Id probably use AutoHotKey for that to be honest.

I was thinking of just doing a simple MsgBox that will run GameEx.exe if the timer elapses or abort if cancel is pressed as opposed to doing a plugin. A simple exe as Drac suggested should really only be needed... I can get GameEx's path from the registry. I may add a timer setting later but thought 30 seconds would do the trick.

What I do (and someone may have a better way) is keep 2 EXEs configured seperately, and seperate the games into two different folders depending on the controller config (although I use a map file and keep my games in the same directory). Then I add both to a group within GameEx so they're both in the same list.

Bigby's workaround works, but it'll fubar your game info screen unless you change its label using custom labels. Its a lot of work and the changes are universal across all emulators so you'd have to change them all and not all emulators will look right. If a professional look is what you're after its a far from ideal solution.

There's no real way to do what you're trying to do at present, sorry.

The issue with this is that the game would have to be re-launched since disabled sound is in the MAME command line.

Its because you have MAME set up as an emulator (emulator 1 to be exact) instead of taking advantage of integrated MAME support that GameEx provides. You need to start there... you're missing out on lots of great features. Open Setup Wizard, go to MAME Options, and set the options. You may also want to do some tweaking in Advanced MAME Settings.

A GameEx log would be a good thing.

Humor me and put a copy in the MEDIA folder, and make sure your bezel.lay file is in the BEZELv2 folder. I have my bezel in both folders but I'm fairly sure the one you're using goes in the MEDIA folder.

I think they go in the MEDIA folder and not the Bezelv2 folder.

Sorry I missed this topic... You can easily compile your own version of MAME to do this.

No he really is. I mean were very close (our families get along great and hang out a lot) so I get to hear about things before the public does, always get law insight, and I get to ride at high rates of speed in the front seat of a souped up Dodge Charger. If I ever call a cop they seem to get here a lot faster too! A couple weeks ago I stymied their tech department by jailbreaking his iPad just to show how easy it was. Blew their minds and that was fun! I can't lie. There's definitely perks. My wife just got a BS in Criminal Justice so she's persuing a career as a probation officer. I guess were a law family. Lol!

Damn you have a beefy system in it though... I'm on half that (4 GB RAM) and a Core 2 Duo E7500. I was hoping it wouldn't be so laborious on the CPU (my board can be upgraded to 8 GB RAM). I could upgrade the CPU but not sure it's worth it when I could just redo the whole board and get something better (which isn't in the budget).

I think it does bring notable increases on low end PCs due to speed hacks, but like null I use MAME and it works fine for me.
