Maybe Mess doesn't support 7z. But GameEx does!
  14. Wait, I had a good idea? LOL
  15. It almost seems to me like that batch file is written to tell the pgm that there's no drive present if a game's not in. Why couldn't it just tell it the drive's empty instead of removing it? Maybe I'm reading it wrong?
  16. Yikes! Looks like my kids were playing in your front yard! LOL Hope your insurance didn't take a hit.
  17. It's only a temporary workaround though. I have an idea of a different batch file that might be used in this one's place if you wouldn't mind doing some testing.
  18. Do you use two different copies of Fusion? I'd keep them seperate and make the one you use for this a read-only just as a temp workaround until someone can have a sit down and look at the batch file.
  19. Thanks Krakerman!
  20. This can't be done unfortunately because anytime you use a section, that page will show. Like any menu that uses the html or program bak will use what's already linked to it. Could be a feature request though!
  21. Color me embarassed and (I guess) out of the loop! I thought you were using MS Paint! LOL
  22. If you can do these in Paint, you can probably amaze yourself just on what you already know about/can do in GIMP! You can be crankin stuff out like a wild man! Only difference is there you can play with different effects and pimpin stuff really easy. Plus it's free! Once the idea's in there, it's easy to shake it loose. It's really not as intimidating as folks say it is. I promise! I mean if that's what you do in Paint, I bet you'll rock it!
  23. I wasn't trying to make ya feel bad, just telling a story. The internet sucks sometimes because you might miss the mood it was told in. My ranting is never directed at anyone in particular, which is why I added in the good ol' /rant tag. That's just what it is. Promise. Nothin' but love for the GameEx gang! +3 shots of Jag, bartender!!
  24. +1 for B. Let me tell you a story... You may or may not know I run a repair business from my house for extra cash. Everyone around here knows I take pride in my work and charge about half of what other similar shops charge around here and typically finish jobs overnight. Enough people use my services that I've been asked to appear in court twice as an expert witness. Word spreads fast enough around here that plenty of people use my services and talk highly of the work I do. Enter Gretchen. I've been telling her for years she needs to do a backup and get a new computer (still on Windows 98 even). She doesn't. Last week her HDD finally gives up and stops spinning. I tell her she's SOL unless she pays a recovery service to get her data back after running some diagnostics. Then she calls me the next day and says her IT guy at work says the data may be able to be recovered, but she'd better get it back before someone "who's screwing around and obviously doesn't know what the hell they're doing" makes it impossible to save anything. I hope he has fun with a HDD that doesn't even spin anymore and won't be recovered with crappy software. Needless to say I won't be taking her calls anymore, and she can shove her 12+ y/o computer up her... you get the point. What I'm saying is people work hard around here for nothing more than to help people, and the only pay we get is the occasional thanks. However, a comment like that kinda wipes out the last 20 positive comments we got. Remember that not everyone here has time to iron out all the most obscure problems on your schedule. Thanks for telling us how you fixed it for future users, just be a little compassionate to those who do a job for free for the benefiit of others. /end rant
  25. Hey. Just a quick question for ya: GameEx sometimes installs to C:/GameEx and to C:/Program Files/GameEx ... did you check both of these locations? Also you can get your "Last Played" tag from www.gameex.com. Just click Live in the nav bar and "Get A Gamertag" is the third or fourth option down. :EDIT: Beat ya by a few seconds Han! LOL
