  1. Wow wish I could afford, pinball is my favorite of all arcade games, and ProPinball was a great platform. Can't wait to see what they churn out.
  2. Cool, can't wait to set it up and try it out on my system.
  3. Good idea, not that everybody can benefit from it. I think the flood control is actually implemented quite well, I don't mind waiting a bit to search again when I need to, which isn't very often.

    Hello

Welcome to the family, enjoy your stay!
  5. Happy Birthday GameEx! It's been a good 8 years, here's to another 8!
  6. I think the spinball art is low quality compared to the other sonic games, but overall I like it.
  7. Well now you got us curious, whats up with the double Dr. Mario?
  8. I'd just like to know who that brunette was at the start of the Rio intro. She's mega hot! Also, Pele was pretty cool, kinda like seeing Muhammad Ali. I just hope that for the 2016 opening they don't have Tiger Woods show up because golf is coming back to the olympics.
  9. Yeah, I guess the big thing was that the Spice Girls ARE like really popular in England, and that it was their reunion since 2008 or something. I agree though, didn't NEED to have them there. Same with people like Jessie J. Sure she's hot, but she kinda ruined Queen's song in my opinion. I would have liked to see more stuff like Rolling Stones instead of rappers. And sure, its the 21st century, but I don't wanna see all these athletes sporting smartphones, tablets, etc when they're not working and yet can afford all this nice stuff on sponsorship; it sends the wrong image of what athletes are doing.
  10. Just throwing this out there... did anybody catch the closing ceremony? My favorite part was Brian May from Queen doing his like 5 minute intro riff to We Will Rock You. And to top it off, he's a fricken Astrophysist!
  11. Dude this is so real too. I work in a grocery store deli and I see stuff like that ALL THE TIME... I wanna just go out there and slap the parents for letting their kids get away with that with not even yelling at them. Unreal. Wow, so you lost your laptop and got it back and Dell says you can still keep the old one?! Why don't I just go steal my brother's then give it back after he calls them up, then when he gets his new one he can give it to me. Lol, free laptops all around! Still, cool that everything is coming to a half way happy close.
  12. When I was that age, I got caught steeling from a bookstore. For punishment, they made me pay back 3X the value of the stolen goods. They also filed charges where I had to go to court. Since I was underage, it was a petty misdemeanor, but nevertheless there was a criminal spot on my record. By agreeing to say I was guilty, I was let off with a warning, but had to prove I was mature enough to get a job and hold that job full-time for 6 months. They subsequently erased the criminal charge on my record so I'm clean now. But all-in-all, that's all it took. Get busted once, pay for the crime, you never do it again and I've been a good boy since. It just wasn't worth it.
  13. Wow, it's either somebody completely random looking for anything to make a cheap buck, or somebody you know who knows what you have and want it. Doesn't make sense to sell the laptop to a pawn shop though. If I stole a laptop from somebody I knew, I'd keep it, wipe it clean, then keep it for myself. It's also cool that you got the jewellery back as well, especialy if it was momento's.. It does suck that you can't really get much justice out of minors though. Still, you're getting your stuff back, you know who it was, and everything seems cool. I just hope when their "TIME" is up, they don't go reckless and start going after you guys again for more stuff or worse.
  14. In my experience, this happens when you change your paths after installing. Like, you installed it to the default path then got a new drive and moved everything to that. When you go to run it from the new drive, it shows theres a new version and attempts to install it. However, it installs it back on the original path. You are still running via a shortcut on the new drive, so GameEx doesn't know it's already installed a newer version in a different path. Tom is right though, the best way to fix it is to do a manual install, that will change all the paths in the registry (etc.) to point to your new drive.
  15. Insurance is the one thing we DIDN'T have during our fire. Our neighbors did, and they were able to replace everything electronic within a week at no cost. Myself on the other hand needed to re-buy everything over the last couple years one thing at a time. I argued with Dad and his new wife (the landlord) about the need for getting insurance just incase, but they argue they can't afford it, and thus here we are again hoping every day that nothing happens.
  16. It is the absolute worst feeling in the world. When we had our fire, we were broken into and stuff was stolen before we had a chance to get stuff out that was salvagable. Cops were supposed to be keeping a 24-hour watch on the place, but they musta been having a donut/coffee break. Stole my TV and PS2, and looked through a bunch of old 1980's Playboys I had in my room. I wasn't so upset about what they stole; the TV was broke and the PS2 probably didn't work anymore, but just knowing that somebody was in there that shouldn't be when the Cops were supposed to be looking out is the worst thing about it. I, too, hope they catch your crooks but fear it's something that will probably just be forgetten.
  17. Dude you HAVE to see Tron Legacy. How can anybody who's into games/computer tech like us have not seen it? I saw it twice in the theater. I don't own it on disc though, and would really like to. I liked how Disney never really had plans to make the movie; it was just a 'preview' of their latest tech they showed at E3/ComicCon to show what Tron would look like 'today' and the audience gave it such a huge ovation that Disney decided to build a movie around it. I absolutely love it. And the opening theme Daft Punk did at the beginning during the narration is just awesome. Did you know that's Daft Punk in the DJ booth in the club? Hah! Cameo.
  18. Congrats to NASA and the people who built the rover and are running the mission. It's got a lot going for it. Pathfinder was the size of a book, whereas Spirit/Opportunity were the size of a TV, this new Curiosity rover is the size of a car! I never knew how bit it was in comparison till I saw a picture of it next to the others. It can go pretty fast over the terrain too, which is a plus. And I think the coolest part is the power source, using a "Radioisotope thermoelectric generator" that will garauntee a long life for a minimum of 14 years (according to wikipedia).
  19. Windows doesn't autocheck online for the driver? It should.. if not, did you try doing a manual install of a generic driver from it's built in list? That "might" work. You could probably get it to the point where it would be recognized as a generic joystick controller, where the wheel is the Z axis, gas is Y and brake is X. The other buttons on the wheel would correspond to regular controller buttons. Were you able to find the manufacturer's website? They might have a contact form or phone number you could try.
  20. Yeah I was hoping I'd be able to watch it tonight, but I have to work tomorrow so I'll end up missing it.
  21. I just watched it, finally, last night. My favorite parts were Rowan Atkinson (of course), Daniel Craig/James Bond, Kenneth Branagh's reading from Shakespear, and the cauldron lighting. J.K. Rowling was a nice touch, but not overly impressive, as was the case with David Beckham. The stage/crowd lighting was pretty cool too. Can't really see the 'costs' unless it was all from research/development of technology and the rent of the celebrities.
