  1. Oh good catch! I was looking at the screenshot, and thought 174,840 was his submission Fixed now! Updated OP, DB, RSS
  2. Nice update! And I like your TV setup. Is that just a mood color splash, or is it reactive to the scene? I've seen some videos of the reactive type, looks pretty cool. Might be something I'll consider doing when (if) I have my own place. Updated OP, DB, RSS PS, I decided to not be a douche and say your initials don't count.
  3. Sorry I didn't see these posted yesterday. I think my cookie for GameEx's Forums expired and I lost the setting for the forum's theme. It's back to this dark theme, which is very hard to see updated threads (done in bold) and update OP messages (the "source" option goes to grey and white [shrug]). I see them now, so here we go! Updated OP, DB, RSS
  4. Always great to see an old game updated with a new score. It's even better when you're besting your previous submission. And you moved up 2 places too! Awesome! Updated OP, DB, RSS
  5. In-game screenshots are best. You can even configure MAME to stretch the image to make it bigger. The only thing I've not been able to figure out is how to to have a screenshot of just the game, and not all the extra stuff like side art around the screen. There are 2 ways to do this. One is through MAME (see here), and the other is by using a tool written by Adultery (see here). If neither of those fits your fancy, you can also use an offsite file host to post your picture at, then just link to it here. I prefer imgur.com right now, as it doesn't have limitations based on bandwidth or potential longevity issues.
  6. I don't want to spend money to go see it. If I can talk my brother into paying for it (unlikely) or I can convince a girl to go see it with me (again unlikely), I'll go. But otherwise, I just don't care. I'll probably buy it when it's home released, watch it, then regret not seeing it in the theater. Still, I dunno.
  7. I wonder if the "black background" screenshots were taken at a different time? Like, instead of taking it right after entering initials, they took it after the attract mode cycled back to the in-game score board. That's about the only thing I can think of. @Floyd Turbo - Can you maybe just post a higher resolution version of your screenshot so I can see the score? It's just really hard to read it it. I want to go ahead and accept your score, but unless I can read it, I don't want to be unfair to everybody else and take your word for it. Updated OP, DB RSS
  8. Unless @GimmeClassics can read that score, and confirm it, I'm gonna have to rule this entry invalid. Sorry, I just want to be fair. That background doesn't match any other posted scores, where it's black with the title on the screen. I'm not calling you out or anything, I'm sure it's legit. It's just questionable you know? And I can't even read the score.
  9. It's not a bad start! Updated OP You're already on the Top Ten Leaderboard! I did fix the spacing and banner art though!
  10. Does the power and reset switches work with that case? I'm probably going to be building another RetroPie soon, not sure what case I want to put it in. I want to build something for my brother. I initially built a Sega Genesis USB hub for him, but he didn't like how "tacky" it looked. He's still impressed with my NES build, but I don't think I have he time and patience to make him one. As for analog, there is a setting in the RetroArch control settings under the running core. It's not something I've tried setting up automatically, but you can toggle it as needed, and could probably save it as a core/game override.
  11. The cheevo pop-up is on the agenda. There's a bounty out for it too. It'll come eventually. But yea, I got FBA working. The problem I originally was having was due to having the wrong version of RetroArch. I had the right core and settings, but the updated RetroArch was giving me problems with the controller mapping. Apparently I wasn't the only one, and it's been patched out. So NDS is next up huh? Gonna have to figure out how to make that work now. I don't even have NDS on my GameEx setup, so that'll be something interesting to play with.
  12. Are they really $99? Wow. I preordered mine and thought I only paid like $60. I only have 1 too. I've not even bothered to install/set it up yet. Been too busy playing with my Xbox controller to care. That, and trying to add new stuff to my build, like FBA for cheevos, and fixing my multi-disc PSX games.
  13. Awesome. Updated OP, DB, RSS
  14. You suck. I'm jealous. Exed won't let you have that 1st place for long lol. Updated OP, DB, RSS
  15. Wow nice job! Any tactics you care to share? Updated OP, DB, RSS
  16. Leave it to CYN to post a killer first post score. Way to go buddy! Updated OP, DB, RSS
  17. I've tried playing this a few times, and I can already tell I suck. If I can't make it past the built-in 40k high score, I don't want to even post it here. Updated OP, DB, RSS
  18. I've been too busy with work and stuff to even get a power cable yet. Today is supposed to be my day off, but I still have to go in to work today because nobody is scheduled to write the order for tomorrow's truck. There's something every day...
  19. I love the Force Feedback. It's not just a rumble, but literally fights you some times. I just wish I could get something like that in a steering wheel to play on Xbox/etc. I've looked into it, and PlayStation has one for ++ $k. I just don't have that kind of money to drop for a force feedback wheel. Not to mention I don't have a PS4 or anything. When I get another day off, I'm gonna have to search around and see if I can find the drivers and stuff to reinstall my stick.
  20. Yeah sorry, that's partially my fault. I was in a hurry to get this posted because I was a day late. Didn't realize I forgot to color code the settings. Then I had to leave to take my dad over to the dealer to pick up his car that was getting fixed. Did I mention I got a new car? 2018 Ford Focus SEL. Really nice, I like it. And now I don't have to rely on them for transportation to work. Updated OP, DB, RSS
  21. Thanks for the heads up! I just bought it. I remember when it first came out, it was being demo'd at MicroCenter with a Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick. I was instantly impressed and bought it then, along with the joystick. Got a lot of great game play out of it. Then, sadly, we had the fire. I saved the joystick and USB cable for it, but I forgot it required a separate power source and didn't save the cord. So now I've got the joystick stuffed away in my closet never being used. I suppose now's as good a time as any to try and find a replacement cord and clean up the stick for use again.
  22. Xevious (ゼビウス Zebiusu)[1] is a Vertically scrolling shooter that was released by Namco in arcades in December 1982.[2] It runs on Namco Galaga hardware, and was designed by Masanobu Endō (who later created The Tower of Druaga). In North America, the game was manufactured and distributed by Atari, Inc. Xevious tells the story of the fight between humankind and the biocomputer GAMP, which controls the alien forces of planet Xevious. It turns out that the Xevious inhabitants are originally from Earth, and GAMP (General Artificial Matrix Producer) is the product of an ancient civilization that prospered on earth a hundred thousand years ago. During this golden age, the Gamps were human clones used in heavy labor, until they rebelled against their own creators. In order to survive the upcoming Ice Age, they planned to leave earth and migrate in search of a new homeland. They finally selected seven planets that were likely suitable to human life.[3] Right before the departure, a group of humans rebelled and decided to stay on the earth anyway. It is from here that a thousand years after the leaving of the Gamps, the brave pilot Mu and his android companion Eve decided to travel to Xevious (literally, the fourth planet) to avoid glaciation. They would not receive a warm welcome from their ancestors, though: captured and imprisoned, they discovered that the Xevians were actually planning a massive comeback on the Earth.[3] Fast forward to our days: all above the Earth's surface, and near the ancient civilization remains, giant artifacts suddenly emerge from the soil and activate: they are SOL towers, buried underground and inactive for eons, now responding to GAMP's orders. The invasion has begun: it is now that, with perfect timing, Mu, Eve, and Mio Veetha, a Xevian who opposes the Gamp's regime and freed our duo from imprisonment, are back on the Earth on their Solvalou ship and ready to fight Gamp's army. Meanwhile, archaeologists Susan Meyer and Akira Sayaka discovered that the Nazca lines could be hiding an ancient weapon that may be used to counterattack Gamp's army.[3] --Quote from Wikipedia
