  1. You know I was having some trouble with all my games showing when I updated my game list a little while back and found that with Win 8.1 x64 I had to set GameEx to "Run As Admin" then tried updating the list and then all my games showed up. I tried the Verify Roms setting and still got same results until I set GameEx to "Run As Admin" then the list displayed all the games.
  2. Happy belated birthday dude! Sorry man I haven't been around much but starting to get back into it once again. Cheers!
  3. Yes indeed! Very much thankful for Family, Friends, Pets, Health and GameEx ... now somebody pass me the turkey as I am starving!
  4. Ok guys I decided to create a whole new theme that is based off of my Gameroom Ex theme. I tweaked a few things and since GameEx is really geared toward both HTPC's and Arcades I decided to shift gears and improve upon what I did with my Gameroom themes and create an Arcade HTPC look. Here is my first screenshot of my WIP so far. [uPDATE 11-27-14] cleaned up the interface and added some text effects. [uPDATE 11-29-14] added some graphical improvements.
  5. I managed to compile mame 0.156 tonight without a hitch haven't tried the UI version yet but so far the new compiled version works just fine. I was having issues with the Compiler trying to d/l a new list which it just froze so I manually installed the new mame source and the hi score patch plus it only list 0.155 source and hi score patch maybe that had something to do with it.
  6. Yeah I figured that out as those 2 options are pretty much all that I need it was more of curiousity really and wanting to learn more about it.
  7. Hi guys I know I've been kinda out of the theme designing scene for a few months and actually I've been lurking around the forums from time to time. I actually removed GameEx for a bit of time ... I know as bad as that sounds it was because I re-formatted my system and decided to start a fresh and just haven't got around to doing it until today and being that I am home on holiday (turkey) vacation and that Evo's release is still a bit aways I went ahead and re-installed GameEx 12.32 and I am in the process of learning setting everything up all over again. It's almost like getting a new toy again (almost ). Well with that said I am back and soon yes soon I will be getting back into this and have elected to re-design a few things with my theme not sure yet what that will be but rest asure you will be seeing some activity whether it is some updated wip pictures or actual theme updates/releases. Good to be back and anxiously awaiting Evo's release day! as well as GameEx's holiday update that is coming soon.
  8. Thanks for all the hard work you put into it as it is cool being able to easily compile MAME and the new UI looks very nice like it alot. Now I just need to figure out what all those other options you have in there actually do as there are quite a few check boxes and not sure what they all do or if I need to include them other than force direct input and 64-bit Target.
  9. Yes this is indeed my favorite plugin of all as I utilize it to run third party apps that adds new features to my system. Awesome job!!
  10. Ahhh you might be right Draco my bad I misunderstood. I really like the new UI look thou.
  11. Just tried compiling a new MameUI using your new compiler and still crashes! Can't figure it out why I can't still compile WinUI version. Also when trying to d/l the hi-score diff patch it crashes the program as well when you select everything to d/l but when you select it after d/l the others then it worked ok.
  12. Me neither as my MAME issues is something totally different issue sorry .... Hopefully he can find out what is happening with the Mameui compiling. I am glad at least it wasn't anything I was doing wrong.
  13. Well I tried even the MAME command line version from the Dev site and it does the same thing regarding updating the list as it also only shows something like 68 or 70 games in GameEx. Outside Of Gameex it works just fine using Maneui as it displays all my games
  14. I think the whole mame 0.155 is screwy or something because when I try to update my mame list in gameex all I get to show is like 70 games. U am using the new history and mameinfo.dat files too I just haven't said anything about that as I been testing everything but to no avail.
  15. Will not compile WinUI at the very end I get errors!! I am using MAME 0.155 source along with the MAMEUI source. Compiled ok for the command line just not when trying to create the UI version of MAME 0.155. I have had no issues in the past when compiling my own versions of MAME not sure why when compiling the UI version it errors out at the end. It might be the source code thats the issue as the error is: src/osd/windows/netdev.c.5:42:error.no.bool windows_osd_interface:network_int() type of error.
  16. Works great with Visual & Future Pinball as well!!
  17. Razer has the Black Widow Ultimate RGB that is similar type of keyboard but not as customisable with the light displays but can have independent key lights and color profiles. I hear thou the colors are a bit brighter but they don't use cherry MX switches either which are suppose to be the best. Anyone looking for this type of keyboard can look to either Corsair or Razer.
  18. What caught my attention was being able to light any key and colors that I want independent of each other for each game or application that I run so I could light just the arrow keys in one color and wsad keys in another with the rest off if I so choose. So now all my games and emulators can have the keys for each lit for that specific program. As well as having custom light show.
  19. So lately there is alot of craze with all these RGB LED mechanical keyboards and mice. Well I jumped in and upgraded my system to the Corsair K95 RGB and the Corsair M65 RGB mouse. This fricking keyboard is above and beyond anything I could ever expect but came at a cost as this bad boy set me back $189+tax from Fry's and the mouse was $69 but man I am so happy with both of these! You can do any lighting effect that you can possibly imagine and also have independent key lighting using16.8 million possible colors to choose from. Someone even made a Lighting effect profile with Pac-Man lighting animation just eye dropping. You guys should check these products out on YouTube and see them in action. The keboard uses cherry MX red switches as well.
  20. haha I am sure you will .... I been trying to increase my skills so I can deliver some nice themes [emoji6]
  21. I see. I never messed with XBMC before but recently saw a YouTube video of it and decided to install it and give it a try. Why for the life of me I never even payed much attention and never noticed it all this time. Guess my age is starting to show. Guess I spend too much time creating themes and never used many of the features included matter of fact I don't even play many of the games as theme designing just consumes much of my time. Thanks
  22. ummm I think there are files missing in that zip Tom as I don't see any updated GameEx.exe or plugin???? unless I am missing something.
