  1. Another strange thing : When i'm on the list of emulators like on the video above, displaying my custom background for each emulator, Gameex play random game video of the emulator selected. Thoses videos doesn't have sound, but if i enter the gamelist, videos have sound. Isn't sound allowed for "Image 2" ? Can you confirm this too Adultery ? Thanks
  2. Switching from "Use Background Image" to "Use Game/Item" Image doesn't change anything Here is my Gameex.ini if needed GameEx.ini
  3. The problem is well resumed in the settings : you have three choices : 1 :Use Background Image 2: Use Black Background 3: Use Game/Item Image So when a game/Item image is not found, it should (in my opinion ) use background image. Instead of that, it display black background. My theme is set to use background/snap. changing the theme settings does'nt resolve the problem. I have to try to change the Background Mode as suggested, perhaps it changes something. I'll let you know Thanks
  4. Thanks Adultery. New thread is here :
  5. I've made a video to show the problem i encounter. See Below. I explain. My game list view display artwork background for each game. I've set up a custom background wich is the gamecube image that appears when "Nintendo Gamecube" is selected. The same image is set as "no snap" image. When i enter in the Gamecube Game list, game artwork is displayed in background ( i think it's searching matching file in this order : background->Box->snap). But when a game has no artwork and gameex can't find a suitable one, the background is black as you can see in the video. I want to display the "custom background image" when Gameex doesn't find a suitable artwork. Is it possible or is it a non implemented feature ? Better than words, see the video below, the problem appears when i go above the most played games list, when there is an empty line ->black background, and it's the same if it can't find a suitable artwork : Black_Background_Problem.mkv EDIT : Adultery has answered he can reproduce the problem so it appears it's a bug. Can it be fixed in a future update ? Thanks for your work
  6. Thanks stigzler, i think i'll make my own thread about this problem because it seems it's a bug for me.
  7. So here is the video. I've used GameCube list to show the problem. As you can see, there is an emulator background image for Gamecube (i've set this in the setup wizard as custom background for the emulator and for the "no snap" image.) When i enter the game list, i want to display this background image instead of the black background you can see when Gameex doesn't find an artwork. Notice that when there is no snap to display, the emulator background image is well displayed in the snap or box location, but not in the background. I hope it's more clear Black_Background_Problem.mkv
  8. Yes i've found this in the meantime. I've got another problem so perhaps you know the solution too.... I display artwork in the background of the game list (it seems to pick up matching file in that order if it exists :background->Box->Snap->None (black background)) Instead of the black background,if no matching artwork is found, i want to display the default emulator background. I've set the "no snap image", so when there is no "image 1 or image2" artwork, the no snap file is well displayed in the image 1 and image 2 location but not in the background (black background). I don't know if it's really clear, perhaps i have to record a mini video to show this. Thanks
  9. Another one : Could the game list fade out or blend when inactive to be able to view more of the background of the selected game ?
  10. If you use the artwork downloader, they are named "logos". Don't miss to setup the logos path for the emulator in the setup wizard !
  11. Ok then i'll wait next update. Thanks for your work
  12. Yes, this one is OK after updating Perhaps you can check other databases on the repository as it seems somethings as broken them : Sega CD only 7 entries Playstation 2 7 entries too Gameboy color 7 entries.......... BTW, thanks for the Master System update !!!
  13. Any chance to get the old .mdb databases ? I've just found that many of the new .db3 databases are not full ( for example Master System has only 15 entries ) If i remember well the .mdb was full As .mdbs are still allowed in Gammex, can we download them somewhere or someone using an old version have them ? Thanks
  14. Now Gameex has eye-candy stuff like background and logos, i've checked the theme editor and i'm a bit frustrated on how it works. I've experimented some things and quite a good result but i've one or two questions about it : 1- Can i had an object in the theme editor : i want to put "Image 3" (it will be the carts) on the game description but i don't have found a way to add an object (is it limited to 2 images? ) 2- I have many emulators and i don't want that all emulators pages are displaying the same. For example, for the SNES page, i want the video in the top right corner instead of on h the left because i've a special background for SNES (like in Hyperspin). In the theme editor, i can see layouts but i can't add one for a new emulator, i just can edit those already in the list Should i have to play with .ini files and create new ones ? Is there another way to do this? Thanks
  15. Ok, it was my theme not showing the upper menu bar, fixed now Thanks RedDog !
  16. Thanks, i've found the "add to favorites" option, and added a few ones to favorites....but.....where are they now ?. They are not on the top of the station list and not in the main "Favorites" menu...... I'll try with other themes
  17. Thanks RedDog As it has already been requested, perhaps i just have to wait for. I don't have found "add to favourite" in the radio section, but perhaps it's my theme that hide this setting ( i can see "add to favourite" in the games list, not in the radio list )
  18. Hi! I've tried to find a .ini or .cgf file or something like that to be able to edit the radio stations list. The only thing i've found is with Setup wizard but it only allow editing 30 stations and i don't know how to do this ( there is more than 300 radio stations in the list ) The is not so much threads about radio stations in the forum and i don't have found an answer in them. Any help wil be great. Thanks
  19. Same thing for me here with Kega and latest update. If "Use 16-bit color" is turned on in Gameex Setup Wizard, it works. Strange
  20. Ok i think i've found the problem I've updated Alcohol52 to latest version and the problem disapeared The old version seems to have problem on W10 with virtual drive So it wasn't Gamex Thanks !
  21. Hello. I'm on Windows 10 & i have issue with Gameex. For 3 times now, the Gameex.ini has gone blank and lost my config! (now i backup this file!!) I think it appears since Gameex has a background process. Sometimes, if i exit Gameex, and restart it, it doesn't launch the second time, (process is still running) I'm obliged to kill the process and then restart it It appears only if i already have launch Gamex at least one time I have disabled lua so i don't think it is about rights (was on Windows 7 before) Strange issue.. Here is my backed up Gameex.ini : GameEx.ini
  22. Hi! I was playing with daemon tools and other Virtual CD tools wich finally works but when i've restarted Gameex, there is a crash saying illegal caracter in a path I've checked my paths and i've found nothing "illegal" I've reinstalled Gameex and cleared cache files but the problem is still here. I'm on french Windows 10 Here are my logs : Gameex.zip It was working before playing with those iso tools... Thanks
  23. Arf, VirtualCloneDrive can't mount cue files, i'll try Alcohol or wait for another solution.......
  24. Well, after deeper tests, some emulators doesn't recognize the virtual drive, whenever it's mounted For example Fusion, Magic Engine & Epsxe doesn't see the drive...... Switching to VirtualCloneDrive as it works without problem Thanks
  25. Ok Thanks. I've tried with an older Daemon Tools setup ( V5.01) and it works with windows 10 The command line has changed as there is no more scsi mounting in the lite version So the command line is now : dtlite.exe -mount dt, "[Rompath]\[Romfile]" In the 5.01 version, the DTAgent is still here (tray icon) and drive letter can be configured. I think it's the last usable version
