Yeah I can see how that can help lol. I'm kinda bummed I don't have a set of sticks for real arcade action. I can't even get my controller to work on my GameEx computer because my keyboard crapped out. I rare use the keyboard since I'm always connecting to that system through Remote Desktop. The only system I have running right now is my NESPi I built. Gotta use an Xbox360 controller. Works, but it's not the same. Updated OP, DB, RSS

We decided to not to bulk erase his scores system wide all at once. There are so many games, it would require a lot of work. Instead, we erased his name from the database and update the forum threads and tables as new scores are submitted. Updated OP, DB, RSS

It's preferred that you use GameEx. Or at least support the community.

I dunno, I didn't want to overstep my boundaries as a backup moderator. GC created that thread, and it's a heck of a lot better than mine. And in fact, this one was created to help organize the list alphabetically with numbers so I could use it to create a new contest for us to replay featured games. Since development for creating that contest stagnated with the drop out of Adultery, I don't even know if having this list is even necessary. I dunno, I think I'll keep it for the time being.

The problem was, the guy heard about our friendly contest and thought he could bully his way to the top without even understanding the basic foundation of which the contest was originally established. It was never about being the best. It was about sharing your pride in displaying your achievement and seeing how you compare against others. There was never any plans for rewards, prizes, gifts, etc. You get NOTHING out of participating here. But he felt it was his duty to come in, non-supporting, and shatter all of our scores with unbeatable submissions. It went against everything we had planned. I'm glad he's gone. We have no room for guys like that here. We're all family here, and he was the noisy neighbor who plays their music so loud you wanna call the cops on.

Here's my late entry. I worked out my controller problem and got a decent enough go. It's not 1st place material, but I'm not really in it for the competition, just to best my own scores. I hope to have some more free time soon to have another go at it. Score: 29,400 Level: 3 Initials: HAN I had to take the picture with my phone, the keyboard on my GameEx PC stopped working and I had no way to press F12 for the MAME screengrab. Updated OP, DB, RSS

That's why I bought a book of 20 Forever stamps 2 years ago. I rarely mail stuff, so it was a good investment. They still work, and their value is matched by whatever the current going price is. Now that I think about it though, you probably can't even buy regular stamps anymore, they're probably all Forever now.

I'm running an outdated system. But I'm not going to worry about it. Just like this huge snow storm to come at me this weekend. It is what it is.

Agreed. I just recently dropped +$500 on a Xeon CPU for my server for similar reasons. Encoding videos, and streaming takes a CPU hit, and typically only allows one active process at a time. And even with this awesome chip, I'm still hitting 100% CPU usage quite frequently. Gonna suck if the speed drops too significantly.. this is the top of the line, best CPU I can get for this motherboard. That's the other kicker. Upgrading the CPU once they fix the problem at the hardware level WILL require you to upgrade the motherboard too, which includes upgrading RAM also. Gonna suck all around.

I'm seriously going to make a conscious effort to try and play this game this time. I wonder if submissions might pick up if the moderator of the group makes an attempt to post scores too. I mean, if I was a new guy here, and I saw lots of games, but the moderator not even participating, I'd probably 2nd guess posting an attempt to. @rtkiii - Thanks for your submission, even if you feel it's small. This was the 2nd game I ever bought on my own for Sega Master System. The first was Lord of the Sword. Master System wasn't that big around my area, so when we got one for Christmas one year from our Grandma (who got it at a garage sale), finding games was kinda hard. None of the video game stores around had anything, and the only one that did was a Meijer store, and their selection was slim pickings at best. Given our age, Mom wouldn't let us the games we WANTED, like Ninja Gaiden. So I had to settle on an RPG and a space game. Good times though. I never played the original arcade (or MAME) that it was ported from. So hopefully this will get added to a poll soon and voted on!

I especially like the idea that CERT (a company directly funded by Homeland Security) posted a statement saying the only way to fix it was to get a new CPU, then later removing it saying all CPUs have the same problem so buying a new one won't fix the problem. Then they're worried that the public might start demanding replacements. Seems like there's more going on here. Like somebody is trying to put a fear out to the public even though there is no way to fix it. And OS speeds dropping, that's just BS. They'll have to sell those faster processors at the same price as the current ones and just re-market them as a slower speed.
