  1. Successfully compiled both MAME64 and MAMEUI64 versions on Win 8.1 Pro with the latest MAME Compiler! (Used the latest 0.158 source) Thanks
  2. ArcadeGuns is what I got after getting tired of trying to get my Wiimotes to work correctly and must say never looked back as these guns are awesome! Thanks to my wife for getting me these for Christmas.
  3. Mine doesn't as it displays the tapatalk logo when booting up. Haven't had any crashes either thank goodness or else I would of un-installed it by now.
  4. They just updated the app and fixing all the complaints they been getting.
  5. You can setup the Win 8 store Netflix app using a shortcut via Stardock's ModernMix and have GameEx launch it as an external application. A matter of fact you can do that with any Win 8 Store apps or games. ModernMix is the only program I know of that allows you to create desktop shortcuts to any Win 8 Store app then you can move them to any folder that you want and have them run fullscreen or windowed.
  6. Ok guys to give you an idea of what I was talking about with using a custom graphical menu in your theme look at the menu option that I selected called "Gameroom". One nice thing with this I can have each system have it's own custom menus seperate from each other if I want too.
  7. Working great for me! Using it on my iPhone 5 and iPad 3 thou the new layout of the menus and icons were a bit confusing at first.
  8. UPDATE!: Now that I have the ability to add HyperLaunch within GameEx and have been messing around with it and have it working with several systems with custom bezels so far .... it's looking pretty sweet especially since I'm running it on a 4 monitor setup using GameExtender and Display Fusion I can display individual game info on all monitors including a marquee on one of them. Each game can have it's own graphics on each monitor. Very cool!! I'm always trying to find ways to push the boundry's on what can be done within GameEx. Well my newest addition is the ability to have custom graphical menu's .... yupppers no more text as I can now have any image I want to replace the text in my menu with whatever I create using png images. There are some limitations but still neat none the less. Soon I'll be able to show you what I am talking about. Also I have been working behind the scenes on this theme and revising it with a new name as well ... "Gameroom Media Center" is now the new official name for it not sure if it will see the light of day before EVO is released but I have had alot of new ideas and I am testing them out just like I mentioned above. Who knows what will come from this theme but it's looking good so far. So with that said I am moving it's current status from "ON HOLD" to "WIP".
  9. Just a quick correction for the command line (Should read): HyperLaunch.exe -s "Atari 2600" -r "[ROM]" -f "F:\GameEx\GameEx.exe" -p "GameEx"
  10. I can confirm similar issue however I did not try messing with the game info option but when I turned off GameExtender it would launch the emulator but with it on it would not and just freeze you could Escape and exit back to the menu but not launch anything. I was thinking maybe had something to do with Win 8.1 so I am re-installing Win 7 and going to try it out on that tonight to see if it happens again if so I will try the game info option you mentioned and see what happens but If I remember correctly I had Game Info set to Off as well on my system I noticed the issue. I cuurently don't have GameEx installed but will later tonight hopefully I will have time to fiddle around with more but I can't give you guys any more info than that right now as I am not up and running right now. Forgot to mention Mame & Daphne did not have this issue (was using gamex default setup for those systems not HyperLaunch) only other emulators you setup like Atari 2600 at first I thought maybe it had something to do with HyperLaunch but no I tested it without HyperLaunch and same issue. also tested my HyperLaunch command line in a cmd prompt outside gameex and it ran just fine. Note: Tested on GameEx 14/14.01 snd 14.02 all same results
  11. Give me a OOOOOHHHHH HELLLLLLL YEAAAAHHHHHHH! :D :D
  12. BizHawk is very easy to setup. I use it for Colecovision and a few others. Runs and looks good too.
  13. I been thinking of moving alot of systems over to retroarch and bizhawk. The Atari LYNX pic that you see was using Mednafen. All my themes are 1920x1080 as well as I run everything on a HDTV. I found out Stella so far isn't playing nice with the bezel feature so might have to switch that over to retroarch as that works with bezels.
