Ahh my fault. I enabled muting for the global command override, but not for the emulator override. A mere oversight on my part. Try this one for me, I bet it'll work. Please submit your log whether it works or not after you try it. Thanks again!

The GameEx port has been updated to 1.0.4! I had an issue where GameEx wouldn't load my Display Fusion profile when it exited, leaving my desktop black. Since I have the pro version, I can load wallpaper profiles via command line. Then it occured to me that this plugin doesn't allow for launching commands when GameEx starts and exits, so I went ahead and coded that in. It should be noted that "Launch Before" and "Also Launch" both happen when the plugin is initialized, so there's no real difference in how these two behave. You can download it from the first post, or get it from my Plugin Downloader software. Thanks for using this! Let me know if there's anything else I can add to make it fit your needs.

This has to be either theme related, or more specifically, a file within your theme. Could be one of your images is corrupt or missing, or in an unsupported format. I need the whole log to further investigate, so please post it in its entirety.

If this version doesn't work, please do me a favor and zip up your GameEx.ini and your settings.xml for the plugin so I can try to reproduce the error.

Do you use steam on your rig? Or GAMEBASE? I think I know what's happening here.

Try the new version I posted. This release has the option for Debug Mode logging under HELP in the tool strip, so please manually select that option and attach the contents of the MameCommander.log when submitting a bug report. Thanks again for testing!

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. Now the question is why is it doing that? I have a feeling it's got something to do with the GameEx ini. Hold on a bit, I'll look at that routine.

Hi, I made the code look at your GameEx options when launching a game and append the no sound command if the screensaver is running. Can you post the log in the mame commander folder after the game runs please?

Could I get you to try this one and tell me what happens? I added an exception catch to show the error it's having, which will be much more helpful in pinpointing it. If anyone is having this error also, please download and try beta 4 in the link above.

There are two empty settings tags there at the end of the main xml. Can you delete them? <settings /> Save the xml and run it again after that.

You don't have a themes folder in there either? Can you post the settings file then please? Give me something here... LOL!

A log would be helpful... With nothing to go on, I have nothing to go on. It's the reason I specifically ask for the log right next to the download link for the beta builds. Does it crash with the stable build?

If you had previous settings, move the xml out of the "Game Info" folder and try setting it up from scratch again. I don't have any crashes at all on any of my machines when starting from scratch. You are configuring it and not just trying to run it without setting it up, right? PS: That is neither a complete crash log, or a Game Info log, so it doesn't tell me anything.
