  1. If you look at my screenshot I posted, the rar file called "0- Complete Games -0.rar" contains 13 full games, totally taking up 2gb while still compressed. These are nice, but I'd like to tackle building "the ultimate..." you know?
  2. Global Play Last Game.. available on the Start Page.
  3. Sounds like a new feature request. Global Play Last Game.. available on the Start Page.
  4. I'm pretty sure you don't need anything but the remote to use it. The Microsoft Media Center remote comes with a USB receiver and IR.Transmitter cable to connect to your cable box. Out of the box though, Windows should detect the remote and work right away.
  5. I tempted my fate and did the automatic update. It seemed to go through fine for me. I haven't done a lot of major testing or let it run for hours on end though, so I may be speaking to soon. Looks good right now though. Heh, that DigDug plugin is annoying!!!

Sweet. I've been trying to get my romset complete and they keep adding new ones everyday! The last one on your list is like 50 behind now. I'm just needing to leech the boxart though. Hopefully they'll get that new version of NDScrc uploaded that will feature boxart for GBA too. Thanks man.

Hey NL.. any chance of getting you to make an updated "long.txt" for the GBA leech? Or can you maybe help me with a script to build my own long.txt so I can get it updated when a new one comes out? I'm only needing it until the guy over at the other website updates the NDScrc program to include box art for GBA.
  8. We could get somebody with mad programming skills to write up a quick little app that goes and builds the configs automatically... I wonder why nobody's done this yet? I did a little bit of snooping around, and I think I get the gist of it. It looks like you just gotta put the things in their respective folders, edit the config file and type out the "path/filename" of everything your including. Just write a program that pulls the file list, and adds the lines to the config for you. Shouldn't be that hard.....
  9. I downloaded a torrent from UG (I won't write the URL for legal issues...) that was called "MahnaMahna's Mega Mugen Multipack.torrent". Inside that, after downloading, I have a directory structure like this:
  10. Glad I could help.
  11. Could somebody explain to me how to set MUGEN up? I downloaded a torrent from a site but have no idea where to start.
  12. This is more-or-less a MAME related question, not necessarily something for GameEx. BUT, I think I can help ya. Make sure you have MAME configured with the MOUSE enabled. I think it's off by default. Just look in the options and you'll find it. Once you have it checked to be enabled, you have to press the 'TAB' key while in a game. Then you can go into your player control options and configure it. You can specify if you want it to go left/right, up/down, and even reverse the control if it's backwards.
  13. Boooooyah! Am I the master or what?! HAHAH!! J/K I'm glad that worked out for ya. Heads up to everybody else!
  14. There are other files too. You mentioned MP3, there are also MID files. They are all "extras" for background music. Some tables have them, and actually require a plugin to be installed to get them to work. If you decide you want to include them, I think they just go into the /music folder. I won't swear by that though because I don't have my gaming rig here right now to tell you for certain. You may also come across txt files that are also scripts. I just put those into the script folder with the rest of them. I've not installed the program yet because, again, I'm not at the rig right now... But if you haven't done so, you might consider moving out the documentations too. Some of them are simple graphics that GameEx could display if somebody properly configured their setup. Others are things like rules that are helpful for die-hard pinball fans (like myself) who are after playing the game fully rather than just batting a ball around.
  15. Just throwing out a possibility, may or may not work.... It sounds like your videos you're encoding are being ran in PAL format. 1280x800 sounds more like NTSC. Perhaps this is where your problem lies. Try encoding at 720x480 rather than 720x576.... I've never read anything about GameEx requiring videos to be in NTSC format, but this may be the case. If it is, it's something everybody can benefit from knowing. I know that from personal experience, NTSC videos work fine for me in GameEx. I've never tried PAL, but that 526 is PAL format. Give it a try.
  16. Of that list, I would recommend Vectrex and WonderSwan... you might also consider adding in the Nintendo Virtual Boy if you want to include EVERYTHING...
  17. Sounds like a much needed app. Perhaps when you have it fully functioning, you could rename it to something more directly related. Like VPExtracter or something rather than Pleasure.
  18. I have one of these remotes too, although I don't use it. It works by RF connecting to a usb dongle. It's not infrared.
  19. Not exactly matching your discription, but is it maybe Trailblazer on Atari? More pictures and info here.
  20. You're missing bunches!!! Atari 400 Atari 800 MSX2 Tangerine Oric Thomson MO5 Tiger Game.com Watera SuperVision Bandai WonderSwan Channel F ColecoVision General Computer Vectrex Miles Gordon Sam Coupe NeoGeo Pocket (Previously Mentioned) Bally Astrocade Creatronic Mega Duck & Cougar Boy VTech CreatiVision Future Pinball
  21. Just another hint.... if you're using zip files, and goodmerge, they won't show up in your lists. GameEx is programmed to only look for 7z files when you use goodmerge. If you sets aren't in 7zip format, but are zipped, you can "trick" GameEx into thinking they're 7z's by simply renaming them all to 7z. The best way is to go to a command prompt, browse to the directory, and type: rename *.zip *.7z Here's another quickie... any artwork also works in the same way. It seems that for Cartridge and Box artwork, the required format is JPG and for Screenshots and Title Shots, the required format is PNG. So if they're not in this format, just rename them to PNG or JPG as needed, and then GameEx will be able to find and display them.
  22. I don't think this would be possible. LIRC is for Linux, whereas GameEx is for Windows... Could be wrong though. "WinLIRC" looks like it's for Windows....
  23. MOV is a Quicktime movie file. I've not seen any codecs to allow Media Player to play these. Media Player Classic "might" be able to, but I don't know for sure. If it can, just run that.
  24. All I know is that people have been reporting issues once they update. It works ok, then they update, and stuff starts breaking. Reinstalling from a web download always seems to fix these issues, so I just do a direct download. I'm glad you didn't know about it though, since it's always nice as a developer to find new problems to fix. Of course, you also DON'T like hearing about problems, because you have to fix them too hehehe. But in the long run, when something gets fixed, it's a good thing. Keep up the great work!
