Tom, you don't have to download it ALL over again, filezilla (ftp client) will resume if you just match the final directory structure on your hard drive.

For some reason now I don't see all the posts in a thread anymore. Now I just see one post at a time and a bunch of links at the bottom of the page of the other messages in the thread. Anyone else having this problem? I have tried to fix it in the settings but nothing works.

There seems to be some confusion about how to actually set up the MAME videos with different front ends. This is an article that I wrote that explains the all the directories and how to implement the videos with your front end. If any more detail's are needed I will work on something better. The correct way to prepare the MAME videos for GameEx is to copy the files from the vertical folder into the horizontal folder. That will replace the vertical "letterboxed" games with vertical 3:4 videos. Now they will play perfectly in gameex. That is why all of the different formats in the collection, mamewah for example requires the "letterboxed" versions to play right, whereas gameex doesn't.

Fourteen Monthsâ?¦ What can happen in just fourteen months? Let me tell youâ?¦.. Letâ??s start with deciding to create the most complete, high quality, MAME video set. Then letâ??s add a baby, company struggling then finally going completely under, job hunts, new job, and no time to spare. Add to that the hosting for this site went crazy this last year and the site ended up being retooled and relaunched. Now on the other end of that fourteen months I look back and do not understand why I even tried to make this set. And still I sit back with a big grin and realize I just completed a Video Preview Set with 7 ,435 video clips. EmuMovies just had itâ??s 3rd anniversary on March 19th and if I add up all of the videos I have made in those fist two years the total is 6,757. Every single video in this set was played and then hand edited for content, to create the most accurate preview possible. I am proud of this set, it is the highest quality video set that I have ever produced. Everything that I have figured out in the last 3 years about what would make the best set has been applied. Avg 30 sec files, actual gameplay with all the sounds and music, 3-5 sec of title sequence, cropping, artwork, and the files captured in such a way to make it perfect no matter the front end (HQ, SQ, Vertical, Horizontal). To sum up the MAME Video Snaps are DONE, COMPLETED, IN THE BAG, WOOHOOOOO!!!! I do need to say this, I have now actually played EACH and EVERY SINGLE MAME GAMEâ?¦. Oh my god, there are ALOT of really crap games. I would think to myself, â??this shit was actually in a thousand plus dollar arcade machine and people would play quarters to play?? WTF??!!??â? Seriously though, everyone should try that just once, it will really sap your will Seriously though, I hope everyone really enjoys this latest EmuMovies release, it has been my pleasure to produce it. Expect updates to the latest mame version shortly and updates for new versions regularly. Effective immediately this set will be included on all DVD orders and has been uploaded to the FTP Server. The torrent will be made available May 1st 2008. I have decided to wait on the torrent release to give all the folks who have supported this site over the past year a little something extra for their support. I canâ??t say how much I thank the EmuMovies supporters out there. Itâ??s been alot of fun getting real hosting, and relaunching the new website this last year, and being able to open the FTP site with direct downloads has been a kick!

It was definately a mistake on my part, I had deleted the old torrent when I changed out some hard drives. I think I am going to try my hand at dat files when I get my next few days off to alliviate the confusion.

Plus you can get MAME vids on another torrent on the site. The only torrents that I can not link to on my site are the NINTENDO ones, mainly because I have a very strong torrent site that ensures there are always seeders, unfortunately no nintendo content allowed. But anyone can always make their own videos, many have and it just takes time. "J'essairais find this famous torrent pir but I would come back when designing my terminal. " What does that mean :?

The torrent includes everything but Nintendo videos, there is no good PERMANENT tracker to host these on so I supply bandwidth for them for a $15 lifetime fee. I have seen them on a private invite only torrent site, so you might try searching. If you go to the order page you will see the discount running right now for the ftp. Also Neo-Geo, CPS 1 & 2 are also in the mame vids.

I did want to clarify that pleasuredome allows some of us to share our FREE status torrents freely. I have a leacher acct that allows my to distribute my pleasuredome based FREE torrents on my website. You do not need to be a member of pleasuredome to use them and I do not have to concern myself with being banned. Also I do not have to link to that site from my site which is a plus.

Strange the new SQ set uses the same encoding as the older 1.06 set. I have never had any problems with my vids in gameex but I only use the xvid codec, it decodes divx as well but the divx codec creates nothing but headaches these days, and I do not use ffdshow.

I am so excited about this, I have been super busy lately and have not been on the boards. I see this and it is the ONE thing I have been waiting for since I switched from Mala to GameEX. Power up my cab to install and try it out and POOF, computer is fried. Argghhh, after much testing it looks like the MOBO is gone, sucks, hopefully I will be able to fix it by christmas. No Intro's are separated by country just like Good tools, but instead of having 10 diff us roms 5 jap roms and 2 european roms, you have 1 US 1 JAP 1 EUR that is guaranteed clean. Also as far as the snaps are concerned, I am working on that. You will already find many of the sets over at emumovies.

What I like aboutno-intro is that there are not 10 roms for each game, it is an extremely clean set with very clean file names. Also the are no overdumps or bad dumps and no homebrew.

I have to wait until the torrent gets set to [Free Status] before my distribution torrent will work. So there is usually a 2-3 day delay from when I first post the torrent until I can announce it. Thanks for all the compliments guys!

OK now I understand exactly what goodmerged is, but I try to keep my game list as small as possible, right now I am focusing on (U) only, however I will add and requests that I get.

I don't understand the number of files comment as the No-Intro is a pretty clean set as well as more up to date and the content is 1 per game not multiples. I know which torrents you are talking about, those are not the same file sets at all. Those torrents are not EmuMovies releases, The new sets that I am putting out all completely match (File Names). The videos will be rereleased with the no-intro naming convention. But it is a work in progress, I only started working on this about four months ago, and it's alot of work.

Not a bad idea, depending on how much set up time, we are eventually talking about over 100,000 files.

I think the DB are great but I was waiting for them to be finalized and added to the installer. Since switching to GameEx I have been trying as fast as I can to compile all of the manuals titles, snaps, carts, boxes etc etc to use in GameEX. And hopefully give GameEX users a place to go where they can easily download them. Also by having all of the files use the same names it should take all of the work out of it and make the extras a plug and play solution. One of the big things that I am doing for manuals is using scans when possible or if not formatting the txt ones so that they can be easily read in the gameex system. That way I can have the most complete set possible.
