    You can talk to people about stuff, just be careful when you're saying things like "I downloaded these ROMs from xxx place" or "I used this game I got at xxx site" our linking to any of the places or web sites that have any kind of ROMs on them. You will be okay, just don't mention those things. In the meantime, let's hear your next question. :-)

    You would have to go system by system and point the Rom folder to the download service gui.

    You just answered your own question. You need the CHD files for them to work if the ROMs you want to run requires them. You might want to Google that. ;-)

    What game is right after Carnevil? Did you try adding that to the filter list to see if it's that particular rom that's the problem?

    Also did you try using a vanilla build? The 32x build? Just for troubleshooting purposes? Maybe it can be isolated to that particular build and or compile/modification.

    If I had the same issue I could help but all my games are here. I verify all my sets and update all my support files when I update my mame exe and my rom sets. I have a feeling either you are unable to verify a particular game and it's crashing the updater out our something is corrupted somewhere, be it a list in your GameEx directory or a chd or rom file

    GameEx sounds don't support mp3, only wav AFAIK.

    I think there's a trick to this but I'll be damned if I can remember what it is... it had something to do with the nullDC config file.

    According to your INI you have disabled it. :'( Change the following entry in Setup Wizard > Enable/Disable Features: Then do it.

    When you select your MAME emulator in GameEx, on the categories page (spinner games, golden age, last played MAME game, etc), at the bottom of the list, there is an item that says "Update MAME List" or something to that effect.

    Have you tried updating the game list?

    Didn't you notice in my sig it shows my uptime and what game I was playing last? You can get a gamertag for your rig at gameex.com

    Sure as long as they're both reporting from the same ip address. I use the same key on two different machines, but the gamertag only shows for one if them. If you were to sell it or give it to someone you should get a new key. Nice job on that by the way. :-)

    Just go through and fill in the blanks, skip the importing part. It's pretty chit and dried actually. Select a blank emulator and complete as many fields as you can. I can probably shoot you an ini for 4DO when I get home, but it's really not difficult at all.

    Thanks Drac! Believe me, if there was a way I could make the plugin work under external apps, I would happily do that. Unfortunately there's no way to know what app is being launched. :'( The launch before/after/also settings in GameEx are temperamental, which is why I put out the QuickLaunch plugin to not only modify but expand the abilities of that feature.

    I can't stop singing the praises of two screens on a cab, I put a 720p monitor in the cpanel of mine since I use xbox controllers and the only other thing on the cpanel is the trackball, and I think it looks fabulous. I might try pinball on it using this for the dmd and see what I can come up with. I'm pretty excited to see new code to play with, kinda gives me a reason to get off my ass and try it out.