  14. Just to show you guys what can be done when using HL with GameEx here is a custom bezel project I have been working on with Hyperspin that will now be available to use in GameEx using HyperLaunch. This is actual gameplay using a custom bezel I made. Each game can have a custom bezel and Instruction cards as well.
  15. Yeah the beauty of it is you can select which systems you want to use HyperLaunch or those you don't. If it doesn't work for you with a set system then don't use it for that system and the problem systems report the issues to HyperLaunch team as they will fix it if it's a bug within HyperLaunch or at least help you with the issues. Yes I agree multi-game (disc) systems is better thru HyperLaunch but remember EVO will more than likely address that issue but again you have choices now within GameEx on what you want to use to launch your systems. With all this new excitement of using HL now in GameEx and that I actually have it working I think I might get back into working on designing a new theme for my HTPC/Arcade/Pinball system. Forgot to mention .... for HyperLaunch command line parameters look here.
  16. So far no issues .... it shutdown correctly and exits back to GameEx smoothly the test that I have done so far. HyperPause works as well need to run more test on that feature but I have been able to enter and use all options in HyperPause and exit back to the game smoothly too. Really diggin HyperLaunch so far within GameEx! Nice playing around with what I can do with it in GameEx while we wait for EVO plus I'm sure it will work within EVO too once it's released. Note: Newest versions of HyperLaunch is still in beta but they are releasing updates and new/updated modules for emulators. Very good times ahead for sure for the GameEx community. Also note that you no longer need Hyperspin installed to use HyperLaunch which is how I am using this currently as I have it installed in it's own folder called HyperLaunch.
  17. Well today I have finally setup and got HyperLaunch's Beta 3.1.0.3 up and running within GameEx. Really cool stuff here that you can now do within GameEx that was only possible within the Hyperspin Frontend before but now the guys have made HyperLaunch work with any FE. Was a bit tricky trying to figure out how this would work within GameEx as I've always used it in Hyperspin but with the help of Brolly, Bleasby and DJVJ (Thanks very much guys!!) I have got it up and running and have managed to not only launch just my games but able to use custom Bezels, Instruction Cards and HyperPause as well as all the other cool things that you could only do in Hyperspin but now doing it within GameEx. Very cool!! Go check it out over at the HyperLaunch site. Example on how to setup the command line within GameEx is: HyperLaunch.exe -s "Atari 2600" -r "[ROMName]" -f "F:\GameEx\GameEx.exe" -p "GameEx" -s "Atari 2600" = Will be the System Name that you setup in HLHQ (System.xml) -f "F:\GameEx\GameEx.exe" = Path to your GameEx.exe Note: This only works for the newest beta versions of HyperLaunch also make sure you setup GameEx as the default FE within HLHQ.
  18. I just got the Arcade Guns and these work brilliantly in Win 8.1
  19. For me I gotta give a shout out for Stardock's Start8 and ModernMix these two programs are just awesome for Win 8.1 users!! ModernMix especially since it will allow you to create shortcuts of any Win 8 Store App/Game and put it on your desktop and have them run in Window or Fullscreen.
  20. If your wondering what I used to take that screenshot ..... I used Action!
  21. Just a FYI that I found a spelling error in the Setup Wizard: Gimme Casino: Gimme Casion
  22. Well I am taking some ideas that I was working on in this theme and going to save it for Evolution. So for now this theme is on hold but will continue once Evolution arrives. Glad you guys like it and I have alot of ideas but the current engine just can't do what I want so I think I'll wait and see what will be possible with Evo. At least I know you guys like the direction I was taking this and can't wait what I'll be able to do with Evo. One thing is for sure with all the time I've had waiting I been working on my graphical skills, trying/learning out various paint programs as well as learning and fully setting up Hyperspin (also created some themes and bezels) now that I have that fully running and I will be ready to implemet those themes into Evo once it arrives!
