Funny... That's how I felt about BF3. I had put so much time into BF2 to get good at it, only to move to BF3 and be a total newb... I didn't want to put in the 100's, if not 1000's, of hours to get to being good. I actually really missed the Commander from BF2, and all of the vehicles & ships of BF1942. I heard the Commander was back for BF4, and that perked my interest a little.

I think they're all pretty sweet! Now, the following is simply an opinion, so take it for what it's worth! Overall, I really like them all. There are only a couple of minor changes I would suggest... For the first two, I would try and let the stars show through in the black areas around the top alien. I think that would make it more seamless, and may improve your liking of it. I would also think about softening the transition between the bottom background and the stars above it. The right side of it looks like it's already softened, but the left side is a hard transition.

How's the beta? I played BF1942 a ton, BF2 forever, but BF3 just didn't click with me, so I pretty much stopped playing...

Yeah, Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. were favorites of mine growing up... I'd ride my bicycle across town, and pump a ton of quarters into those two machines at the gas station... It's pretty bad when you're on a first name basis with all of the employees. You've got to get to Mario's hideout... I don't know what they were thinking when they came up with that level???

Yes, the jump from 34K to over 100K seems insurmountable... I could see improving my score by maybe another 5-10K, but 80K???? Wow!

The strategy does help! But how do you get the big sprayer to show up on each level??? Sometimes when I transition to the next level, it doesn't 'spawn', so I'm stuck with the little gun... But I still improved... 58,000

Yeah... My cabinet has not been set up to play all of these games, or get images captured and set up for posting... I've since started re-populating my games based on the competition games, and reconfigured my control panel to capture screen shots easily, along with improving my process of getting them to posts... So hopefully I'll get to play more! Although I think I tweak my setup more than I ever play...

I'd like to request a enhancement for the "Change View" setting. Since there are so many different views now, and some of them are similar, could we add some type of textual display of what View is currently selected? Either a name, or even simply a number. Maybe have the name/number could be displayed for 5 seconds after "Change View" is selected? This would also help theme designers design for specific views, and be able to indicate to the users which views are applicable to their theme.

Videos take precidence over PNG files, so if you have a bak.avi and a bak.png, the bak.avi will be what GameEx uses.

Sorry to have missed this thread... Glad to hear you like the WarGames theme, but sorry to hear that you're having problems with it. I believe the other members are correct, in that it sounds like a Change View issue. While developing it, a couple of times I would accidentally change view, and it does not work well with the majority of the views. It took me a long time to get it back... I've since disabled Change View on my cabinet... I look forward to hearing if the above suggestions help you sort it out.
