At this point you'll probably want to upload your GameEx.ini to the thread so people can see how you have things set up. Makes things easier. I'm not understanding much but if you're saying you have your gamecube games zipped (idk why you'd want to do that) which is kinda useless if you've already compressed your gamecube games. For example, all of my games have been shrunk (compressed) using programs like GCMUtility. That way you don't need to unzip your games before you can play them, but enjoy the reduced file size like it was zipped. Once a game has been shrunk, there's very little space you could save by zipping an already compressed image. As for your games not loading, make sure your rom extension is in your emulator config within GameEx.

I'm actually recording in .avi I could do the .mp4 with my AMD accelerator. idk how I managed it, but I was able to edit it in Virtual Dub without any errors and was actually able to make a really nice video snap for Mario Power Tennis that I uploaded to emumovies (The old video snap was poopy) I was not able to do this before. Fraps would make emulation so slow I couldn't record without some type of huge frameloss. I lose almost none with this recorder. Here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVqM1p0ALcI&feature=youtu.be

The recording quality of these videos are amazing and almost 0 frame frop but editing with these files is a bitch. I can't figure out why my rendered video is out of sync with the audio by a tiny margin when I do nothing but convert it essentially.

No problem man, it can get frustrating with having to keep up with all the terminology for everything. I love the old GameCube BIOS. But yeah until they get it running more optimally I'll continue to skip it for now. Glad I could have been of some help.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3Z5gXQYOXA&feature=youtu.be Here's the end result! The 1080p recording I did came out so bad I couldn't bring myself to even upload it. I still can't believe I could achieve this...

dooooooo eeetttttttt EDIT: OMG I just tried it at first with the file size set to original (which happened to be 1080p fullscreen) and high quality and it worked better than Fraps but still poopy. Then I tried file size 480p and quality set to normal and it worked AMAZINGLY 60FPS solid! I've never thought I'd live to see the day I could emulate Wii and record it at a solid 60FPS at any resolution! Gonna show comparisons between the 2

Have you tried recording something like Dolphin off of it or PCSX2? ( I know PCSX2 has a video recorder built in but its too slow for live recordings)

Tons of stuff. I have lots of VHS tapes that I'd like to backup, I'd like to do lets plays, record for game/movie reviews plus making video snaps for my Wii/Xbox section of GameEx I'm working on.

It's not the same model, I looked into it and its a really poopy recorder. So I'm not going to worry about it.

Holy hell man lol gotta love that Florida weather. (I'm also from Fl) But damn that sucks... Looking at another one on ebay that works but the disc tray doesn't open. I bought my original Xbox in the same condition for like $15 and it just needed lube in the gears.

I don't know, that might not be the case everything else looks fine. None of the capacitors are bloated/leaking like they were fried. But I know nearly nothing on the subject...

The main problem is it doesn't power on at all. It shows no sign of receiving power nor does it turn on after pressing the power button. I've opened up and since have closed it. I still think its these copper coils that are all burnt looking. I could take it apart later and take a picture of what I'm talking about.

You can set DSPLLE for games through the right click... As for XBF idk what you're talking about. Do you mean XFB (External Frame Buffer)? Normally that is disabled by default. You can change it by going to the Graphics Settings under the Hacks Tab. EDIT: I've just tried to load the BIOS though my emulator and its awful. I don't think they have the best implementation for that right now. You do need the external framebuffer to be on for it to work and that slows emulation down hard. I found these instructions on the internet to get it working: 1) Use the LLE audio backend (that will allow you to have correct sound). 2) Set the "external frame buffer" option to "virtual" (that will fix graphical issues). 3) Make sure "skip bios" is not checked off. 4) Hold the "A" button until you get to the bios (or don't hold "A" and go directly to the game you've selected). After doing that it works fine. Though some games will have problems with framebuffer being on as well as DSPLLE. You just need to decide what you want, good fast emulation or accurate slow emulation.

To get per game setups load the emulator, add your ISO location to it, right click your game, go to properties and voila. BTW Dolphin has been on their Sh** lately and have made tons of improvements and the compatibility is super high with no setting modifications and I highly recommend you update to the latest dev build you can find on their website. I say this because I have a LOT of GameCube and Wii goin on with my rig and I really never have to adjust any settings for any game except for like 3 (Need for Speed Underground 1,2, and Star Wars Rouge Squadron 2). Doesn't bother me much though because I have a real Wii right next to my PC for games that can't be emulated well. As far as the GPU/Controller setups. Again, I have never had to mess with those. But I also have x360 controllers and the Dolphin Bar for real Wiimote playability. If you don't have any 360 controllers or the Dolphin Bar I highly recommend those too. Very worth it. Also dependent on your Graphics Card you'll want to carefully choose your in game renderer. I stick with Direct3D because it seems to be the fastest renderer to me. It may be different with yours. You can also mess with your dolphins settings through the .ini and make even more changes I think you otherwise can't though the GUI.

Thank you for the input Draco, this i the make and model http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=RDRVX521&LOC=3#/howtoTab When I look for help on there it gives the basic "Make sure the plug is in the wall" crap. It's such a shame because this thing is so nice...

Today I went to the local GoodWill and I bought a VHS/DVD Recorder for $10. I nearly crapped. Then I took it home and found out it didn't work. I completely forgot to check if it worked at the store. But either case the specific recorder I have is like a $150-$200 device to buy it used. Does anyone here know how to repair stuff like DVD players? I opened it up and think its these 2 little copper coils because they're the only things that look nasty/burnt. I'd really like to get this thing working so I can replace my crappy old capture dongle.

Anyone else having problems with the new Daemon Tools Lite?
uberpubert69 replied to stigzler's topic in Social Club
New daemon tools sucks, as you may have seen from my problems I've had. Old version (4.0) is pretty decent.- 14 replies

Yeah man, is one monitor a no-no? I usually do but it depends, why?

I checked my display number via my AMD Catalyst Control Center and its #1. I then loaded up the Game Info Plugin and noticed that it said 1 for Game, Attract, and Jukebox. I click on the drop box but 1 is the only option. It seems to me that isn't causing the problem. Unless you mean something within the GameEx configuration itself? EDIT: Would it also help to let you know I can't open the menu in game with shit+tab like it says in the download section? I completely mistook the Gameinfo plugin with the features within GameEx with the descriptions and stuff it has.... whoops lol
-
lol idk why I just seem to have the worst luck with stuff! xD
-
I really hope that isn't the case in this instance. :/

Apparently my Gameinfo plugin is crashing. Halp! log.txt GameEx.ini GameInfo.rar
