Just a thought or at least something to think about. I know I will be creating and designing themes for both and have already started but whatever you guys think then I will back you up and support it. I will just make everyone aware of my themes using the usual methods.

I can understand where Jaharr01 is coming from as I experience the same issues on other forums as well but that goes to show you how much better this community is and like Draco mention from time to time things can get missed as this is just a hobby for most if not all of us so we don't check the forums on a daily basis as we all have a life outside GameEx and PinballX. I was thinking maybe once Evo is released we may need to expand our forum with a small section for Hyperspin theme creations for GameEx. What do you guys think? I know Hyperspin has it's own forums as well as HyperLaunch but even on those sites they have a section geared toward other frontends at least on the HyperLaunch site they do. Just something to think about especially since Evo will allow us not only Hyperspin community but GameEx community to use those themes in our frontend. What do you guys think? Funny I was just talking about this same kind of issue with my wife the other day how funny it is when you are having troubles with whatever program your using (I generalize it and not just single out one community) and you see that over 100+ views but not one reply. That would be a very rare case in this community as we pretty much will answer or help as much as we can provided you give enough info about your issue such as logs ect ect. I won't go making post about how noone is helping or this place sucks type of comments which I've seen in other places before but it's best just to keep it to myself and search other means to resolve my issue such as YouTube or Google as there is a wealth of info that other people put out there that may have the answer to your ?. Another feature on forums that you may want to look at is the search feature because alot of the same ?'s have been answered before but are burried deep within the forums and the search feature will possibly help locate a similar problem or answer. Since Evo is on the horizon hopefully .... I've been setting up Hyperspin and working on designing themes so that I will be able to apply them to my next EVO theme project. If we had a place here then the rest of this community may know about our themes than having to go over to the Hyperspin forums to find or ask ?'s about themes for EVO.

I know this is a really old thread but on your QuickLaunch settings for MAME remove the quotes "" in the Arguments line. Should just be mame [ROM] not "mame" "[ROM]"

More delays .... soon as I spoke everything was running fine til I turned my computer on tonight and found that I had a corrupt BIOS on my main PC good thing for Dual BIOS motherboards. I think I got it worked out will have to wait a few days and see how it goes. *** UPDATE: All fixed and back up and running!!! ***

Just a little update: Work on the theme has been slow ..... The weather has been really hot lately, watching College and NFL football all day on Sat. & Sundays doesn't help either, and just plain lack of interest that I have had lately to be honest. I have finally got my Gameroom all squared away thou and have everything setup the way I want. I got my PinballX tabletop station setup and running nicely and both my HTPC and ArcadePC stations are now up and running with Windows 8.1 without any issues. Also I managed to create a PS3 console gamestation which I haven't even turned on in over a year to my suprise it actually turned on being that it has had so much dust on it. So I think I am pretty much done with setting up and re-arranging my Gameroom and hope to get back into this soon. After all the football games today I did start working on updating the C64 theme which I should have finished before I go to bed tonight. I'll have a pic of it tomorrow after I get home from work for you all to see. If you liked the first one ... then I think you'll like this one even better.

I picked up a Logitech FlightStick 3D Pro for Zaxxon/Afterburner style games and works very good! Haven't tested yet with Discs of Tron but it's really good stick and cheap got it for only $20.

Yeah I want one of those pull top adjustable 4-8 way ones also would be very convenient to have.

Yeah you need to open them up if you want to convert them over to 4-way for Pac-Man type games. By default they are all set to 8-way. I prefer the balltop joysticks than the X-Arcade ones

If your interested in FightSticks just search for the 3 top mfg of them: Hori, Eightarc and Mad Catz. They make many different FightSticks and they can vary in prices from affordable to expensive. The nice thing about alot of them such as the Mad Catz sticks there are sites dedicated to selling parts/customizing them with led/colored buttons, custom paint/graphics as well as bezels and ball tops. Mad Catz even encourages you to do so. The newest one by them the Xbox One is really sick and they sell a board to add custom lighted buttons however this comes at a price. The FS Pro is pretty cheap at only $99 and is rock solid. Like I said before if you want them to work right out of the box with your PC just make sure they say PC or XBOX/XBOX360. The Eightarc's have a switch on them to change them from PS3 and XBOX/PC mode which is cool because you can use that stick on all systems. There are many other sites that make custom sticks to your specs as well.

I also got one of the Kensington SlimBlade Trackball controllers for my Media Center ArcadePC. If your looking for an alternative trackball controller for a Media Center type PC this thing rocks and it works on Windows 8.1 just plug and play via usb and it will install the drivers automatically. For games like Missile Command, Centipede ect I just map the buttons to the FightStick instead of the ones on the trackball for that more authentic feel. Another nice thing is this trackball takes up less space which is a plus.

I got mine for half the price as there main office is by my house plus I know those guys so got the employee discount

If you get one get the xbox version they work with pc no special drivers detects as a xbox controller on win xp/7 on win 8/8.1 detects as a mc fightstick works with xpadder or pinnacle game profiler as well. All emulators too works just fine. I think the PS3 versions need a special driver 3rd party to get it to work.

Actually I have 2 of them the Tekken Tag Tournament 2 FightStick for 360 and the Mad Catz FightStick Pro for 360. No adapters they plug straight into the PC via USB. Very solid sticks been very happy with them.

Must say the MadCatz Fight sticks work for me as I already had an X-ArcadeTrackball controller solo! Got one of those when they were selling them. The MadCatz Fight Sticks are awesome plus they can be converted to 4-way or 8-way very easily.

After a bit more testing I found out that my new tablet actually was the culprit. The USB cord was really short that came with it so I was using an extension cable and for whatever reason was causing my computer not to boot up correctly but when I plugged it directly into my keyboards USB hub it works fine. Damn that was hard to troubleshoot .... oh well I went ahead and put the SSD that I thought was bad into my other ArcadePC and now everything on that computer is running faster. Win win I suppose. Now soon I can get back to working on some new themes by this weekend I hope pending anymore issues but so far so good keeping fingers crossed.

The problem I found was some games have issues with that build. For example Gauntlet Dark Legacy doesn't work. So I stuck with 0.153 for me until they fix that issue.

Turns out was my SSD going bad so I went down and got a new one today upgraded to a faster one.

@starbuck no I am still around ... having some issues with Win 8.1 not sure if the SSD is going bad or just the install got corrupt so re-installing again this morning on both computers but everything else is pretty much done. Hopefully if all goes well I can get back up and running by tonight. Has anyone else noticed that Win 8.1 diesn't update the icons in the Printers and Devices folder anymore? My Xbox360 controller and Cannon printer icons no longer display they are the generic icons. The used to change when installing unless microsoft changed something.

Sorry I've been re-arranging the man cave and let me tell you this has been a major undertaking reason why I haven't posted in awhile plus been just busy personal life stuff which GameEx has taken a backseat to. Hopefully tonight I can get my Main PC workstation as well as my new PC/PinballX kiosk completed and up and running tonight and thru the weekend find time to work on my new ArcadePC. So my GameEx project is on temp hold. I can't wait to get back into it as I got my new Intuos tablet yesterday and want to learn how to use it! So hopefully soon I'll be back and have an update as well as some new system themes been wanting to add some new ones like the Apple ][ as well as a few others

Thanks Sebastian1314. Glad you like the theme. Have you fixed your MAME theme issue yet?

Any folder you want really just make sure GameEx knows where to find them using the setup wizard.
