  1. Lemmie get up on that sucker. I can pad my spot on the overall a bit since no one's playing. Losers! Score: 34,340
  2. You and me both! Hopefully I won't have to wait 30 years like I did for a cab.
  3. Ohh nice! Great work as usual big guy! Mostly open source?
  4. If I was thinking of cheating, most emulators have game genie/pro action replay/hex editor support, so I can't see myself using a key combo. Unless it was for, say, a Mortal Kombat fatality or Street Fighter combo or something.
  5. Yeah it was a type-o in the xml. I'll fix it when I get done watching Orange Is The New Black. So again, I can assume it's working for you now, as you reported a bug earlier? I tried on the three machines I have GameEx installed on and didn't hit any snags with loading the app. I download and installed all the plugins as well without error. I did take note of the incorrect version number though as I mentioned.
  6. Where, in the plugin description window? Probably a type-o in the xml. I rebuilt all my projects before I put this out to ensure they're the latest builds. Does that mean you got it to work then?
  7. Huh. You obviously didn't do your research if you think I know nothing about programming. If the solution is that simple, why not just parse and remove any incompatible images yourself with your own code? To be honest and fair, I get what you're saying. I didn't say you need to validate every image combination, but do you not agree that it takes calculations away from the cpu to check every image as it gets displayed? Or worse yet, cause a lag when navigating? I've been using PBX's sister program GameEx for a long time. I'm sure they use similar code for rendering. I have never had to assist anyone with any such problem. You're suggesting a check be put in place for a one in a million error. That aside, yes, you did report the bug. I know Tom real well, and I'm sure he's got a really sensible reason why he can't trap this exception or he would. Or he would probably log out the exception thrown as opposed to crashing out. A MsgBox would steal the programs focus since its a dialog window, I can only imagine how well that would go over. Or even closing gracefully, there would still be users who can't figure out why it's closing itself every time it gets to Pinbot in the list. And they still won't post a log when they report it. I'm sorry that I don't "understand" how these things "work", but if it were me I would just do "something" on my own that would validate all my images, and then put it out for the whole community to use... It wouldn't take long at all to do program something to try a conversion attempt on all your images and delete the ones that throw an exception, and would really make it easier to help guarantee the crashing stops. No offense, but I still think validating every image as it "goes by" is still a waste of cpu cycles when the user could pretty much discern the image at fault by when the crash comes, much like you did on your setup.
  8. This plugin only uses framework 2.0, so no idea why that would be. Probably just an issue with the splash screen, nbd. I will just remove it. As for your 2nd post, the crash before caused that, delete Plugin.zip and I'll fix that one right away.
  9. @Gimme: Yeah, don't you remember what you said in the Hi-Score Snapper thread? It was the inspiration for this application. @null: Ideally it will be for all plugins, regardless of who made them... If anyone else makes some that is. Lol!
  10. Your wish is my command! http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000X25GWW
  11. Not even for a bar top?
  12. That's a tough decision? The answer is to put a weight lifting simulator on your cabinet. Problem solved!
  13. Yeah the original tapatalk switched over last week to the "optimized" version, forcing me to accept the change.
  14. I'm not a huge fan. It looks a little bit nicer, but the layout is really a huge departure from what I'm used to. I was already semi prepared for it because I used the beta, but it kind of displeased me that they forced it on us in the last update. Anyone else using it? What are your thoughts?
  15. No it's in the MAME categories menu when you run GameEx, all the way at the bottom.
  16. Download plugins? No... You set them up from there. This downloads and installs them, not all my plugins are in GameEx and the ones that are aren't always current.
  17. Imagine the memory and the amount of time we're talking here to validate every last user image in pbx... :/
  18. Thanks brother! This was a suggestion from GimmeClassics that I ran with. Hopefully it serves everyone well.
  19. DracLabs Plugin Downloader 1.0.2 What is it? It's an application to browse, download, and install all of my plugins using one handy interface. All you need is GameEx and an internet connection. I plan for this to support all plugins, not just mine... but for the time being no one else has made one, so it's all DracLabs content... Hopefully one day that will change. How do I use it? Launch the EXE. Browse to the GameEx executable using the [...] button. Select the plugin you wish to install from the drop down list, click the button, and viola! You did it! There's a news blotter at the top so you can always stay up on the latest releases. Where can I download it? You can get it from the GameEx Community Download Portal, or from Direct Download @ DracLabs Changelog
  20. You should sleep late Drac, it's much easier on your constitution. Fantastic work as always!
  21. Very cool! Congrats buddy! :-) Having been through turbulence on a small plane, keep those drinks flowing! :-) Put $5 on black for me when you go by a low stakes roulette table!
  22. I get around the exact problem you describe by using Xpadder and compiling mame to accept direct input using headkaze's compiler.
  23. It's nice to be appreciated. :-) I don't mind pitching in at all. Especially for such a noble cause.
  24. Well it's necessary because hooking d3d is really hard. Copying a snap that mame took defeats the purpose of the plugin, keeping everything legitimate and keeping the end user out of the process. I would also have to do a low level input hook to even detect the button press, and what if someone changes mame's output path? It's just not as easy as you make it sound. What I don't understand is why it's such a big deal that the tab menu is a little different. And if it is a huge deal, just don't use the plugin when you configure your game. Or option two, just don't use it.
  25. Ahh of course. That's where a log would have come in handy...
